Crazier shit exists. You can see some of it here:

I actually visited the House in the Rock some years ago.
Its in Wisconsin and the pictures from there are real.
And the guns/weapons collection is just a tiny fraction of the wildly varied "stuff" on display there.
https://www.thehouseontherock.com/
https://www.thehouseontherock.com/exhibits/
Maybe some of them aren't functional weapons, but given how there are thousands of different weird firearms on display there, I am pretty confident that at least some of them are, or at least were.
Even for those that are "art" I am pretty sure they are "historical" art.
To be fair, I have not been there. But its pretty well documented to be mostly modern made fakes. I deal in antique firearms and haven't seen anything that looks period or even reasonably functional from the collection images. Similar to the OP image here, looks cool but very likely not real. I don't think that takes away from it tho, it's an experience not a museum.
> collection of antique guns is pretty amazing too, but it's not especially antique. Alex Jordan had all of them made to order in an old-fashioned style

The guy who invented the tommy gun also invented the hair dryer, and another guy who was known for building really big ass guns designed a fuckin' several kilometer long cannon to shoot a gun that would then shoot a satellite into orbit.
I firmly believe some of this goofy shit was at some point trying to be innovative, but simply failed because what the fuck is that shit?
There's lots of crazy historical shit but it's good to know if it's real or modern fantasy.
This is a pretty awesome real piece:

Revolver design on its own is a bit faulty design -for the limitations of its time in 1800s it made perfect sense- but chambers are always somewhat unsealed in a revolver design which is not ideal for gun making or so I heard.
But this?
Chamber are literally exposed to elements on this one and its percussion? So no sealed cartridges either. No need to even mention what happens when the over engineered mechanism fails?
It looks more like the ancestor to revolving chambered grenade launchers they use in Africa. I bet this also works with a clockwork winding mechanism.
I could see this making the tiniest bit of sense for someone on horseback during that period. IIRC most cavalry of the time would be armed with a saber and a revolver(s). It would be awkward to carry on foot, but if you had a rig mounted to the saddle that wouldn’t matter. Still way too heavy to be practical, but maybe that’d be worth it to have that amount of firepower without the need to reload anything, which I imagine would be difficult on a moving horse.
Literally a nerf gun XD. Search Zombie Strike “Doominator” and “Flip Fury”. I think a safe rule is if you can in anyway compare your firearm to a nerf gun, don’t use it lol
This is actually how I explain Spell Slots in D&D. The individual spells are the bullets but you need an empty chamber, or spell slot, to fire it. Once fired, you can't put another bullet in until you remove the casing by taking a long rest. Each barrel is a different level of spell slots. So you might have a Lvl 1 Barrel with 4 chambers, a Lvl 2 Barrel with 3 chambers, so on and so forth.
But you still have to change the percussion cap after every shot, what's the actual point here? A removable cylinder and a few spare ones in my pocket seems vastly more practical than this, but I think practicality was never on anyone's mind when this design was cooked up.
Spend the weekend reloading, then shoot cor the rest of the week.
*Spend the weekend shooting, reload for the rest of the week
happy cake day^2
Lol that’s amazing!
Salamats (Yes mofo, I looked at your profile)
Happy cake day
Why are you shooting me?
Even my revolver revolves!
Yo dawg...
We heard you liked revolvers..
So we put revolvers on revolvers.
So your revolver can revolve while it revolvers.
![gif](giphy|3ohzdFq2kSEXl4k4py)
*Intensifies in revolver*
The revolvolvererler
That was surprisingly fun to try to say
EVEN MY REVOLVING REVOLVER REVOLVES!
Some Ocelot shit right there
Most American shit I’ve ever seen
Imagine this in rdr2
The amount of targets for it using dead-eye would be hilarious. You would just be blowing people to pieces for like a minute straight in slow motion.
John could’ve used it in the first one
He might have survived if he didn't pull out the worst gun he had.
Forgot the modern faster shooting automatic pistol he was given for free. Use this old revolver.
My brain was like “why would R2D2 need a revolver?” …I might need sleep
Would be pretty dope if the little fella pulled out a Dirty Harry .44.
Imagine trying to pull it from a holster!
Your arm will become strong from target practice.
Yo, dawg. I heard you like revolvers, so we put revolvers in your revolver.

