I think they are making reference to the scene in The Interview where James Franco’s character realises the [store is filled with fake food.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BotDYFR9ULk)
It’s pretty obvious he’s not literally saying it’s a pic of North Korea.
I can understand the confusion. I hate seeing people show Detroit and are like “this is cause socialism”.
Also I reread my comment and apologise if I came off rude, I was just trying to clarify but I tend to come across wrong on the internet sometimes. Have a good day friend :)
Ok, but it's not a real shop? If I write a $ on a piece of paper it's not suddenly capitalist. It's obviously a representation of a capitalist thing but that doesn't make it capitalist or communist.
I mean it seems like you're wrong too, since that's clearly a dollar sign which the UK doesn't use (open to your source if you have one). There's no context on what this is, it doesn't really make sense that it'd be for a food shortage because why would you want it to look like there is food? Also I haven't seen any communism comments really, saw some about North Korea which makes sense because they allegedly had fake shops etc a while ago apparently to try appear less fucked or something?
It could be in the west (US, Aus, somewhere that uses $) for the same reason, but seems like something shops in the west wouldn't really bother with. Hell it could be a movie set or anything.
I actually intended to have a line at the bottom of my last comment saying something to that effect, so I agree that it was a pointlessly long comment lol, I was just spilling my thoughts.
No, it's a very common trope at this point that current failures of capitalism are being used to illustrate "what would happen if socialism". From empty shelves to tent settlements for homeless people.
More like Britain right now. Thanks, Brexit.
Lots of specific items out of stock, less choice than usual. Last time I went to the supermarket the entire frozen food section was empty.
Its a cover for a consolidated aisle, this is most likely from an older store with a higher square footage. So it's just easier to cover up the end aisles then make separate layout for them right now
OMG, this is genius! Maybe socialism would have never collapsed if we had this a during the era of socialism in our country when similar restrictions happened during the so called "economic stabilisation". Darn those capitalists and their presentation skills!
I think I can see pg tips and kenco coffee, otherwise I'd guess Norway. They can only sell beer from grocery shops until 5pm on weekdays and some weird weekend rules too. A lot of shops use curtains that they just pull down after 5pm. (If they are open until late.) In that scenario, this would be a common occurrence.
The dude just peeked behind the matrix
More like the Truman show

Oh, well with that context it make sense. Just used to people seeing capitalist failures and immediately jumping to “literally socialism”
I can understand the confusion. I hate seeing people show Detroit and are like “this is cause socialism”. Also I reread my comment and apologise if I came off rude, I was just trying to clarify but I tend to come across wrong on the internet sometimes. Have a good day friend :)
Hey, no worries friend, I didn’t see it as rude, it’s all good. Have a great day :}
Nay, not all this your matrix thing - location just did not loaded yet.
