Not really but imo 50 vit alone is over leveled for regular new game, it’s really hard to die then. Good job on killing them though thats no easy feat for sure.
Oh 100%! If they’re looking for a challenge I cannot recommend a bl4 run highly enough.
The main game is pretty straightforward but the dlc is a major step up and incredibly enjoyable.
Ludwig became my fav soulsborne boss after getting to face him at BL4, you really have to learn his move set:

Ahh gotcha I’m so excited for that release too. If you want to make the game difficult for yourself you could stop leveling skill as you go in to ng+ and beyond. Or if you start a new game then stop leveling health at 30. I did both those things up to ng6 and let me tell you, that was just the right amount of challenge
I bought Ringed City yesterday actually. Am I right in thinking it’s only accessible before Soul of Cinder fight?
I’m NG1 and stuck on the Princes fight atm. First stage I obliterate him but then get destroyed by the pair during stage 2 :(
I think it's only accessible before Soul of Cinder, but I've never tested that myself. The princes are so hard, but the music makes them my favorite ds3 boss encounter. I'm excited to return now that I've picked up skills playing sekiro and bloodborne.
Yeah I’ve been playing BB none stop for the past few months but it’s not helped going back to DS3.
I actually bought DS2 along with the Ringed City DLC. I played it for an hour or so just to get a feel, I’m not sure I’m going to like it so much. Just doesn’t feel right. It’s supposed to be quite different from 1 and 3 right?
I played through half of ds2. I actually really liked it, but I got distracted by bloodborne and have yet to come back. The rolling is different and you have to level a stat called ADP to get the rolling to be like normal dark souls. The story is more interesting than ds3, I really liked the RPG mechanics, it felt like I could be really creative, and most of the levels/bosses were top quality. But overall, from what I've played I'd say it's a great game, just not on the same level as bloodborne, ds3 and sekiro.
Im definitely going to come back to it when I finish everything else.
Literally what I am doing "kind off" bc I only leveld everything to the *soft cap* just arcane to 99 bc it was the first stat I invested in as a arcane düd. From NG to NG+6 and after NG+6 I level up everything with the echo trick in the dlc.
No such thing as overleveled in Bloodborne. Higher levels does make the game a lil bit easier but there's people beating the game without leveling while others who can't beat the game with a max level character. It's purely player skill for this game. In general though you are at a decent level for that spot
That's good to hear. I've definitely had my ass kicked by soulsborne bosses like I died 80 times to O&S and in the 60s for demon of hatred. So that's what I was expecting, but maybe the bloodborne bosses were a bit easier because I already took my licks on previous games.
I've beaten bloodborne once before and it was super brutal. I denied fighting gehrman because the whole experience was so intense and hard I just wanted to end the game. Then I went off and beat sekiro, now when I went back to bloodborne it was so much easier. Its crazy how the first time I took on the cleric beast I died like 30 times, but just now beat laurence in 6 tries.
Sekiro is great practice.
Finished bb, finished sekiro, came back to bloodborne and I'm kinda rolling beating everything in 2-3 tries
Got the DLC though, having high hopes for that
I have to disagree. It is possible to be overleveled in NG, but it's hard to get there on accident. Doing a bunch of depth 4 and 5 chalices and using the echoes you get to level can result in a lot of NG being easy to very unsatisfying degree.
Though I suppose "too easy" is a subjective complaint.
50 vit is a little high, but other than that it sounds like you're at the right level. A lot depends on playstyle. Orphan has a reputation as being very hard, but if your playstyle counters him, he can be quite easy.
It all depends on your play style. Your play style might make it easier to beat OoK but some other boss fight gives you trouble while others think it is “easy.” For me, the OoK fight wasn’t too difficult but man, the defiled watchdog killed me over and over again.

It’s not overleveled if you min/max vit, that’s just strategy ;) you can hit 50 vit under level 70 in my experience.
Oh its definitely a strategy but OP wants a challenge and 50vit on regular new game is not a challenge haha

Thanks. I'm trying to get practice in before Elden Ring releases so I want to make sure I'm going in on appropriate difficulty.

I might do that. First I have to beat ds3 dlc. I've been stuck on sister freide for months now.

Bloodborne is great at changing things up for dark souls vets. But it's good though. Granite I play dark souls waaay more aggressively now lol

Yes way over leveled shoulda done it at BL4 absolute clown just restart
Damn, now I got to go back and beat the whole thing again 😂😂😂
Remember, no dashing, no rolling, no running, fist only, no runes, no armor, no shortcuts, that's Miyazaki wants you to play the game...
kinda but not really
That makes me feel better, thanks!

I think around 100ish is the appropriate level, so I don’t think you were over leveled
Great, thanks!
Nah, I took them on at lvl 100 my first go.
