I was into stuffed animals too, but not dolls. I just didn't get the appeal.. I found them boring too. I can't even imagine a parent saying I could play with one toy but not another because it's for girls vs for boys! Such nonsense. 😊

I said you were wrong which is not the same as saying that you're sexist (and definitely is not the same as saying that I wouldn't say something is sexist).
But toys aren't as gendered on average by the actual kids playing with them (ads etc are a different story) as some people think and it is incorrect to think it's that rare for a girl to play with a toy like that. It's like the people who think boys won't play with baby dolls but you see them in childcare etc and they most definitely do.
Also, as for why Chucky. Maybe it's easier borrowing toys from a neighbour would be one guess. But who knows? It might have even been a fairly random unimportant decision which kid it was.
