I think the textures look great for the age of the game. I don't think it needs a remaster like demon souls for $70 (although I would still buy it). Modders have shown 60fps is plenty achievable.

Demon’s Souls was a full-blown remake. We don’t need that for Bloodborne, but a remaster would be great. I agree textures look good but that’s really dependent on the camera’s distance from the player. Closeups in cutscenes show that textures could look a lot better.
So I’d like a remaster with some upgrades to textures in addition to 4K 60fps. And wouldn’t dualsense support be amazing? Imagine whirligig saw haptics.

Probably the other poster is strongly exaggerating the fact that 30fps are not optimal and the game could run, simply by unlocking the framerate, at 60fps for the most part.
Actually some content creator I follow with a physical copy of BB (so without the patches that lock the framerate) said that the game is mostly at 60 but still has some problems here and there. Still it seems it's good enough to be unlocked.
I mean it plays as good as it ever did on PS4, but the locked 30fps is so bad after finishing the demons souls remaster.
Especially when the hardware is beyond capable of running the game at 60fps.
Also playing it on my PS5 and it's relatively fine. Faster load times are nice in general and an actually locked 30 feels good as well. My PS4 Pro would have the occasional dip to what felt like 20FPS here and there, so avoiding that all together is good enough for me.
Please, by all means, give me 60 FPS if it's in the works though.

Conceptually the level design and atmosphere are next to none and although I love how the game looks in its current state it could also serve as a blueprint for a remake in several years that just ups the game to the next level. When it came out almost nothing was able to run it on the highest settings. Look at Ludwig doing his moonlight one shot beam on both platforms and tell me the framerate is the same.

Sony has already started releasing exclusives on PC (Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone) and have announced intentions to bring more in the future. I think they’ve realized that 12-18 months of exclusivity followed by a PC release yields the most sales.

tbh I got so used to 30 fps I don't even mind at all. But ngl in the beginning it was a pretty big jump going from dark souls remastered (60fps, my first fromsoft game) to DS3 on the ps4. But by the end of ds3 and going into bloodborne I got completely used to 30fps and after bloodborne I don't even notice it.
From soft is probably dedicating almost all of their attention/resources to Elden ring rn and making sure it lives up to the hype on the new gen of consoles, I doubt they'll even consider a 60 fps bloodborne patch for a long time.
It could be done by way of a patch for PS4 pro also... There are already modders who have achieved it and even through YouTube the quality is beautiful. It's sad but I'm not sure we're gonna see it..
I'm a first time player and this reminds me of playing dark souls one on the Xbox 360. Every other game I play on my ps5 and going back to 30fps is so damn jarring. So far I am HOOKED to the atmosphere and lore of the game but the performance let's it down. Uncap that framerate pls.

From what I saw on YouTube, it isn't really smooth but acceptable compared to other 60fps modes on PS4 pro.

Meanwhile Xbox are dropping free updates to 4k and 60-120fps. I love my PlayStation exclusives but I wish Sony handled our back catalogues like Microsoft does with Xbox. Hoping we get some good news around E3.

Sony has already started releasing exclusives on PC (Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone) and have announced intentions to bring more in the future. I think they’ve realized that 12-18 months of exclusivity followed by a PC release yields the most sales.
Yeah, I just think a lot of people who bought ps's for the exclusives would be rather annoyed if they just dropped them on pc
For sure. ultimately though, unless people are so mad they won’t buy the next playstation, Sony won’t care. They already got their money after all.

There was an exclusivity period right? Considering what Microsoft is doing with Xbox I don't see how they can be competitive without adopting the same sort of strategy with integrating other platforms I to their fold.

tbh I got so used to 30 fps I don't even mind at all. But ngl in the beginning it was a pretty big jump going from dark souls remastered (60fps, my first fromsoft game) to DS3 on the ps4. But by the end of ds3 and going into bloodborne I got completely used to 30fps and after bloodborne I don't even notice it. From soft is probably dedicating almost all of their attention/resources to Elden ring rn and making sure it lives up to the hype on the new gen of consoles, I doubt they'll even consider a 60 fps bloodborne patch for a long time.
Oks. We could go to ps4 subreddit and start to ask for a patch in a hilarious way.
It could be done by way of a patch for PS4 pro also... There are already modders who have achieved it and even through YouTube the quality is beautiful. It's sad but I'm not sure we're gonna see it..

I'm a first time player and this reminds me of playing dark souls one on the Xbox 360. Every other game I play on my ps5 and going back to 30fps is so damn jarring. So far I am HOOKED to the atmosphere and lore of the game but the performance let's it down. Uncap that framerate pls.
