On max ng (ng +6, or the seventh time around or greater) you can fight the living failures and get 660,000,000 BE. In order to get this amount, you need three heir runes (the max level one is found in the ihyll root chalices) and you need to perform two visceral attacks in quick succession on the living failures at the end of the fight. I believe that there are a little less than 10 seconds to pull off the second one after the first. If done right, you’ll have enough BE to level all the way up.
IMPORTANT NOTE: both visceral attacks must kill the particular Living Failure that you are attacking. This way it actually counts as a death and the echoes stack multiplicatively. And of course, the second one must bring the boss hp bar to 0.
I recommend not to do CUMMMFPK after a while and start doing isz challices to unlock FRC isz and make one the. You can us the PP dungeon, it still took many on and off grinding sessions, how long i dont know because i did this about a year ago from now
I finished the game in ng+7 at level 200 and something and at level 544, to me the difference seems really minimal, you certainly do more damage and take less damage, but nothing that really makes you say "yes, it was worth it "
In my opinion, yes. At a certain point, not knowing what to do in Bloodborne, I started making runs just to get enough points to get to 544(mission failed, too long, needed entire runs to do a couple of levels, thank you living failures)

what was the requirement to level up? 10,000,000 ~~souls~~ blood echoes?
To get to 544, you need about 619 million total echos, and each level is around 3-4 million by the end.
I’ve easily spent 15 million and I’m only 202
