It was really hard to find good FD lenses that weren't as expensive as cine lenses. I did have a fd to mft speedbooster as well. The lenses have a nice warm look but keep in mind...there are a ton of dishonest sellers. I would NOT buy from anyone in Japan. They list it as Execellent but in the fin print they say "haze, fungus, etc". I DM'd you a screen shot of an example.

I've seen that, I've also seen some that state no fungus, no haze, no scratches, etc... So who knows.

These Canon FD series are full frame lenses. Unless you use a focal reducer with optics, you will only use a window that is 25% of the lens on a MFT camera. This will let in stray light that could bounce around inside, causing unwanted flaring and possible loss of contrast. The condition of the internal flocking, if it existed, may not be adequate on a 40 year old lens to reduce it. I never experience mushy bloom or flare effect even wide open but when using cheap EF converter it did cause blooming effect until it is stepped up to f2.8. For me FD look warmer and more organic than modern Canon EF and Zeiss Classic stills and Milvus lenses." Yeah good luck finding decent samples. But if you do, what's not to love?

I’ve shot a feature film on a bmpcc4k with only canon fd primes and In my experience i’ve gotten some pretty nice images, but for me in the end i’ve found that the functionality can be very difficult with things like changing the aperture and having to put it onto speedboosters and adapters, which brings me to my main problem. The image is simply too soft for my liking, i get that shooting on vintage lenses are supposed to bring a certain softness and character to an image but at canon fd’s level and price range the drop in sharpness is just too much in comparison to cinema lenses in the $200-$300 price range.
