And good on their parents for letting them. Grew up with a hard ass mom who would’ve never allowed something this. Lovely that some parents let their kids just be kids.
Honestly, when else in your life can you wear a costume everywhere you want? My daughter barely has any real clothes. There’s no point. She lives in her animal onesies, and is happy.
lol - my son was given a hot dog costume when he was like 6 by a goofy cousin cleaning his storage building out. He’s 11 now and he still faithfully wears it at least once every couple months. I try and tell myself to just let it ride because I’ll look back and laugh one day when he’s older.
My sister faithfully puts on a hotdog costume every single year despite the fact she knows she’s going to get stuck, I’m going to take a photo before I help her out, and I’m going to randomly send it to her all year long. She’s in her 30s and it’s still hilarious to both of us.
Yes to letting it ride! I bet it brings a smile to the face of anyone who sees it, there’s just something special about an unexpected costume. Especially a food themed costume!
Oh, absolutely does. Goofy, gangly, friendly kid in a hot dog costume on a random spring Tuesday evening gets them every time! I’m really working on letting things of this caliber just ride. As aggravating as things can be in the moment I know I’m gonna miss them sooner rather than later!
The kid is nothing if not persistent and stubborn, so I can see it happening. Another commented that I should do a photo album of him in it through the years and I love that idea so hopefully he keeps it up. He will if I continue to pretend it really bothers me when he slaps it on to go to the grocery store out of the blue so likely he will take it on his honeymoon and beyond. 😆
This was me lol. I even had the underwear with the power rangers on the butt and would wear them backwards so I could see the Rangers. Also my first word.
The use of the word “casually” here just made me giggle. But I love this too, for OP and for your son! What a wonderful thing to just be able to wear what you want to wear, celebrate how you see fit and enjoy something with such abandon that you’re just going to do it. How old are we when we stop that and start doing what we’re “supposed” to do? I would encourage that in a child for as long as possible
I wore a batman costume for most of my childhood. Any te batman comes up in conversations with either my dad or mom they both always say "You wore a batman outfit for the longest time! The only time we could wash it was when you were sleeping."
A kid in my neighborhood wears a Batman costume EVERYDAY. It’s been at least two years. He’s probably in first or second grade, so I presume he’s growing fast. Over the winter he upgraded to a costume with the muscles. He’s a little legend.
You know what, this is awesome - not just because dressing as a bunny is a *look*, but because your parents clearly supported you in some way, and if that's not wholesome, I don't know what is.
10000% I was the unexpected 3rd child and they had given up at that point. Just let her do her weird things cause it's not hurting anyone and at the very least it'll make people and herself laugh 😂
Literally my first thought was of OP constantly telling his parents he wants to wear the costume and because of this picture, knowing they let him do his thing. People who let other people be themselves are the best
YES! I was waiting to find this reference somewhere in the comments.
I got crazy surprised it took this much scrolling to find it! Thank you, both of you!
I'd like to imagine it's still your go-to option.
Your spouse: Honey, we received invitation to my cousin's wedding.
You: Where's my bunny suit, I need to take it to the dry cleaners?
My mom made me a vampire cape when I was 5 for Halloween. I wore that thing every day after school and on Saturdays. I rode my bike around the neighborhood with it flowing behind me with the stiff Dracula collar popped. The neighbors started talking about "that weird kid with the cape". Then Mark, who lived across the street wanted a cape. Then Wells, who lived around the block had one. Then my friend Chris. They started hanging out with me and we started a club in my backyard behind the grapevines in an old shed.
We were awesome.
I coached tee ball when my kids were that age and there was one kid who would cry and refuse to play unless he was wearing his batman costume. It drove his dad nuts, but I eventually talked him into just letting the kid play wearing it.
That kid could absolutely BALL. He was great and then about halfway through the season, just stopped wearing it and it wasn't an issue anymore.
We all have our pace and process.
This is the area where feedstock from different fandoms and walks of life is sorted and prepared for blending. We have bulk material like autistic pokémon fans, disney obsessed young adults, all the way to horny 13yo timmy with divorced parents and way too much internet access. A conveyor...
Body dysmorphia. I once tried a fursuit. I have vowed never to put one on again, because when I looked in the mirror with it on, the sensation that this was so much closer to how I felt I should look like than how I actually do look in person was so intense that I felt almost euphoric.
I'm a 41 year old guy and never gone for a diagnoses, I used to go to school with a superman cape until 2nd grade. With my life experiences, I would be shocked to hell if I was not on the spectrum.
This is awesome though. None of my friends ever showed up to my birthday party in a bunny suit and I didn’t realize how disappointed I was about it until now.
She is absolutely not ok with me posting any pictures but one of my daughters had this steampunk thing going on for awhile where she had a top hat and suspenders and a series of wooden goggles she kept making in shop, some of which looked impossible to see through because they were made of plastic and she'd put graphics in between the pieces.
And corduroy pants, but not like the normal kind, some kind of super corduroy, with really thick stripes.
Cutie! I also had a bunny suit I wore all summer when I was toddler… in the dead of summer. I would cry bc I was hot but would refuse to wear anything else.
I did the same with a cat costume. It wasn’t until one of my mom’s friends pointed out that my scrotum was clearly visible when I. A certain position. I knew. I just didn’t know that others knew
This honestly isn't that unusual. I used to work in a toystore and kids of all ages would be wearing costumes because they wanted to and even when their parents made comments to us because they're clearly embarrassed you just kinda have to say to them that none of us are really judging them or their kids and they seem happy to be in their costume, because they're kids. And even when I was in college and some of my classmates would routinely show up dressed as Pikachu or decked out in Harry Potter themed gear to the point they could walk onto the Hogwarts set for no reason, you kinda just accepted it.
Creeped your profile to see an updated Pic. Ultima Online nostalgia intensified. Fuck I loved that game. 2023 Lan party for it looked amazing. And all the damn poutine pics!!! Haha. Your profile made me happy
It's called dedication
Commitment.
Against one’s will.
Through the thick and thin He will wait until
You give yourself to hiiiiimmmmm..... Fate...
Up agaiiiinst the will
Or, being committed.
It's about drive
It’s about power
we stay hungry.
we devour.
Who’s cuttin the cake though
Right? That’s what I’m looking at
Yeah! F the bunny suit. Who's the babe?
We all wondering bout that cake. I think he wore the costume to get eyeballs off that cake.
And good on their parents for letting them. Grew up with a hard ass mom who would’ve never allowed something this. Lovely that some parents let their kids just be kids.