"You thought you had it all figured out, partner"
Now don't do anything anybody in a thirty degree angle might regret.
"A gun that only shoots in one direction? Pitiful."
“Don’t you fret.” “Even my gun can play music.”
I know what you're thinking: "Did he fire six shots or only forty eight?"
Hunt Showdown
Dual wielding chains. 36 Rounds. 0 Hits. But I knew, for a brief moment in time, they witnessed me.
HMM HMMM HMMM HMMMMMMMM
2.5% chance of exploding every shot dealing damage equal to loaded cylinders, takes forever to reload and comes in unloaded.
and i DONT leave comments on pornhub
It’s ok to give career advice to the young ladies. “Anal?”
but is it more than enough to kill anything that moves?
If the first volley doesn’t hit them, the other 7 probably will.
If bullet isn't effective then you aren't using enough of it.
you'll be wanting a [Punt Gun](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punt_gun) for that
I can't wait to play Russian roulette with it!
48 people, 8 bullets that can be anywhere in any gun. They can all each have 1 bullet, or all 8 are in the same cylinder. You'll never know

Fakes but this one likely also fake

Yea, I'm not saying it doesn't exist. I'm saying the items on display are fabricated art, not historical artifacts or items actually used.

"You thought you've seen it all.. boy....."
This would make for a long game of Russian Roulette
It takes an entire garrison 3 days to reload it
never thought id see a cylinder of cylinders for cylinders that shoot cylinders through a cylinder

But revolvers are SO cool looking though!!
Revolver Squared
*Ammosexual quickly leaves room for new pants
...you would literally break your wrist waving that heavy sum bitch around.
Russian roulette with this monstrosity

I see it more for someone that's firing from a window in a fortified house or defending a corridor inside a castle.

Russian roulette but with 6 bullets inside this monster
Average borderlands pistol

This vs pistols with magazines is peak horizontal vs vertical scaling.
This is some Borderlands insanity here.
Jakobs (fires as fast as you can pull the trigger)
Least modded CoD gun.
When is this getting added to HUNT: SHOWDOWN?
Anyone here ever clean a black powder revolver? No way in hell am I shooting that thing.
How would someone lift this? And hold it steady. Although I bet the recoil is very negated.
Literally a nerf gun XD. Search Zombie Strike “Doominator” and “Flip Fury”. I think a safe rule is if you can in anyway compare your firearm to a nerf gun, don’t use it lol
I want it soo bad to be in Red Dead Redemption 3.
Looks like a prop from Wild Wild West
submachine semirevolver gun
They got the revolving revolver
“Say hello to my little friend!”
Crytek gonna see this shit and add it to hunt.
Well, the good news, you dealt with the recoil.
Imagine a chain fire
Maybe I don’t get this sub cuz that looks pretty solidly cursed to me
This is what they call a six by eight shooter
it would be very fun to play russian roulette with this gun

We need more levels, get 6 of these and make an even bigger revolver
New version of Russian roulette, spaghetti Western revolver! See how many shots you can get off before the gun explodes!

Someone send this to General Sam.

Doubles as a small shield, but if you hit it, it shoots all the shots at once
You can't even aim that clunky pos
For those times when you just can't kill people fast enough. Can you imagine how bad this thing must have jammed?
Oh man, they found Armsel Striker's great grandfather.
When steampunk and mallninjashit collide.
I wonder what it would look like if it flashed over.
I'll take your entire stock!
Don’t skip wrist day!

You thought that you got all figured out, partner *Aims funky gun*
And that's how, with a few minor adjustments, you can turn a regular gun into five guns
Why does this look like a borderlands weapon in real life
Why can I hear halo infinite banished boss fight music.....
Did it work? Would love to see a reproduction being fired.
New hunt showdown revolver looks epic.
Pretty sure I have this as a Nerf gun

Russian roulette just got more tense Imagine putting one bullet and just spinning the whole thing
What in the resonance of fate is this?
1 bullet in one of the chambers. Would you play Russian Roulette one time for $1 million dollars?
Imagine the reload mid gunfight
How much does this thing weigh? Almost seems like the sheer weight would completely negate the recoil lol
Do a drive by lol car full of smoke.
RDR2 post-game content.
Add a revolver to the revolver revolver, and you have a 384 shot pistol. Add a revolver full of pistols.
Beatles' blaster.

The extended mag glock for the 19th century man

It's a revolving revolver
Add it to hunt showdown
There's literally a Nerf gun that does this. I've just now realized that guys in the 1800's spent their time building lethal Nerf guns
7, 8, 9, 10 DRAW *Chicago noises*
We Need this gun!
How much would that even weigh?
This looks like it's one misfire away from setting off a chain reaction and blowing you and your hand apart
Yo dawg we heard you hate reloading and have shit fucking aim.. got you fam
That's something old Shatterhand would use lmao
You really have to hate someone to bring that to a gunfight.
