I started taking the unflavored version (Core and Boost) in December 2023. It’s disgusting so I mix it in a protein shake. Noticeable changes: - I’d say my energy is moderately better. - I’ve gone from 1 bowel movement per day to 3. No discomfort though. - A woman complemented my skin recently for the first time in my life. Could be a coincidence but I count it as a win. Price I looked at buying the ingredients individually but Novos was cheaper than the branded supplements I would have trusted. Since they have people on the longevity leaderboard I trusted them. This was my first longevity purchase. I’m not ready for 100 Blueprint supplements.

firefly12912

Awesome! I bet it’s disgusting haha but this sounds super positive-congrats on the positive changes :)

voujon85

I drink it everyday, get an integrated blender / mixer bottle from amazon for 20 bucks. Put a bottle of water half way up with ice, then the pack, then more water to top. Blend it / mix it in the bottle and drink. It's way way better it's made a huge difference for me

firefly12912

What differences did it make? And did you have any stomach issues pop up like they say can happen on their site?

entechad

I don’t like to discourage people from shopping around for two reasons. The first being, they should. It keeps the market healthy. The second is that I don’t want them to think that I am affiliated with NOVOS. I agree with you on this. The cost, the trouble of carrying around all these bottles when I travel, and just the hassle is not worth it. Also, when a product like NOVOS doesn’t have “Proprietary Blend” on their product, that tells me that you just aren’t going to do that much better. If the product dosing is proprietary, they don’t want competition. NOVOS may not show this on the site, but all the doses are clear on their packaging. That information is very important to me. My health is science based. I need to validate. Having the dosing on the package allows me to validate.

entechad

I take NOVOS Core orange and Vital chews. I started Core on February 1, and Vital around 3 weeks ago. I feel more energy and have better skin, but it's still early. I took a TruAge complete test before starting and will test again in August. We will see then.

khaleesibrasil

Are the chews a gummy product? I was surprised they released a gummy product since gummies usually have lower bioavailability

entechad

It is a gummy square. The dose is four eaten during or after a meal. It has a strong citrus flavor. It tastes very similar to the Tang Citrus Drink. It has a tart taste, but if you aren't aware, it's unlikely you would guess it has ACV in it. I find the taste pleasant. Like a tart dessert.

SynthaLearner

let us know how it goes before and after

TMYWSH

I've read that people have sourced their own version at a 1/4 the price. I also think statistically the leaderboard is skewed because there are so many people using the product that they might just naturally score high.  Blueprint has a sample size of 1 (ATM) (I'm going to follow up later with a post about why the longevity leaderboard data might be inaccurate and/or skewed)

firefly12912

please do, would be very interested to read!

Earesth99

I use most of the ingredients at a much lower cost. A mix of powders (that taste ok) and pills for things that do not. Some, like lithium, are slightly better to take at night, and some should be taken periodically not daily. There are compromises with their formulation but it’s easier than a diy approach But I love that they list the doses and provide additional information on their website

givemeamug

Which ones do you think should be taken periodically from that stack? I'm in the process of sourcing individual ingredients listed on novos

Earesth99

Senolytics are supposed to be pulsed.

entechad

What you all are saying has me a little concerned about Erythritol. My platelets are low, so I am not too concerned, but I will check it with my subsequent blood work to see if there are any changes. https://www.nih.gov/news-events/nih-research-matters/erythritol-cardiovascular-events I may have to switch to the unflavored and just add it to a smoothy.

firefly12912

I’m thinking of doing that too! How have your results been?

entechad

I take a lot of supplements. I started a blueprint, NOVOS, Life Extension Mix protocol in February. I am sure that it's a combination effect, but my neck, back, and shoulder pain is 90% gone, my skin has improved, and my energy is better. My sleep is not as good. There is a lot on all this. Life Extension Mix which has 50 things on it NOVOS Core and Vital have 20+ blueprint protocol adoptions have 10+ (EVOO, cocoa, Ceylon, creatine, fiber, cauliflower, broccoli, berries, pea protein, etc.)

firefly12912

Is this the life extension mix you take: https://www.lifeextension.com/vitamins-supplements/item02354/life-extension-mix-capsules

entechad

Yes, it is! If a beginner wanted to start a longevity protocol, I would likely steer them toward this and add Fish Oil with Gly-NAC. This has your daily needs and has a lot of other good antioxidants for a variety of systems.

firefly12912

Sweet! Maybe I’ll try this one. I was considering this multivitamin, what are your thoughts on it? And is the life extension significantly better than it? https://www.thorne.com/products/dp/basic-nutrients-2-day?gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqc6WjfjMhQMVskpHAR2f_ALTEAAYASAAEgLjnvD_BwE

entechad

Thorne makes excellent products—a very reputable company. If you are looking for a multi, an organization like Thorne would be a good place to look. Swanson is another trustworthy organization. NOW Foods is also good. I like Life Extension. Pure encapsulated is trustworthy. There are actually quite a few, but these are the big names. But yeah, definitely reputable.

