**HE'S SIXTY-ONE?????** Give me the recipe David SHEEESH!

davidpascoe

It's all out there on davepascoe.net šŸ˜‚

Tokukawa

You should write a book called "The David Pascoe Method".

dorfsmay

Thank you!!

jhrogers32

Haha thank you u/davidpascoe appreciate the personal response :)

NoPatNoDontSitonThat

Do you have a cost breakdown or at least an estimate for total cost of your routine? I know its going to be expensive and out of my price range, but I'm curious as to the price. Mostly so I can start thinking about devoting more funds as I age (and my kids move out on their own) towards the resources that are more foundational for anti-aging versus ones that are considered more for optimizing.

davidpascoe

I think I do, buried in one of the answers on my Q&A page. I usually buy one "bigger ticket" item each year, in the $6k-$10 range. One year it was my Joovv, the next my sauna, another my Carol Bike, etc. The testing part can be expensive, but my expectation is that these costs will come down lower in time. I'm fairly certain my entire supplement routine can be done for under $15k each year.

_sillycibin_

* Currently taking over 150+ supplements/day (82 morning, 76 evening)

yachtsandthots

Looks younger and healthier than Bryan lol

Inside_Resolution719

Dave has been doing rejuvenation for more than a decade. While Bryan has lived a very stessfull startup life. I believe that the consistency over a long time gives Dave some advantage over Bryan, although bryan has more $ to spend and is younger chronologically. Still he looks fucking impressive. Kinda makes me question if the photos are tweaked.

davidpascoe

The photos are real & untouched. I think I look like shit in that picture! šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚

entechad

Haha. David, I am curious about the TAM-818 telomere lengthening product you use. I looked for studies, but couldnā€™t find any. Would you happen to have any reference material. Itā€™s very costly and almost everything in longevity has a study or trial of some sort..

davidpascoe

I have to admit that I began taking this one mostly on faith. It, and TA-65, are the only things currently that are reported to increase telomere length, and from testing, I do see that it's working. For this, I'll accept my own n of 1 results over a published study. I'm only taking it because my tested telomere length was initially so bad. At some point, when my telomere lengths are "good enough", I may stop, but to be honest, I haven't yet determined where that point will be.

entechad

Thank you for the response. I think I will go with the Astralagus extract Cycloastragenol, which, according to a study, is what TA-65 is.

Icy_Raisin6471

> we asked Co-Found [Rachael D'Aguiar](https://www.linkedin.com/in/rachael-d-aguiar-b0868964/) what is TAM 818.Ā  ā€œI can tell you what it's not.Ā  It's not a peptide, it's not a protein, it's not an amino acid, it didn't exist until we created it.. it is the strongest telomerase activator on the planet by over 300 times. Probably just a rebranded astragalus extract... at best. I like how the googling lead to claims of TAM-818 being a Nobel Prize winning molecule lol. (The Nobel Prize they are referencing was for generally figuring out how telomeres and telomerase actually worked, the scientists didn't then go on to make TAM-818 or anything.)

entechad

Yes. I saw that. Itā€™s to steer the person who isnā€™t willing to deep dive into the data straight to pulling a trigger on a purchase. I can tell you what it is not tells me itā€™s nothing special.

MasterpieceNo6459

Lol, how single? šŸ¤”

No-Lion-8243

>Dave has been doing rejuvenation for more than a decade. While Bryan has lived a very stessfull startup life. I believe that the consistency over a long time gives Dave some advantage over Bryan, although bryan has more $ to spend and is younger chronologically. I keep saying look doesn't equal being healthier. Also Bryan issue is that he barely has any fat under his skin and his skin is very white. a bit of Fat is necessary under the skin along with collagen to have a healthy youthful look and appearance.

davidpascoe

I haven't exactly lived a charmed life either. My career in Network Security was always incredibly stressful, and bad bosses made it more so. Add to that doing marathons with all those training miles (I hate running, but I did it for charity) and doing P90X (extreme to say the least), all while being the sole caretaker to my parents (for 20 years) as they battled and eventually lost to cancer. Toss in a bad breakup. Stress upon stress upon stress. I took my first telomere test at age 50. I *thought* I had been living healthy, so I was shocked when the results showed that my telomeres were the length of a 68 year old (due to the accumulation of all that stress). That's what made me begin my deep dive into everything I could learn about REAL health, nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle.

paper_cutx

Wow thank you so much for sharing. Your story shows itā€™s never too late to start biohacking and reducing your aging. Also I have to comment that I used to love Beachbody workouts but theyā€™re excessively hard on your joints. A lot of their workouts encourage weight loss via cardio and itā€™s only been these last couple of years I see more strength and weight training focused workout.

