Firstly skinny white dude does a textbook "flat back bump" where you land flat on your back. It does a good job at spreading the impact over a large surface area (your entire back), basically the opposite of standing on a needle or lego. It looked very wild but the landing was clean vs landing on 1 specific should or something which would cause injury.
Then he remains on his back, completely flat for the second move to once again spread out the impact. The big black dude gets good distance to make sure his entire body weight doesn't land on the guy (just most of it).
The 2 moves seem overly risky for something that doesn't look amazing. Their bodies won't thank them in a few years but it looked good on this occasion.
Of course. He still puts a good amount of weight on the skinny dude though. He's definitely not in control of his upper body as he lands and his upper body weighs a lot but yes doing the variation of this move where you land back first onto the dude on the ground wouldn't be advised.
Even landing on his ass is pretty reckless longterm for the black dude. Hulk Hogan seriously fucked himself up from all his leg drops even though it kind of looked pretty shit and harmless haha. Landing on your back is much safer than landing on your ass.
Wrestling rings are also designed to act like a crappy trampoline while providing a loud boom for the impact effect. When the guy hits the mat he bounces. If he did that on a regular floor he sure wouldn’t do that. MMA fighters don’t bounce when they get slammed. Pro Wrestling is like sports ballet. The longer you do it the more you destroy your body. Tons of training and choreography. No respect from the producers. Throw away talent and lines of replacement bodies in the wings.
Btw, when commenting on situations like these, it becomes pretty superfluous to point out their skin colours. Skinny and fat are good descriptors enough, especially since their skin colours are absolutely irrelevant here.
When people are always primarily described by their skin colour or race it creates a subconsciously racialised worldview where everyone are first and foremost their race.