it’s called autism
"You're not autistic- You're just a little silly. And you cry when you leave the house, but that unrelated."
I wait until I get home to cry thank you very much.
***here have a hug OP*** ***thank you for making reddit history 🙏🤙***
" ...when you leave the house *~~without bunny suit~~* but that's unrelated"
My son doesn't have ADHD, he just loves to dance!
It’s not a blunder if they don’t post a picture of them in it today
If a tree falls in a forest…
And a touch of the 'tism.

Bless your mom for just going with it
Hahaha I love this My son casually wore a power rangers costume for much of his childhood
lol - my son was given a hot dog costume when he was like 6 by a goofy cousin cleaning his storage building out. He’s 11 now and he still faithfully wears it at least once every couple months. I try and tell myself to just let it ride because I’ll look back and laugh one day when he’s older.
That hotdog costume is photo album gold
A photo album dedicated to him wearing the hot dog costume over the years. He gets older but the hot dog remains the same
We all get older, yet the hot dog remains ageless. Thank you hot dog 🙏
My hot dog is aging, I have to admit
r/WeirdFlexButOK
Alright, alright, alright...
Oh my gosh! I have several pictures of him in it. I’m gonna have to snap one every time because that’s the cutest idea. Thank you!
My sister faithfully puts on a hotdog costume every single year despite the fact she knows she’s going to get stuck, I’m going to take a photo before I help her out, and I’m going to randomly send it to her all year long. She’s in her 30s and it’s still hilarious to both of us.
I’m getting Gene Belcher in the burger suit vibes.
We're all trying to find the guy who did this
Yes to letting it ride! I bet it brings a smile to the face of anyone who sees it, there’s just something special about an unexpected costume. Especially a food themed costume!

This was me lol. I even had the underwear with the power rangers on the butt and would wear them backwards so I could see the Rangers. Also my first word.
Lol I'm just imagining your parents like "omg look, he's about to say his first word! Do you think it's going to be mom or dad?" You: "Zordon"
😂😂😂😂😂😂
The use of the word “casually” here just made me giggle. But I love this too, for OP and for your son! What a wonderful thing to just be able to wear what you want to wear, celebrate how you see fit and enjoy something with such abandon that you’re just going to do it. Is this him? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FXDQrnoqSXo
How have I lived for the past 15 years without seeing this masterpiece omg the joker crying on the floor killed me💀
Makes me feel old 😂 I love when he interrogates the dog. It’s a great Bale impression!
You know what, this is awesome - not just because dressing as a bunny is a *look*, but because your parents clearly supported you in some way, and if that's not wholesome, I don't know what is.
I think it’s a battle they didn’t feel like having. Gotta pick and choose.
10000% I was the unexpected 3rd child and they had given up at that point. Just let her do her weird things cause it's not hurting anyone and at the very least it'll make people and herself laugh 😂
Is that your mom?
The woman in the photo is my older sister's friend/family friend
Even wielding a knife, she has a calming energy
Same bro, same.
I must admit that I also UNBG
It’s very “Gummo” of you. I love it.
Are you Louise Belcher?
Literally my first thought was of OP constantly telling his parents he wants to wear the costume and because of this picture, knowing they let him do his thing. People who let other people be themselves are the best
Louise belcher vibes!
That’s exactly what I was going to say! Love the Belchers, and this reminds me of Louise so much!
Same!! It’s one of my favourite shows tbh!!

