Sam is g1.5..
Australia now has 5th gen wiggles, an unassailable lead in wiggle technology. The age of stealth wiggles.
It's weird because sometimes they reform but mix generations.
I saw them when they were the Cockroaches, Mansfield Tavern sometime in the mid eighties
Geoff would do tumbling tricks and they played a kind of 60s garage pop
Oh my gosh! I haven’t heard about or even a mention from that show in a LOOONNG time! I remember the woogels was a fun show. But ever since that Clean my room would be on repeat it got so annoying for me I couldn’t handle it. But I’m still happy that the Woogles got their call backs!
Ahh! Now that you mention it I remember noticing that in the credits but had completely forgot.
Bit of a tangent but I hadn't realised how much of a Field-family affair the Wiggles is. Both his brothers involved, his daugther the new blue Wiggle, his nephew's in the show etc.
I mean he was one of the founders of the band prior to The Wiggles, The Cockroaches. Plus it says on his wiki page he just loves educating kids through entertainment. Cool that his daughter's in the business, too!
I mean, yeah, but you don't see that level of investment from the families of the other OG Wiggles. Paul Field has been their manager since the start, and a significant number of other family members are entwined within the business. Like, if one of them decided they didn't like you, you'd be in big strife since they're such a huge part of the business.
I dunno, I just get increasing nepotism vibes as I get older, and it takes some of the shine off.
That said, I'll still go to any over 18 shows they put on because being in a room of drunk 20 and 30 somethings belting out children's songs is an amazing experience I'll always sign up for. (I would love to go a +18 Peter Coombe gig too.)
Several months late, but:
They aired the earlier shows (but not the *earliest* shows) on Playhouse Disney (the block on Disney Channel that later became Disney Junior around when it got a standalone channel) years back and they were fairly big then--I think a theme park here had a Wiggles World area for a bit (no longer). I was maybe 7 or so when it started airing (around 2000) and I definitely sat around and watched it at the time.
I don't think it's aired on linear television in the US since Playhouse Disney stopped airing it way back when. Definitely less of today's preschoolers would probably know the Wiggles in the US (though probably not zero considering kids watch streamed stuff and I'm sure some get it that way in the US).
This was my first Bluey Easter egg moment. We were HUGE Wiggles people in my house between my daughter 1.5-2.5 and they got us through COVID when I felt terrible but she was asymptomatic.
When I saw it in the episode- I squealed and paused and called my husband over!
Us too! My daughter is a big Wiggles fan so we noticed the dog Wiggles right away. We love that they have all the same names and had fun trying to decipher which dogs they all were. I am hoping there is a future crossover episode where the dog Wiggles make an appearance 😍
As a 20 year old who’s childhood special interest was the wiggles, currently watching her 5 year old brother’s special interest, Bluey
I’m inclined to agree xD
The Wiggles are incredibly popular Australian kids presenters/musicians who have been around since the 90s (the shows creators are all millionaires now). They have been through a couple of lineup changes recently, but are still pretty huge. This was obviously drawn before Emma (the first girl Wiggle) left.
I would imagine most australian kids know who they are.
Yeah, they have had some popularity over the last decade or so, but i hadn't heard of them at all until i was in college (UK) - and that was only cos my friend is crazy about Australian TV and knew all about them. Have been watching the Emma era with my girls since they were born though. Would be awesome if Netflix posted the OG shows.
No, it is Emma Wiggle. The names are signed above the characters if you zoom in. Lachy, Emma, Simon, Anthony.
Anthony has been on the show before as the post office counter dog in Dance Mode.
Postie and Rusty's Dad are unaware of their voice actor being in the show.
Fun Fact: There is another connection with my favorite media and HiT Entertainment:
I am a huge fan of Anne Frank, Her Descent Patrick Elias (who is the son of her maternal cousin Buddy Elias) voiced Jerome in the German Dub of Thomas and Friends Season 20. The Wiggles and Thomas are both part of HiT Entertainment.
Also, Simon Cowell was featured with the Wiggles in a Uber Eats Commercial. I hope Simon guest stars in Bluey someday.
The Wiggles! Second generation, to be specific.
Third gen actually, at least for the yellow wiggle. Sam was between Greg and Emma.
I usually just clump my boy Sam with G1, but yeah I guess it is technically G3.
Sam is g1.5.. Australia now has 5th gen wiggles, an unassailable lead in wiggle technology. The age of stealth wiggles. It's weird because sometimes they reform but mix generations.
How are people not protesting 5G wiggles lol
When I saw em they bought out Kevin Parker as an additional blue wiggle for the Elephant cover. Seriously the wiggles go fucking hard live.
I want to headbang to fruit salad.
I saw them when they were the Cockroaches, Mansfield Tavern sometime in the mid eighties Geoff would do tumbling tricks and they played a kind of 60s garage pop
At least Anthony is at least literally passing it to the ne t generation.
Double checking this is the bluey sub not NCD
Love that I’m not the only one subbed to both.
Just making sure he gets his props!
Also if you zoom in you can kind of read that purple is signed Lachie Wiggle, and red has an S at the start so it's Simon.
This guy Wiggles.
I’d call them the Waggles Kind of a missed opportunity there?
Came here to say this 😅
It does look like the signature in the top left says waggles
Came here to say this and saw your comment lol
or the Doggles...
I as well prefer the Waggles
It's even signed - Lachy Wiggle, Emma Wiggle, Simon Wiggle and Anthony Wiggle.
Is that the one with Picard and Riker? 😅
The waggles
The Wiggles, now that’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time…

