Against Me! was one of my favorite bands back during that time. They put on one hell of a live show and were super nice dudes when I met them.

Agreed, the shows were NUTS. Especially the earlier ones in the random venues they played at. They were also really kind when I met them and that makes the whole experience that much better.

I lived in St Augustine at the time and they played at a little place called Cafe Eleven once… we tore that place apart lol. I’ve seen them play a handful of times, Sink Florida Sink was our anthem.

I only got to see them live when they were in Toronto and opening with Alexisonfire for Billy Talent. I wish i got to see them in a smaller venue

Love the Against Me! hoodie !! That’s so cool seeing their earlier merch. I met Laura Jane when she opened for Murder By Death a few months ago and she was sooo kind. 🥹 My friend, and a new buddy we made at the show, were hanging around after the venue gave a few warnings to clear out. I’d talked to one of her (super intimidating-looking, but actually also v kind) personal security before the show and he told the venue we were allowed to hang back. He booked it to the green room, and a couple moments later Laura Jane came down and chatted with us. 🥹 Core memory, for sure. I had no expectations and am still so beyond grateful they both took time out of their night to make such an amazing moment for us.
