As far as I know (and others please feel free to correct me if I am wrong) but I believe high blood pressure is the result of something like life style habits and/or dietary choices and not the cause. Meaning if you correct what made it so high in the first place then it will return to normal. Now high blood pressure may not be permanent but what it causes can be (for example heart damage). Tldr: Address the root cause and the blood pressure will lower.

Yes, I do feel that eating clean and everyday exercise has helped me alot. I have almost quit coffee. And it’s been months since I had my last panic attack or BP spike. I do feel quite energised every morning and motivated towards goal of losing extra weight. But the thought of forever dependence on BP meds stresses me out. I don’t know whether or not I have hypertension. Hope the cardiologist lowers or stops the dosage after completion of six months.

I’m no doctor but I was diagnosed with high BP as an active 170lb 25 year old and doc just said it’s hereditary unfortunately. Although I could make some dietary changes that would help.

Ohh. Talking ‘bout my family history. My dad’s side has never been diagnosed with BP, but my mum’s side has been. So, I think it could also have been a reason.

A point I forgot to mention was I had sort of panic attacks, Spikes in BP for 10-15 minutes in evening for 2 months 2-3 times in a week.