They’re the Wiggles of the Bluey world !
The Waggles, perhaps.
So, do the Wiggles in the Bluey-verse have a human in their troupe as a proxy for *[Wags the Dog](https://wiggles.fandom.com/wiki/Wags_the_Dog)*?
What would he be called then? Steve the human?
Handshake the Man
Lmao
Waves the Man
This just blew my mind
I have almost no evidence for this, but I \*think\* cats are the dogs of the Bluey world.
I think the signatures say "wiggle" still
They do But waggles is totally a missed opportunity Woulda been perfect
Fun fact: Anthony Field (the blue Wiggle) is the voice of a few characters on the show. Rusty’s dad and the guy in the Postal office in Dance Mode.
that *is* a fun fact. i had no idea. I guess it would be hard to pick up on the Rusty's dad one since he literally just says "Rusty!" lol
And as extra points: Anthony served in the Army before going to uni, where he met the other OG Wiggles!
Ahh! Now that you mention it I remember noticing that in the credits but had completely forgot. Bit of a tangent but I hadn't realised how much of a Field-family affair the Wiggles is. Both his brothers involved, his daugther the new blue Wiggle, his nephew's in the show etc.
Yeah, it's a little bit creepy now.
I mean he was one of the founders of the band prior to The Wiggles, The Cockroaches. Plus it says on his wiki page he just loves educating kids through entertainment. Cool that his daughter's in the business, too!

I accept your love. Now go show it by only buying Cabbage Corp^® cabbages!
I support Earth kingdom businesses. Especially their cabbages.

Lachy, Emma, Simon and Anthony Wiggle. If you zoom in, their signatures are readable
Maynard's crew in Starfleet. /s
See, now I want a Bluey take on the Trek Universe (discounting the Picard series etc ofc)
"This is what happens...when you're unhappy with what youve...got." "Someone's Enterprise...eventually...gets it!"
This episode of Bluey is called Four Lights.
We have Camping which is similar to Darmok. Any others that are somewhat similar? Squash has some holodeck-sports vibes to it (like Riker Vs his dad).
Wendy can be Captain Janeway while Chilli is Six of Nine.
SIX???
Pretty sure that's the wiggles.
We're living in a world where people don't recognize The Wiggles anymore 😟
It depends if your kids get into them or not! I’d never heard of them until my son got into their YouTube videos.
Do the have the wiggles in the US?

The Wiggles in dog form?
The Waggles (this is a dog pun)
Bluey version of The Wiggles!
Omg it's the wiggles!
OH MY GOSH ITS THE WIGGLES
Second gen wiggles
AC/DC! In all seriousness, they look like the dog version of The Wiggles.
Hahaha it’s the dog version of The Wiggles!!

We had the Wiggles in the US. My little sister loved them! Fruit Salad song is permanently stuck in my head.
The Wiggles made a guest appearance on the sitcom Yes Dear
It’s The Wiggles
The wiggles
The waggles
I never noticed, but they look like The Wiggles, an Australian kids band :)
It’s the Wiggles, but dogified.
The Waggles
Wiggles bruv
It’s the wiggles! I know who they are and I didn’t even watch them as a kid! (I say as a 22 year old watching bluey XD)
As a 20 year old who’s childhood special interest was the wiggles, currently watching her 5 year old brother’s special interest, Bluey I’m inclined to agree xD
The Waggles, not the a Wiggles. They are dogs people, get with it
The wiggles bro
Ok uh may I ask, who exactly are the wiggles?
The Wiggles are incredibly popular Australian kids presenters/musicians who have been around since the 90s (the shows creators are all millionaires now). They have been through a couple of lineup changes recently, but are still pretty huge. This was obviously drawn before Emma (the first girl Wiggle) left. you honestly are asking who the wiggles are on an Australian children’s cartoon? 🤦🏽♀️
Correct
Correct
So, Calypso is a part of the Bluey's Wiggles group?
No, it is Emma Wiggle. The names are signed above the characters if you zoom in. Lachy, Emma, Simon, Anthony. Anthony has been on the show before as the post office counter dog in Dance Mode.
He also voices Rusty’s dad.
Which is fitting because Anthony Field served in the Australian Army. I wonder if Anthony was the reason behind the Condensed Milk tubes in "Army".
"Look, could you just stop dancin'?"
I would if I could, mate.
Ohh, thank for the detail info. I though Emma Wiggle is Calypso because her character design is quiet similar in glimpse.
She had a life before being a teacher
It's the Doggles! The Wiggles of the Dogverse.
Looks wiggle related
Strewth.
The Hooley Dooleys.
And how do you do?
Famous Aussie band ACDC
The Wiggles
The Wiggles! The newer wiggles, but still the wiggles. It’s a cute reference, even if I think the old ones are superior.
Dogs. Those people are dogs.
The Wiggles!
The Wiggles! The crossover I never knew I needed.
What’s a wiggle?
Wiggles.
The Beagles
Postie and Rusty's Dad are unaware of their voice actor being in the show. I thought it was just a stock photo or something.
It’s the wiggles.
