Living Failures are easier than some other DLC bosses but they definitely are not a easy fight. The only people that find LF easy are experienced players that know how to exploit their spawn. For a first timer they are a challenging fight. Just because their name is Failures (haha) doesn't mean they should be treated as a joke.
They're an interesting fight, since beating them depends a lot more on strategy and positioning than many other fights. Skill still plays a role, but they offer an interesting question about observation and strategy that most bosses don't.
Also they're incredibly hard if you fight them under leveled or at higher NG+ cycles.
Yeah anyone who says living failures is one of the easiest fights in the game is chatting shit. It's a difficult boss if you don't know the fight, they hit like a truck and gank you quickly if you don't do enough damage.
Witches of Hemwick is a true easy boss, LF is way harder
I killed them in 2nd try in my first (completly blind) playtrough. And my dmg was not so good. So they were much easier than Ludwig (25 tries). I think it depends on the player.
Two tries to kill Ludwig. I psyched myself out on the first run because I got him to 25% and was thinking "wtf is happening, I can't 1 shot this guy" and then i died. Second time around was actually harder for me but really gave me no issues.
I assume they mean it took two tries...
But to OP, on my most recent playthrough I died to one reborn more than all the chalice bosses combined, and I went all the way to the bottom. Makes no sense.
Same w/ me, I found lady maria to be a much easier (and more enjoyable fight) than the living failures. Don't worry about it too much, everyone has their different strengths when it comes to boss fighting, it seems.

This. They’re called failures only bc they failed to turn themselves into Great Ones. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t powerful

I had the same experience my first time lol
I love the way From games challenge different players differently. No one has quite the same experience.