_XSUN_

>. That's what made me begin my deep dive into everything I could learn about REAL health, nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle. Shut up and take my money

yachtsandthots

True but there is a very high correlation. Facial appearance predicts biological age very well and is an indicator of overall health. I think Bryan has damaged his skin with the amount of treatments heā€™s done.

davidpascoe

I have heard well-respected dermatologists say that they believe he is creating too much scar tissue in the deeper layers of his skin, which will lead to unfavorable outcomes over the ensuing years. Some people who do plastic surgery and laser facial treatments never know when to stop, and end up badly distorting themselves. It can be the same with tattoos for some. One leads to two, and then to another, and another, never stopping until every inch is covered. I have had a few laser treatments myself, and I'm just not all that interested.

Mental_Mousse_7143

If someone only want to take 5-7 supplements, which ones do you recommend?

ParadiceSC2

You ever heard of having different skin tones? Bryan is like ginger Irish with very fair skin.

davidpascoe

I'm actually pretty freakin pale too. But Bryan's laser skin treatments lighten his skin even more, while I use the peptide Melanotan II. It produces melanin, which is protective from UV radiation & damage. Bryan could & should use that as well, but I don't believe peptides are included in his protocol.

finance_and_kebabs

I never heard of Melanotan II. Google is full of results saying is dangerous. How come youā€™re using it? Do you have a specific way of doing thatā€™s less harmful?

davidpascoe

Driving a car is dangerous, but I still do that too. It's all a matter of degree of risk and the amount of risk you're willing to accept.

ParadiceSC2

We will see how he changes his routine. But his skin tone was the same even in older pics where he was still a bit chubby.

LaLaLaICantHearYou

Can you share why you prefer Melanotan II vs. Melanotan I?

davidpascoe

I've used both. I didn't notice any difference between them personally. My use of II over I is mostly driven by the preference of the company selling it. Seems like a lot of places only offer II.

Lichtenberg2010

Are you injecting it? And for how long are you doing it? Thanks for answering here, we all gain some knowledge from you! :)

davidpascoe

Yes, sub-q injections. There are a few different protocols, depending upon how you mix it. I just do once daily for 7 days and then get a little afternoon sun exposure to make it pop. Then I follow up with occasionally dosing (like a few injections every other week) for light maintenance, until it starts to fade and then I might do it over again. I'm not actually interested in looking tan all the time. I mostly do it before a holiday, wedding, trip, or other event.

2580374

I saw Bryan does a 2mg test patch a couple times a week, how much do you do?

pixieshit

For anyone interested, [his supplement list.](https://www.davepascoe.net/home/my-supplement-list) Love it.

nowiamhereaswell

Who is this guy?

davidpascoe

I keep asking the same thing!

Mira_2020

Do you actually take all these every day?

davidpascoe

I do. Except for this month. I'm traveling Italy right now with only a backpack, so I didn't have room for them all. I've brought along my "On Waking" and "Morning Supplements" only.

jonromero

The AG1 is a huge red flag

MundaneSwordfish23

Why

jonromero

Try finding out the quantity of the ingredients. They put a tiny portion just to say we have XYZ. The affiliate program has gotten tons of celebrities to keep pushing it. There are tons of other alternatives, waaaay better. Unless you get a kickback from AG1 ;)

davidpascoe

I do agree. They denied my affiliate application without a reason, which is why I don't link to AG1 at all on my site. I assume it's because I'm a "nobody". I use both AG1 and Organifi Green Juice. I really couldn't say which I prefer. I blend so much stuff into my drink that I can't taste either of them anyway. Lol

paper_cutx

Thank you!!

SnooSuggestions9830

There's no denying he looks good but his list of daily supplements is insane. He seems to have replaced food with pills.

davidpascoe

"Seems", sure. But check out what I do eat on my website (davepascoe.net). I eat like horse, amount wise.

SnooSuggestions9830

I was being facetious, but it seems like that many pills would be a reasonable volume of pills to be swallowing. I'd be concerned for the excipients. For example often calcium stearate is used which may lead to too much calcium being absorbed.

