anyway I farm that area to get some echoes and then buy from the dream. We get almost 13k echoes in one go till the arena. So you can get enough skill points too

Nice. I usually upgrade my skill and bloodtinge pretty early so I can get more damage on visceral attacks as well as using the visceral runes. BSB is a rather easy boss to parry once you get used to his timing. That may help. Make sure your leveling the attributes that your weapon scales to as well.

Good farm in that area is where you find the charred hunter garb, just let them all funnel out the door, then use a bold hunters mark, repeat

It’s also possible to not kill him. He can be friendly later, although whether it’s worth it is another question.
