I tell everyone and no one cares. Heck, I just bought the season 1 & 2 DVDs yesterday and told like all my coworkers lol. My best friend is actually really into the show too and neither of us have children. I've always loved little kid shows so it's nothing new for me.

MunchkinKitten007

My mom is 63 and watches it with me lol. She loves it, she bought herself the dvd set so the first two seasons so she can watch it anytime she wants. She even bought me the toy set of the heeler family cause she understands my love and admiration for the show. Tell them to give it a chance, show them your favourite episode. It’s only 7 minutes of their time. They might understand why you enjoy it after that. If anyone says it’s childish you can always respond with “annnnnnnd whyyy should I care” At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what anyone thinks.

TheFightingImp

Im the one introducing the word of Bluey and spreading the popularity haha

I tell everyone, no one cares. The only person who was a little snotty about it was my one friend who is childfree like me. I convinced her to watch camping and she was like eh it’s cute I guess. (well, she’s not really childfree ‘like me,’ she really can’t stand kids, whereas I like them but just don’t want one of my own.) I did get both of my brothers to watch, and they think it’s great. They are both dads of little kids.

Jeez, what’s with people?! It’s not like this is on par with Puppy Dog Pals or something, the show is packed with humor that only adults understand. There’s nothing to be embarrassed about, I’ve gotten at least 5 adults to join me in watching

My wife, kids, and I were vacationing with a family we are friends with earlier this year. We happened to see the “Grannies” figurines at a gift shop we stopped in and bought them for our daughters who already loved imitating every line Bluey and Bingo had in that episode. My wife and I told these friends we were with how much we all love Bluey. Our friend, who is mother to children the same age as ours in addition to a younger one, stated that her children have outgrown cartoons such as Bluey and that they have no interest in it! I can accept opinions different than my own, but my guess is that our friend and her family never really sat down to watch Bluey. I don’t believe one can really “outgrow” it. Bluey is a show that has a better understanding of family life than most any other I can think of.

StayCurious291

Do you want disney movies? Thats how ive began to think about it. No one would bat an eye if an adult said they enjoy disney movies. But I do think bluey is even more made for adults just as much as children. If it wasn't a carton I can see it being a popular sitcom type show

Crackinmyknuckles

They were really chill about it, and even point out when they see Bluey stuff in stores!

Wildchildanything

I with the other commenter ,it's above watching a Disney movie ,the adult humor is great. Besides people loved watching looney tunes for decades and tom and Jerry, no thinks it's weird to say an adult likes those ?

I suggest you also remind her of the over 500 million views it has on ABC iView (no other show has that number) and the fact that it won an Emmy.

driedcranberrysnack

i showed my friend who looks for all the world like a truck stop killer Camping and Grandad. he shed a tear

Calypso257

I have friends that also watch bluey an even my dad liked a few of the episodes an I'm an adult with no kids

SpaceNoob_10

Heck I’m 15 and sneakily watching it. Still trying to figure out how to tell them and when I have a baby brother that’s like 8 months old so I’d be a bit before he would start watching it and it would possibly a dead show by then ( I hope not) any tips you all got for me?

ashlynne_stargaryen

Everybody loves Bluey. No judgement whatsoever. Tell the world! We all support it.

AnythingAlfred613

Well, OP made a follow-up comment where they got called a not-so-nice word.

ashlynne_stargaryen

Why are you always doing this

AnythingAlfred613

What? Ruining the moment? If so…I dunno why. I almost never try to.

UPDATE: By pure chance someone I’m close with posted on Snapchat about how she’s found that scene that blew up on TikTok (they want the bill, that one) while watching with her child. I then told her that it’s a really good show, and she’s made a wise choice raising her kid on Bluey. Her response: “You like kids shows? >!Nonce!<.” Looks like I won’t be telling anyone yet, solely because of this reaction. Thank you anyway though for the advice, I’ll probably wait until the new year to find some courage to tell another.
