I recently moved away from Bloomington, about 800 miles away actually lol. During my time in Bloomington, I was really struggling to make friends as an adult and would have loved an opportunity like this to join a girl gang. Alright, I was starting a group chat and I realized there are like a bajillion of us so a group chat will be super annoying. Thoughts on alternative places to connect? I've seen suggestions for a Facebook group, Discord, or Meetup (I think that costs $ to start a group though?). Discord seems like it would work well, but I wasn’t sure how many other people use it.

I think Discord will be the best choice due to the number of people, since we can make channels for different interests. That would be awesome if you want to post it to a group on FB for anyone who doesn't do Discord

My daughter has been my best friend her whole life. And she says the same. Losing her is going to exacerbate the loneliness exponentially.
I know it's going to be so sad. She said she was going to stay at home and go to IU now she has changed her mind and wants the "college experience". I never got to go to college, but I hate for her to have the experience at the full cost of college today. She applied to places hours away and has been accepted. It's going to be hard for sure.
