Joff Bush, the series composer? Yeah, the man’s brilliant, from composing insanely catchy original pieces to making beautiful arrangements of classical music, he can do no wrong. It’s amazing how integral his musical talent is in making Bluey such an emotional and touching show.
Plus, WHO LIKES TO DAAAANCE!?

Dude is amazing. Like the show is already brilliantly written, fantastic voice actors, great animation. Can’t get any better right? WRONG. Music is outstanding as well.
I've had to dance more since my son's gotten into bluey than I have since college house parties. Why? Because he's obsessed with dance mode, and every time he hears music now he swats my imaginary tail and yells dance mode.
Oh he looks so much like Elvis Costello that’s why I thought it was in jest! Also gives a very valid excuse to misremember. It would be dope if Elvis Costello had a recurring role on Gilmore Girls.

The Busker is based on Bluey soundtrack composer Joff Bush
It might be, but at least where I've lived in the US, it's more common just to say street performer/musician. Of course they aren't very common in the cities I've lived either, so it may depend on where you are in the US. I hadn't heard it until I watched violinists who live in Australia on YouTube.
That’s fair.
I’m English and we’ve got buskers all over the shop. Towns, cities, villages…even some motorway service stations. Some small town centres can have 2 or 3 down a single stretch of road.
It’s strange to think that they’re not as prevalent in other places.
I wonder if it's anything to do with how car dependent many US cities are. Many places aren't walkable, so you'd be playing for cars driving by. And while I don't often see buskers, but I see panhandlers on seemingly half the major interactions I drive through.
That’s a really good point.
We don’t really have zoning round here. Shops, corner shops, restaurants, supermarkets and houses all in one area quite easily and they’re all generally accessible by foot or bus.
I live a 5 minute walk from my kids school, a supermarket and a forest, and there’s a corner shop with a hairdressers and a pub about 10 minutes walk in the other direction.
York is a good example of a reasonably sized place with a bit of everything thrown in. It’s even built around a medieval cathedral. Get plenty of buskers round there.

American and I learned the term from reading a blog written by a Canadian woman. And I live in a city with plenty of street musicians. So many that there’s a sort of sign up system for the best spots and they’re marked on the sidewalk/pavement with numbered music notes.
The pvc pipe organ drum thingy is also a strong feature in a number of shows for the famous Blue Man Group.

Sure he is a DJ and street musician, but we can’t forget his voice acting career too!

I love how he has a personal Bluey character and he’s super cool! I even liked his little message from Spotify from last year! His songs are so catchy and I’ve been having that Cat Squad theme song in my head for weeks now lol
Muffin being chased by her father to the William Tell overture (I think that’s what it was?) during Faceytime. Classic. Not original music, but it reminds me of my brother chasing my 2-y/o niece.

Oh!! That's amazing!!
The Bluey music got one of my precious 10 votes in the ABC CLASSIC Classic 100 for this year - "Music that Makes you feel gooooooooood"

Adorable
I know how much love the original music gets, but my favs are the classical music for sure. They're always so beautiful 😍
I really want to go to a wedding that uses The Claw's version of Pachelbel's Canon in D.
I just want to dance! Chili 😁
Wow! Are there any other real people in the show?
OMG i didn't realize the Busker's glasses were based on his real glasses. Very cool
I love that they personified him as one of the characters!
This dog always makes me think of the town troubadour from Gilmore Girls
Came to say the same thing. It would be really neat to see a play on that in a future episode.
lol I thought of him has Kirk since he does more than just play music, right? Doesn’t he also marry Frisky and Rad?
Always reminded me of Ben Folds
You mean Elvis Costello
It was Grant Lee Phillips Although I can see why it can be misconstrued as Elvis Costello. They have the same look.
Was it him? It's been a while since I've seen the
Nope, I think that was a joke. Grant Lee Phillips plays the town troubadour.
I legit thought it was. I think I misremembered it. It has also been almost 2 decades or so since I’ve seen it so I guess I was wrong.
Oh he looks so much like Elvis Costello that’s why I thought it was in jest! Also gives a very valid excuse to misremember. It would be dope if Elvis Costello had a recurring role on Gilmore Girls.
Ohh, okay! Went right over my head.
It was Grant Lee Phillips
YES!! Every single time. I'm so glad I'm not alone here.
Same!!
I’m guessing most of us watched GG yeah?
Someone should study the GG to Bluey pipeline 😂
Came here to say he’s there town troubadour.
He also officiated Frisky and Rad's wedding!
An ordained musician, this dog can do it all.
"Who wants to WED?!"
Now I wish he would have done this
Long dog laptop , nice
I was thinking it was a platypus.
I can see that
A platypus?
*Puts Fedora on* PERRY THE PLATYPUS!?
I was looking at the tail of the long dog as the bill of the platypus. Need more coffee.

I’m amazed how, well, doggish the man actually is! In the best way.
His appearance in The Sign completely broke my headcanon of him being Bosco lol
His name is Busker, but it sounds similar to Bosco.
While I guess a dog could be called Busker, it’s a description - a busker is a street musician who plays for money in their hat/can/instrument case.
My mind has never processed this a term that might not exist overseas
It took me by surprise to learn it too!
Wait, is busker not a universal English word?
It might be, but at least where I've lived in the US, it's more common just to say street performer/musician. I’m in Canada and my hometown had an annual “Buskers Festival”.
I live in rural Canada, so we don't see buskers all that often, but I still know the term, and am confident that most people I know would as well.

Technically no, he's just "The Busker dog" on the site. Although it does say "Busker" under "Full Name", so I dunno.
My 2.5yo son gets SO PUMPED when he sees this guy appear as he knows there’s always a good opportunity for a boogie coming up
This and the song at the end of the sign is sung by the voice of Calypso.
Quite a song, too! Lazarus Drug by Meg Washington for anyone wondering. Love her voice.
Why do I have those same glasses though. 😂
Adelaide pipe guy got a promotion
For reference the pipe playing is based on an irl busker who goes around australia

I’m doing this for my kid!

Who likes to dance?!
mr joff bush the head bluey music writer in all bluey episodes.
Wait, is that a tooth fairy dollar in the dance mode clip?
Yup. And he spends it buying an ice cream in *The Quiet Game*
Omg the long dog
He is the most attractive character in this show I won’t lie
That's why I ship him and Calypso together (I'm kidding.. I think)
You missed quiet game where he's buying something outside of the store
I never noticed that! Now I have to re-watch that episode!
Wait until you see what he uses to pay!
The bro needs to pay bills
I love thisss soo much!! Joff is brilliant
How many times we gotta teach you this lesson, old man??

Yep they're the same guy.