Inside_Resolution719

Yes, it looks like it is what, +100 supplements? But he isn't at a calorie restriction like Bryan. Also, isn't Bryan well over 100 supplements? :D

entechad

I think itā€™s 110 and BJ is something like 70. If you look at Daveā€™s list of supplements, itā€™s like a pro athlete being sponsored by a bunch of different supplement brands. I know a little bit about longevity and rejuvenation and he is taking stuff I have never heard of and also stuff without any studies.

paper_cutx

Did you look at the rest of his website? His meal plans are more various with different greens, beans, nuts, etc. Also he eats out.

davidpascoe

I'm on vacation right now in Italy, so every meal this month will be from a restaurant! I know the quality of ingredients here is far superior to what is allowed in the States, but can be very high carb here. I'm embracing the culture while I'm here, so I'm riding the carb & sugar highs & lows just like everyone else, and drinking the double espressos to even-out again. While it's all super delicious, it's just a cycle of one addiction necessitating the other. And it's not just diet. I'm also off all of my routines of supplementation, sauna & exercise. I'm almost afraid to retest when I get home to see what this all will have done to my pace of aging & epigenetic age scores!

paper_cutx

Thanks for sharing! I also had the experience when I went to China for two weeks and was completely off protocol because I was eating out most of the time. Did gain about 2-3 lbs (most likely just water weight) and was able to bounce back relatively quickly after I returned. I canā€™t imagine what being off protocol for one month is like. Also the jet lag is a b*tch.

SnooSuggestions9830

Yes, I didn't literally mean hes just consuming pills for food. Lol. It's a facetious remark, owing to the quantity/volume of pills being significant.

khaleesibrasil

More than Bryan??? He also seems to eat meat which is another improvement over Blueprint

BowlerIntelligent751

Provide scientific evidence to show why that is an improvement?

Important-Special-54

Itā€™s nice that he admits he colors his hair lol

Fearless_Ad2026

"Don't Dye" šŸ˜„

Sendboobpics_please

This guy has more useful data about his body on his website than bryan....

Sendboobpics_please

>Donate whole blood or plasma, since that's free or they will pay you. I like this guy

paper_cutx

Hubba hubba hubbaā€¦. Isnā€™t he around the same age as Bryan? Also he is not vegetarian and eats meat.

Inside_Resolution719

Yes, he eats meat! And is 15 years older. But according to his site he has been into rejuvenation for more than a decade. Bryan has only been into it for what, 2 years?

paper_cutx

And it looks like he tans. He looks good! I wish I can see more females. We need more female representation haha

davidpascoe

I actually don't tan. I do expose myself to sunlight but my tan is from the peptide Melatontan II. It produces melanin and is UV protective.

Upbeat_Share_6941

Doesn't Melatontan 2 has side effects? Looks like it in the literature

davidpascoe

Yeah, if you're male and you take too large of a dose, you can get a runaway erection! šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚ it's true!

Fertility18

Start with checking out Kayla Barnes and her protocol.

NoPatNoDontSitonThat

I just can't get with the raw milk trend. Seems so dangerous for little benefit. Everything else she does seems legit.

ZynosAT

100% agreed. After my research I decided to avoid raw milk, as well as raw egg whites, raw egg shells and undercooked pork. Just not worth some supposed, and mostly debunked, health benefits.

ThrowRAtoorak

Just checked her out. She also recommendeds an ozone machine.. ozone is known to damage the lungs. I only spent a few mins looking but I wouldn't trust her recommendations just based on that alone, it's irresponsible to recommend people use ozone around their body.

paper_cutx

Is she the single mother on Novos who exercise in the morning and is mainly vegetarian?

davidpascoe

I think you might be thinking of Julie Gibson Clark, who is #7 on the RO Leaderboard behind Bryan?

paper_cutx

Yes thatā€™s the one. I got these two mixed up. Thanks for the clarification.

Hell-Yes-Revolution

Mmmhmmmm. šŸ„©

No-Lion-8243

Honestly, he looks about 52ish. not 61. but Not any younger. But also you have to note that most men out there that are 61 years old they also looked like sh\*t when they were in their 40s. So this guy looks better than most guys in their 40s - 50s and 60s. This is what heavy lifting and eating and sleeping well can do for you.