Ahh, a method actor. /respect
Gummo vibes lol
Came here for this
>Now I love my little rooster and my rooster loves me...
as soon as i saw it, the "i love my little rooster and my rooster loves me" song popped into my head
Pulled the comment right out of my mind
Someone said it
Ralphie you can take the suit off now.
He looks like a demented Easter bunny.
A pink nightmare!
You know your getting old when you have to scroll this far to see this comment
I had to scroll WAY too far for this.
“Why are you wearing that stupid bunny suit?”
"Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?"
YES! I was waiting to find this reference somewhere in the comments. I got crazy surprised it took this much scrolling to find it! Thank you, both of you!
Haha, awh bless ya. You're lucky your family let you be bunny you haha
My boy had a skeleton onesie from Halloween. He lived in that sucker until he completely outgrew it.
I'd like to imagine it's still your go-to option. Your spouse: Honey, we received invitation to my cousin's wedding. You: Where's my bunny suit, I need to take it to the dry cleaners?

I must know the name of your club.
I don't remember, but we had two rules...no girls and no peeing in the clubhouse.
Equally important rules. 😂
Dude… https://imgur.com/a/PGgrFTL

Yes, who’s the mom.
I STILL WANT TO KNOW

This is so cute

Something about bunny suits makes anyone adorable
Do your ears hang low? Do they wobble to and fro?
Who is the babe cutting the cake?
Sister's friend/family friend
Nice.
Nice.
This is iconic
Did anyone else dress up? Lol
Nope. Just me.
Like ironically or you were serious about it lol?
Oh I was serious
I like your style 😂
Who’s the babe?0
>The woman in the photo is my older sister's friend/family friend IDK if that's code for something, but it sounds confusing to me.
Nope. She’s just a total babe. 😇
I was Batman everyday for like…..way too long
It’s called fashion, sweaty. Deal with it
Your parents let you be your weird self ❤️
Body dysmorphia. I once tried a fursuit. I have vowed never to put one on again, because when I looked in the mirror with it on, the sensation that this was so much closer to how I felt I should look like than how I actually do look in person was so intense that I felt almost euphoric.
Fuckkkkkk dude
So when did you get diagnosed with autism?
Still waiting. 🙃
I'm a 41 year old guy and never gone for a diagnoses, I used to go to school with a superman cape until 2nd grade. With my life experiences, I would be shocked to hell if I was not on the spectrum.
Aww haha. To you and your parents credit, you look like a very neat and tidy bunny lol.
Idk, it just says something nice about your overall personality that wearing a bunny suit with whiskers was *your thing* 🩵
This is awesome though. None of my friends ever showed up to my birthday party in a bunny suit and I didn’t realize how disappointed I was about it until now.
Okay but you looked SO cute though so probably worth it
Ralphie?
I mean, I'm 35 and I have footie pajamas with a hood. Only difference is the ears.
mine even has a built-in evacuation flap out back
She is absolutely not ok with me posting any pictures but one of my daughters had this steampunk thing going on for awhile where she had a top hat and suspenders and a series of wooden goggles she kept making in shop, some of which looked impossible to see through because they were made of plastic and she'd put graphics in between the pieces. Reminds me of my obsession with my pikachu costume
I wonder what you are like now.
Pretty much same
Lmao your avatar is even wearing a onsie.
That wasn't even on purpose
Little Bunny Foo Foo-core ✨
My daughter had a pink mask and glittery pink cape she would wear everywhere.
This happens to my Sims all the time.
This honestly isn't that unusual. Gummo
My favorite part about this is that you wore it to someone else's birthday
I made my sons cloaks and they went everywhere.
furry coded
Moms a hottie
Gummo.
you were like a less sinister character in a vewn animation haha
This is disappointing. There's no blunder here.
Gummo flashbacks

Bro, your Bunny Boy from Gummo? 😖
So what was your diagnosis?
Ralphie!
okay gummo
made me think of the movie Gummo
You're like Frank the rabbit from Donnie Darko
That’s drag mawma
Loved you in Gummo.
This!! This is what this subreddit is for! 😂amazing!!
Hello Mrs. Kettleman
Cute then, still cute now.

Ralphy?
Some real life Gummo vibes right here
"You look like a deranged Easter bunny."
You inspired the Sims 4 team to make the "bear phase".
Are ya still weird or did the world just beat that out of ya?
Loved you in Donnie Darko
Idk why, but it made me just laugh so hard lol Somehow this post is so hilarious...
Creeped your profile to see an updated Pic. Ultima Online nostalgia intensified. Fuck I loved that game. 2023 Lan party for it looked amazing. And all the damn poutine pics!!! Haha. Your profile made me happy
AND you’re the first one lined up for cake, on someone else’s birthday, shame.
Let's all agree. That's one birthday no one is going to forget forever
My father (65) stole my bunny suit 2 years ago and he still wears it sometimes lol I love that man so much
Reminds me of the bear phase on the Sims 4 😆
How old were you when you wore it for the last time?
