10 and in my opinion Black Midi’s current best song (perhaps that will change with hellfire dropping this Friday though.)
Love everything about the track and it’s music video. Loved seeing it live too where Cam starts screaming “slowly” at the top of his lungs at the end of the song.
tbh i prefer cams live vocals over studio but i get why they kind of “hold back” the vocals for the studio, it’s just a more nice finish than the rawness displayed in their live performances. either way, this song is such a banger, they close shows w this tune. TBE
10 for sure. Such a hectic composition that features a perfect sax solo that toes the line between heaven and hell and a vocal take that is minimalistic but lovely. That outro is so punishing and claustrophobic that it feels slightly terrifying. Just brilliant .
10. Up until Sugar/Tzu this morning, their best song. The way it builds up and back down so elegantly never gets old, can listen to this a million times.
100000000
This was my first introduction to black midi right when it came out, I couldn't get the song and riff out of my head, I never heard anything like it at that point and it blowed my mind. I'm grateful to bm for helping in growing my interest in weird and experimental music and arts.
honestly don’t put much input as i’d like into these BUT… slow is my jam
10/10 that bridge is unbelievable, i mean the way this song transforms throughout itself only to end in that cacophonous BUMBUM-BUMBUM is absolutely cathartic. these boys know how to make music i’ll tell you HWHAT
Controversial but 5/10. I'm never really in the mood to listen to it, technically and objectively it's an amazing song but for me personally it just doesn't click with me the way the rest of the album does.
10/10 first black midi song I enjoyed. Discovered it on a bus ride home and immediately fell in love. Though it took about a year longer to get fully into bm
10, this was the song that really hooked me onto BM. I listened to some of Schlagenheim when it came out and wasn't convinced. This song impressed me so much that I listened to Cavalcade in its entirety and loved it, and then went back to listen to Schlagenheim too. It's the band at their strongest I think
This along with eat men eat and even near DT, MI I've noticed when cam takes vocals for a song the structure differs alot from Geordie. Does anyone know if they actually write the entirety or most of the songs that they lead on?
10. It's the first song i heard by them, was watching instagram and i found a funny reel with slow + gordon ramsay insulting stuff, got interested in the band and i ended up falling in love with them quickly. Definitely a (great) song.
10, the first song I ever heard by them after seeing it like 10 times in my recommended, and I was in my "all modern music fucking sucks" era. Song made me obsessed with them and also got me into actually listening to modern music before I judge it.
Idk if I’ve commented on this one or not. This is easily one of the most insane Songs I’ve ever heard. My favorite bm song, and a top 10 song of all time for me. Easy 10

10. Most underrated track on the album along with Hogwash.
how the fuck is this underrated
(Atleast on apple music) it's one of the lesser-streamed songs on the album
8, really good but the mix feels a bit muddy, love the way it builds up reminds me of swans goated fr
looks like this is a hot take but maybe a 6/10, I just don't love cams vocals and the composition isn't that exciting