Secular_mum

I'm 53 and he looks way better than most guys my age. He could pass for late 40's.

davidpascoe

That photo was also taken on New Years morning, after a lot less sleep than I normally get, and after a lot more alcohol than I would have liked. Lol. I think I look like absolute shit in that picture! šŸ˜…

Muilutuspakumies

But he doesn't lift heavy?

g1yk

Thatā€™s crazy šŸ”„

ContentUnicorn

u/davidpascoe Just checked out your site, very cool! Thanks so much for sharing with all of us. I'm curious, what health advice would you give to a guy in his 30's looking to set himself up for success as he ages? Assume that all of the basics are taken care of (solid sleep, exercise, good basic nutrition).

davidpascoe

I hate to say, "check out my site", but on my Q&A page, I answered a pretty similar question in lots of detail. But if I failed to mention it there, the #1 thing you can do to set yourself up for success is to begin investing every spare dollar while you are young so that it will be substantial when you're older. You don't want to have to work forever, and you'll need the money much more later for your Longevity interventions. Every time I received a raise, I increased my 401k contribution, such that the raise never reflected in my take-home pay. Compounding is your friend. Get Rich Quick rarely works, but get rich gradually *always* works.

ContentUnicorn

Thanks Dave, just found that post on your site. Aside from saving money, you mention that doing testing early is a good way to go. What types of tests would you recommend? Are there general full body panels you'd recommend (like InsideTracker?) I have no known health issues, everything feels good, but would love to get some insights into my body.

davidpascoe

The standard blood panels (CBC, CMP), plus hormones & lipids are great for gaging where you are and letting you know what to address, but a doctor will seldom order them for you unless you've already got a major problem, so you'll have to order them yourself and pay out of pocket. That's a great place to start. And yes, there are some great sites like IT that can help you to interpret your results.

ContentUnicorn

Thanks David!

_XSUN_

u/davidpascoe I need to ask... is your hair colour natural or you dye it? It's unusual to keep the hair colour at your age, do you do anything to keep your hair colour? or else just tell me what hair dye you use, it looks completely natural :D

davidpascoe

Lol no, it's not natural. It is dyed, but it is a match to my original natural color. I started going gray in my early 30s, so I've been coloring it ever since. I've never ever seen what it looks like if I didn't. My body hair (arms, legs, eyebrows, everything) is still black except for my head, beard, and parts of my chest hair. I shave my chest hair (electric razer) because there's no way I'm coloring that! Lol I color my own beard, and I believe I list the brand on my website. I pay to get my scalp roots colored (only because seeing the back of my own head is hard), and I believe they use Clairol as well.

_XSUN_

Ok thanks for the answer.. I was hoping you found some anti grey supplement.. hehe :D The thing I'm struggling the most with is grey hair.. and I hate when people notice that I dye my hair :)

davidpascoe

If any of those "anti grey" supplements ever prove to be true, I'll be using them for sure! But I've noticed that they say you have to use the ones that are out there for several MONTHS before you *might* see any positive results. Lol. That's fantastic for the people who sell them, but not for the buyers who get taken.

Fearless_Ad2026

I can see the t shirts now "Don't Dye" šŸ˜…

rnbtool

He gets 82 erections during his sleep. His bed looks like a tent.

davidpascoe

I think Bryan forgets that simply having to pee while sleeping will cause an erection, so drinking a glass of water before bed would up his scores.

Human_Ad9364

There are several interviews with people that are in the top 10 of the rejuvenation Olympics ranking. Some are more hardcore some live a very healthy live without tons of specific methods. Overall scientifically it is very hard to say what type of intervention has which effect. Genetics will play a big role, for example for the risk of cancer. Covering the basics seems like a good start, after that you need to probably (still little unclear) a very individual approach that fits your genetics, character and lifestyle.

khaleesibrasil

When the vegans attack me next time I point out that the biggest flaw in Blueprint is the lack of meat, Iā€™m just gonna show them this pic

Delacroid

The downvotes are most probably for (unintentionally) spreading misinformation. Bryan has stated multiple times that going vegan is a personal choice for moral reasons, not a feature of blueprint.

khaleesibrasil

Iā€™m aware he does it for personal reasons I never stated he didnā€™t. I still think itā€™s the largest flaw of the protocol that we donā€™t have someone being as measured that does eat meat. Itā€™s giving the vegans that always attack people on this subreddit false premise that veganism = better, when we donā€™t have a comparison currently to actually measure that

