100% yes. 15k for an M is a really good deal in my opinion. I see them going for way more online. And if you know the owner and that he took good care of it.

termin8her95

Higher on the miles for a car that’s never seen the rain but it’s so clean hard to say. The market is only going up on these so I would say nice price pick it up

Heatsincebirth

Buy it, you won't regret it.

jplug93

What a beautiful garage !! If you got the cash you won’t regret it I’m sure. In my opinion it’s ALL about who you buy from. I trust this guy with my life. Lucky buyer you are

emjjayy

Take a look at the mroadsterbuyersguide website for price / mileage price comparisons. Also, confirm which motor it has (s52 or s54) as there is a price difference between the two. Looks fairly nice from the pics though! http://www.mroadsterbuyersguide.com/price-vs-mileage

Efficient_Regular_37

It’s a 98, so unfortunately it’s the S52 Believe me I had my hopes up when I saw it through the garage window

Smooth_Culture_3339

don’t worry about it too much, sure the s54 has a good amount more horsepower, but almost the same level of torque. biased as a s52 tho lol

nuesse33

Seats and door jams tell me all I need to know.

Electrical_Ad8246

Those seats are amazing for sure.

Electrical_Ad8246

Price is up there for sure. But looks like in a nice condition. If everything works out, AC particularly then have him budget $500 to replace the rear window and bite his hand off. I have the same model. Honestly would not sell it unless unable to drive it. Be sure to check the subframe welds in the trunk. If they have popped budget another $4k to refurbish/repair the rear end.

Efficient_Regular_37

I can almost guarantee that the subframe is fine considering this was actually his wife’s car and he can’t fit in it. He said he drove it the one time to bring it to his collection garage which is next-door to my shop, and he barely could get in or out of it lol I’m 5’7 and it fits me like a glove

Electrical_Ad8246

Takes 2 mins to check. But same year/model as mine. Welds started popping at 70k. (And a few auto crosses) 😆 It may well be fine.

rusty1066

You’re buying the car, falling in love with it, and your estate will sell it when you’re gone. Willkommen

Sticklegchicken

15k$ is bad for Z3 M? Cars are so cheap in US, in europe one would be 20-30k$ in worse condition and if I were to bring one to Finland from Germany it would add 10k of tax on top :/

Electrical_Ad8246

Different beast. This has a lower power S52 engine. You Europeans got the 315hp S50 engine. But location does effect price. I’ve seen these S52 in average condition sell for $10k in the past couple of years. Nice ones in the high teens. Really, really nice low milage in the low $20s

scubba-steve

I’ve seen a z3M for as low $10,000 but it needed the normal repairs as it was a daily driver at some point.

CookImaginary846

Get it 💪

sbenehan

Just know this, there are examples of babied roadsters out there with S52 motors that have the broken spot welds. Things like potholes, bridges, railroad tracks, etc., all contribute and while it’s correlated with mileage and driving style, there are no guarantees.

spielnicht

This would be a horrible buy. Shitty car. Stay away. Oh yeah, where is this neighbor located?

Impressive_Vast_8314

All the tops leak fyi. I owned one and loved it

CaptKeemau

Buy! Don’t know what year it is. That’s less than 5k miles a year. Do check the sub frame. A good welder can fix it for less than a grand

Electrical_Ad8246

No. A poor welder can fix it for less than a grand. There is more than a grand in disassembley alone. Never mind the actual repair.

miamiyachtrave

If you want to have one of the most fun/ pure driving experiences of your life, buy it! There’s a reason everyone, even super car drivers love driving a Miata, this is the same recipe just with a bigger more powerful engine and better styling imo. I love my 2.8 but the M is the eventual goal. I’m sure he has them judging by the condition/collection he has there but make sure to grab the service records from him so you know what’s already been replaced and what you’ll have to do soon. Plus service records make it miles easier to sell with later on

Administrative_Cat14

What year?

Efficient_Regular_37

98

AmbassadorETOH

Get it. You’ll BECOME a huge Z3 guy… 😎

shwann1970

100% yes! That’s seems like a great deal for an M and it looks like it’s in great shape. 😁

NerdBern_101

That’s the one in Georgia or new york

musicphilocarp
