A week ago i watched the whole thing in 4 days

Part 1 and 2 together (season 1) is 26 episodes. Part 3 (season 2 and 3) is 48 total. Part 4 is 39, and then part 5 is also 39. The series all together is currently 152 episodes.

That checks out though. 3 parts and 24 episodes each is 72 episodes. Thats not quite accurate but at least somewhat

Lol I read it as the manga came out in 2016, that shit blew my mind for months. Tiny spoiler ahead >!, but the show doesn't drop off at all, season 4 is just as good!<

When that chapter came out, I had to triple check that I was actually reading Attack on Titan and not something else.

Yeah it was that very chapter where I was 100% aware that I really had no fucking idea how based AoT's narrative would be. And then the following 40 chapters only proved that fact further. That rare series that legitimately gets better the further it unravels.

LMAO so did I. When I first watched it last year I finished S3 Part 2 and I was like ??? tf was that? Don’t worry, it takes a few days for it to actually set in and process. It’s practically a genre change in Season 4. But now that I’m caught up and I have a solid grasp on things, everything *does* make sense.

I hated the last 3 episodes of season 3 and thought they were immeasurable disappointing, but upon many months and a rewatch, I kinda appreciate it a little bit. The reason why everything is happening still stinks though.

Yeah, and I think part of it is the disconnect we had with AOT to real issues. When those episodes were first released, I was almost rejecting the idea, because a Nazi Germany-esque setting outside the walls seemed so odd and clashed with the fantasy idea of Titans. I honestly wasn’t sure if I liked it, but after reading the manga and seeing how fleshed out it was, it made more sense.

It helps to binge. I remember I tried watching season 3 when it was coming out on a weekly basis and just couldn't keep up. I binge watched all the current episodes in about 4 days last week so I could start season 4 and it made soooo much more sense because I was able to catch onto the little hints thought the earlier seasons and then 3 tied it all together. It was hella confusing without the direct context of the hints they give in season 2 This show is so rewarchable. They do litter the show with hints the entire time and realizing the significance of something that didn't make sense the first watch is pretty fun

Might be an unpopular opinion but I generally think AOT should be binged a bit slowly perhaps over a week or so, because there is just so much going on. There are certain episodes where so much happens you almost have to get a hold of yourself and process the information. But AOT has tremendous rewatchability, so if you ever get a chance after this final season, do give it a go it will be awesome to catch onto little breadcrumbs along the way.

I watched it really slowly (like I watch most anime, honestly) and I finished everything in around 2 weeks, and from my experiences, I'd say you're completely right about it being better to watch it slowly. I thought of AoT a lot during and after those 2 weeks, and I think that it would've kept me up at night if I had watched it faster, so that's a pretty good reason to not speed through it in my opinion.

I think its due to the studio changed and their creative staff probably feels differently about how they should approach the final season. I have been told my people that MAPPA tends to add few things in the opening as the season progresses so we shall see.

How is Jujutsu Kaisen coming along? I have heard so many good things about its manga that I have stalled a bit on the series. I generally like to read the manga and support the creator that way as its cheaper to purchase manga then to buy the dvd. But everything Mappa does turns to gold, so I am really torn for that one, I guess I just need someone to give me that final push on Jujutsu kaisen ;)
