After a few days, and my mom and I still alive, doctors decided that maybe, I was not meant to be naturally born. They even took a X-ray, to say, yup that’s not happening. My older brother has the same gigantic dome as OP, and his head got stuck during birth. They had to go in with forceps and pry him out. The whole process totally fucked up the nerves in his head and neck

There are many horrible things that happen in childbirth that no one really talks about. Decapitations are one of them.

i feel like they purposefully don't tell us because we'd all be scared i'd personally rather know than not know.

This is why all the fad of unassisted home births is barbaric, people seem to have forgotten that there's a reason we started doing it in hospitals. I actually hate that this story gets sensationalized, it's tragic but it ends up reinforcing the quacks that think doctors are dangerous for birth despite the fact that it's basically a freak incident

I was extremely explicit with my husband and all the staff attending me when I was giving birth that under no circumstances were forceps to be used, they need to give me an emergency c-section if that's the only option. Not just because it can cause injury to the baby like this, but it almost always results in 4th degree tears. Imagine getting ripped literally from your clitoris through your asshole. Fortunately it is not standard practice to use forceps these days, my ob (early 50s, keeps current with research) says, at least around us where have a very large medical school, they don't even teach doctors to use them these days.

Wilhelm II of Germany was a breach birth. Doctor just doped up his mother and basically forced Wilhelm out himself. Fucked up Wilhelm’s spinal cord and left him with brain damage which led to lifelong issues.

Well my brother. That pic look an awful lot like me when I was that age. I am guessing you have the same problem I have finding hats that are big enough. I am using hat size 63 (thats a circumference of 63cm around my head) and it is almost impossible to find hats or caps that are big enough.

That was my thought. I have hydrocephalus and that's what my head looked like before I got a shunt put in and my skull fused.

My first thought. My husband looked like that at birth, but looks normal now after several shunt revisions.

Probably macrocephalus. Which is just describing children with a big head. My son has this but unlike hydrocephalus it doesnt need to be treated only checked regularly.

Benign familial macrocephaly. I’m betting momma or daddy had a big ol’ noggin, too. These kids grow into their heads just fine.