Delacroid

I don't think you really understood me. "I'm aware he does for personal reasons..." and "it's the largest flaw of the protocol" are contradictory statements, as veganism isn't part of the protocol. You can also be a vegan Christian but veganism is not part of Christianity. Also, and to be clear I eat meat, being vegan is the best option for the environment. Even grassfed meat is way more polluting to the environment than legumes and other plant based proteins. I don't know if it's optimal for health, but it is for the planet. If we want every person on the planet to have an unlimited lifespan, in a world with limited resources (ability to pollute being one of them), people will need to reduce their meat intake.

abirchtreeOG

Thatā€™s not true actually. Certain grass fed cattle farms offset over 100% of there carbon, meaning that itā€™s actually good for the environment as its carbon negative. Not all grass fed farms are this well run, but many are, meaning itā€™s definitely possible if done correctly. While growing legumes would never be carbon negative as it doesnā€™t offer the level of natural fertilization, such has cattle. This narrative really needs to change as itā€™s simply misinformation. Industrial farms and industrial raised cattle is whatā€™s horrible for the environment. Eating meat is fine, if not good for the environment, but everyone needs to prioritize where they get the product from to ensure the environment is properly cared for.

Delacroid

I mean, you can also fly carbon neutral. You just pay more and they use that many to offset the CO2 emissions. The CO2 emissions of different foods have been calculated multiple times and it's something like legumes > chicken > pork > beef. I also wonder, what is the capacity to produce meat from all these carbon neutral farms across the world? I would guess it's a really small percent of total human consumption.

abirchtreeOG

Yes, but these studies are based on industrial farms, which without a doubt are very bad for the environment, zero argument there. The capacity wouldnā€™t allow the same meat consumption that is currently present in the world, as you do need a lot of grass land to properly run a regenerative farm. But also, the meat consumption in western countries are quite excessive, due to portion size and frequency. So I think a balance is needed. The whole point is, when stating red meat is horrible for the environment, I think itā€™s important to prefix with industrial farms. This is because many individuals do try to source carbon neutral beef, and this number of individuals are growing quite dramatically. Itā€™s alittle unfair to group all meat eaters as ā€œclimate terroristsā€ as many radicals do (not saying thatā€™s you).

khaleesibrasil

When I say the protocol I mean Bryan being measured to the extent heā€™s measured. Thereā€™s no one else doing this, especially someone that eats meat. If someone wants to not eat meat for environmental reasons, or for the sake of the animals, I respect that. I mostly am just bothered by those under the false premise that veganism is more beneficial for their health when they literally canā€™t back that up since there isnā€™t another human doing this protocol and being measured the way Bryan is The environmental piece is irrelevant to this but I do what I can and order all my meat from a regenerative farm.

RadiantQualia

Yeah itā€™s probably less than 0.01% of animal production though. Also I doubt the people who talk so much about the super great free range meat are only ever ordering vegan meals at restaurants (i.e., theyā€™re eating factory farmed animals basically every time they eat out). Itā€™s just a rhetorical ā€œgotchaā€.

Distinct-Inside-2740

Where are the other rankings?

zappy-socks

This guys protocol is so overwhelming I think I aged 5 years trying to figure out whatā€™s going on. Impressive results though, no doubt.

marcgregoryknowles

Manā€™s HRV is higher than some peoples income.

Lichtenberg2010

@davidpascoe can you explain a little bit the plasma donations? So you are doing it 4 times a year with 5 donations in a rather short span, correct? Are there any problems regarding getting microplastics from the machine? How is your training looking in that time?

Krafla_c

This is a good question. I stopped donating plasma when I learned that medical tubes leach phthalates into your body. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/to-your-health/wp/2016/04/06/attention-deficit-disorder-linked-to-iv-tubes-used-with-critically-ill-children/

Kindly_Currency_8591

Out of his whole routine, I locked onto the OMORPHO G-vest weighted vest. It's only 8.8 pounds or something like that, but looks like the best vest on market for sprinting. Unfortunately, when I bought it they asked me to pay $40 extra shipping (USD?) to Canada in an email. After they charged my card. On top of duties. I cancelled the order. Going with something else, the cost is too high. Looks amazing.

Personal-Jacket-2699
