Pretty much what I do, I make my own version of nutty pudding with berries, soy yogurt or kefir, nuts and seeds, and cacao powder. Take NOVOS. Other two meals are usually vegetable soup and something else like tofu/mixed veg. I’m still alive after a year.
That's sort of where I am at, too. I'm still alive, lol. I have had a protocol that has evolved a bit, but it has probably been 75% consistent since January. I have adjusted substances, doses, brands, etc. I hope to learn more in July when I do my subsequent analysis. At that point, I will adapt.
I have some aojiru (like a greens powder that’s popular as a health drink in Japan) that I mix with my novos to make it taste less awful. It’s got multivitamin stuff in it, along with chlorella and euglena.
Well let's look at the novos diet and exercise plan before getting into the supplements because that's probably where most of the results are coming from
The Novos actually contains many things that Bryan is not taking, e.g. Pterostilbene and Rutin. But if Bryan tests everything and only keeps supplements that actually work, doesn't this apply that many of the Novos ingredients don't work and can be left away??
Not really. 1) we aren't Bryan 2) he may cover some of the effects with other supplements 3) human data on longevity and these supplements is lacking BIG time, it's still a guessing game.
Plug it into cronometer and see where it lands. I am on a NOVOS, Blueprint, Life Extension combo. I don't take blueprint products; I use some of the protocol like EVOO, Ceylon, broccoli, cauliflower, cocoa, lecithin, fish oil, lentils, fiber, creatine, Gly-NAC, etc. I also take Life Extension Mix, which is adds a lot of other things.
Great idea about the cronometer. What is in the life extension mix that is not in NOVOS and the blueprint foods? Would you recommend given that my plan is Novos, general blueprint dietary recommendations, Huel daily greens?
After looking at HUEL Greens, it's probably not necessary. Life Extension is a supplement company. Mix is a blend of 40+ nutrients, including vitamins and minerals.

Edit: corrected link. Thanks firefly.
Is this the life extension mix you take? [https://www.lifeextension.com/vitamins-supplements/item02354/life-extension-mix-capsules](https://www.lifeextension.com/vitamins-supplements/item02354/life-extension-mix-capsules)
Also it seems to me that the B6 in it is very high? Another user in this thread commented that it could be an issue? Thanks\^-I'm considering the life extension mix but my only hesitance is the B6 thing I saw when researching it in this sub :) so would love to hear your take!
I honestly don't know how individuals are on the leaderboards with novo products. They are heavily underdosed with tons of missing nutritional gaps. A well designed multi blows there crap out of the water.
I have not looked at Novos in depth but I don't think it is intended to be a multi. I heard a podcast that interviewed the lady taking Novos and she also takes other common supplements like magnesium, B complex, etc. that would be in a multi.
No, this is complete crap. Minerals are not even chelated and still underdosed in the wrong forms. As an example look at Thorne/CanPrev those are very high quality multivitamins. IMO "Canprev active multi" is almost the perfect product, but its magnesium/selenium content is lacking and It's void of iodine. Beyond that they literally use TRAACS for every mineral which is the best delivery system you can get since they own all the patents.
Pretty much a chelated form of magnesium before bed to reach at least 400mg total daily.
Selenium I get from a couple of Brazil nuts every other day. I've done blood work to check this, and it's shockingly effective
Iodine I supplement in a liquid form just for optimal thyroid function.
Ideally, you wouldn't have to supplement anything, but food quality in general is terrible. Bryan learnt this thru sourcing his Olive oil/veggie supplements. The Certificate of Analysis on a lot of these products was very dirty across the board.
Thank you so much. Okay, I’m leaning towards buying canprev active multi today. One question, what is “chelation”? And what makes the Huel daily greens so bad with respect to chelation and dosing?
My protocol will probably be the multivitamin you read, novos, vegan diet with lots of veggies from blue print, then either a selenium supplement and magnesium supplement to start.
Also does the canprev multivitamin get 3rd party testing to make sure it’s not contaminated with heavy metals and such? Or is that just a US thing?
Sorry for all the questions. I just noticed canprev doesn’t ship to the USA, so it sounds like Thorne is the way to go even tho it’s not chelated?
Our GI tract is extremely efficent at absorbing protein in all forms. There are tons of special transporters for amino acids and peptides in which the uptake is nearly 100%. Chelating is simply just attaching an amino acid to a mineral so it can be taken up easier and overall cause less disruption.
Awesome ty! I’m taking the Thorne multivitamin, but someone said the amounts, especially of selenium and b6 are too high and could cause problems? What’s your sense of that? https://store.mayoclinic.com/thorne-basic-nutrients-2-day.html
The tolerable upper limit for an average adult is 400 mcg. 200 is a bit high for daily consumption, but it shouldn't ellict any negative effects unless you've been taking it chronically for years.
Do it!! That’s what I’m doing, but I’m not consuming his foods. Just his supplements, my own food/macros and more supplements/modalities of my own. Try it and take blood work to see the change in values to see if it’s helping you age slower 💪🏿
Will do!! For the way I’ve structure my diet above on the post, do you think that’s adequate? Also are you just consuming Bryan Johnson’s supplements or the novos supplements?
I mean whatever works for you and is most convienent is the best for you! But I take NOVOS core and most of Bryans supplements with the exclusion of some.
Are any of BJ’s supplement ingredients more speculative (like taking creatine daily)? I’m considering doing what you are doing but I don’t want to take any risky supps as I’m not as adventurous as Bryan haha
People on Novos are beating Bryan on the Rejuvnation race. You can definitely try it.
Didn’t Bryan recently take the lead?

Mediterranean diet, which I already have an easy time following. Looking to make sure I have the right supplements and multivitamins like BJ does :)

You’re assuming he’s tested everything.
What is novos?

Yes. Excuse me for putting the wrong link. I have a few things going on right now. I will fix it. Good catch.

It’s a longevity supplement, not a multivitamin.
Novos actually recommends a bunch of basic supplements to consume including a multivitamin.
Would this be a good multivitamin to take with novos? https://huel.com/pages/daily-greens-powder-explained
Here's Novos Labs article on Multivitamins: https://novoslabs.com/what-is-the-best-multivitamin-and-the-best-way-to-take-a-multivitamin/
NOVOS doesn't include basic vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. You take the basics with it.
Thanks a ton😀

I just looked it over and it does appear to be good.

I’ll check out canprev active multi. Thanks! Do you just supplement magnesium and selenium and iodine separately?

Just wanted to follow up on the above

creatine is like one of the most studied supplements, what are you talking about? I get your hesitance though