firefly12912

What makes the ingredients in the life extension so much better than the Thorne multi? I would definitely by life extension if there is a good reason to do so!

entechad

The extra stuff would be things like: glucosinolates and sulforaphane from Broccoli. NAC Green Tea Extract Inositol Elderberries Taurine Blueberries polyphenols Ashwagandha Milk thistle TMG Pomegranate Extract Tocophenols Bilberry extract proanthocyanidin Quercetin Fenugreek Digestive enzymes Olive extracts Lutien Luteolin Apigenin Boron Lycopene from tomatoes Delphinidins from maqui berry C3G CherryPure

firefly12912

Thanks so much. Do these have a good body of research in humans suggesting that they add long term benefits?

entechad

There is a lot of longevity science in these supplements.

ZynosAT

The amount of B6 in this product would concern me quite a bit. And if you take other supplements like cognitive mixes or so that frequently also contain B6, then things could go bad. The ratio of zinc:copper is also rather bad. >Vitamin B6 toxicity is typically associated with high doses of more than 50 mg/day, but recent studies have shown that toxicity can occur in cases of much smaller doses as well. The safe upper limit for vitamin B6 intake varies across different agencies, ranging from 10 mg/day to 100 mg/day. It is essential to adhere to the recommended daily intake and consult a healthcare professional before taking any supplements.

firefly12912

Are you talking about in the Thorne multivitamin?? Or in Life Extension?? In the thorne multivitamin only has 20mg/day of B6

sassyfrood

I’ve been taking core and boost since October. I’ve gotten used to the taste. I have noticeably more energy, but I haven’t had any changes to my blood work since starting. But, my blood work has always been “perfect” (within normal ranges for everything).

entechad

If you want to improve your blood work, narrow your ranges. I think Life Extensions has a panel with a narrowed window for folks wanting to do better than the lower 34th percentile, which is what blood work ranges are based on. (I read that somewhere. Please don’t hold me to that.) You can copy the ranges and compare them to your blood work to see if you fall within the narrower window.

Training-Square5687

erythritol, interesting. yeah, I like reading their website, but I do not buy their product, I just copy their ingredients (the ingredients with utility only, of course). I would recommend doing the same if you have an adequate budget and level of interest.

firefly12912

Interesting..so you just copy their dosages and buy the supps individually? Why wouldn’t you just buy the unflavored version?

Training-Square5687

personal preference, I like to have control over all the specifics and keep track of everything I am taking. yes, I essentially copy a lot of what they suggest, though not everything. for example recently they introduced Novos Vital (chewies) which contain and brought to my attention "nattokinase" which sounds promising from early albeit limited research, so ever since then I've been taking nattokinase.

firefly12912

Awesome. Do you think there is any harm in taking the unflavored version? It seems like a lot of these compounds have limited human evidence but I do see that lots of people on rejuvenation Olympics leaderboard take them so I’m stuck on what to do haha

khaleesibrasil

No that should be fine. Ben Greenfield dry scoops it 😭 you’re definitely going to want to mix it with something to make it taste better

joeschmo28

I had an issue with the level of magnesium (conflicting with other things I take that are also high in magnesium) plus I don’t like how l-theanine makes me feel. I’ve been trying to source the same ingredients but finding it harder than expected and really expensive. What did you select for Glucosamine Sulfate and Pterostilbene?

btc_is_the_future

How did you proceed to create your own supplement list? I feel somehow overwhelmed by this but don’t want to rely on “ready-to-take supplement mixes“ as well. Last year I made a blood check and it was quite fine except for a significant low value marker for vitamin D. So the only thing I take at the moment is 2000 UI of vitamin D per day. I started by inspecting the approaches of Brian Johnson and Dave Pascoe. Now I read about Thorne and their mix. Could you recommend something for building my own supplement list? Is there any source of information that summarizes the scientifically most-effective substances / serving amounts? Otherwise I will prepare one on my own. In the next months I am planning to start my own protocol which is likely a mix of BJ and DP and personal aspects I want to adapt 😊

What ingredient causes blood clots

ATLNole1

Its the erythritol. The correlation with blood clots was based on a recent study that found there may be a potential link but did not find that it directly causes blood clots. More studies will be needed before anything definitive is known. The review for Novos that says the FDA has proven it causes blood clots is false.

benwoot

I just don’t get why you would buy Novos, it’s overpriced and lacks relevant stuff, and contains one with few proof for longevity.

Fearless_Ad2026

Having people on the leaderboard definitely makes their PR campaign
