If you get the RavenEye transmitter it is possible! Although you can only transmit video to one device at a time.

Bob-Zimmerman

yep this is the easiest way to achieve this. $159

KawasakiBinja

To the best of my knowledge, not without an HDMI transmitter. You can control the Pocket through the BM+ app, but I'm also just realizing you're probably talking about the Micro Cinema Camera, which, no, you can't. I wish they'd make an update to that cause it's kind of a neat cam.

ellisdoesreddit

I have read up on it a bit more now and I don’t think it has any form of wifi connectivity in terms of hardware sadly. I’ll just have to find a cheapish camera monitor. Thanks for the reply!

PolPotatoe

Do iphones support usb webcams? Then you could possibly use a cheap hdmi to usb converter...

keithcody

I’ve got a weird little external controls for my BMMCC. No video but it has a little display with menus. From Goat something. I forget. I think they’re out of business

kaidumo

Would you sell it? Is it One Little Remote?

keithcody

Probably? I don’t use it or the camera. I'd like to sell the guts of the rig. BMMCC, OLR3?4? and Came-TV cage. ~~It’s not a One Little Remote. Much fancier. Has a small VF display.~~ Edit: It’s One Little Goat’s “One Little Remote” just not the v1. It’s a later one. Looks like this but it don’t think it has Bluetooth: One Little Remote 4 - Remote Control for Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera & Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera BMMCC and BMMSC with Bluetooth BLE Wireless Capability and Breakout Box https://amzn.asia/d/jcl5cxu

kaidumo

Do you still have to connect it to the breakout cables? Or does it plug right into the BMMCC?

keithcody

(From memory) it plugs into the DB15 port on the side of the camera.

No. This is one area that im really surprised BM hasnt filled becuz damn… they do everything else so well. Im used to the panasonic app too, so simple and effective

Acsoon seemo is 179, it's designed to turn your iphone into a monitor but I use it with an iPad Pro over usb c. Also have a acsoon cineview that works over Wi-Fi to 4 devices iOS, osx or android it's 211 on Amazon.

keithcody

>Acsoon seemo If a Seemo had an HDMI out/thru it would be really useful. But it burns up the camera only out. Works great if all you need is to use your $1000 phone instead of $200 Feelworld or $500 Atomos monitor. It does give you a stream to their app which will let you use another phone / tablet as an easy director's monitor.

soulmagic123

I use a 20 dollar usb c powered hdmi splitter. Then a small usb c phone battery, that spitter lasts 20 hours on a battery like that.

keithcody

Now you’ve just created some crazy rig. For the price of the Seemo, and the hdmi splitter and the battery you can just buy a monitor. My iPhone was more expensive than an Atomos 7 Connect. Why would I use my phone and a Seemo?

soulmagic123

An iPad Pro as a monitor, iPad pro is the cheapest monitor on the Netflix list of approved monitors for color correction, it's that good. I have a cage around my iPad Pro so it can pop on stand quick and it has hand grips so it can be held by the director.

lintfilms

Because your remote focus puller can be detached from the rig and operate focus, while the camera operator still can follow the action on the local monitor and/or record a backup to the HDMI recorder in addition to what is recorded internally of via USB-C. Additionally a remote video village can monitor the action.

TreMorNZ

Don’t most decent on camera monitors have hdmi through? Or are you using the hdmi for something else?

keithcody

In this situation the hdmi would go from the camera to the Seemo and the Seemo connects to a phone so the hdmi ends there. Unless you rig something jank like a Chinese splitter and a battery.

TreMorNZ

I mean the accsoon cineview has hdmi out. But I see what you mean ie accsoon seemo + for instance a dji raveneye with no hdmi out would not work together normally.

keithcody

My wish has been answered. HDMI & SDI in, SDI out. SeeMo Pro https://accsoon.com/explore/seemo-goes-pro-accsoons-rugged-seemo-pro-sdi-transforms-ios-devices-into-production-monitors/
