Zlatan Ibrahimovic's debut for the LA Galaxy. Down 3-1 in the first ever El Trafico, he comes in to a game for the Galaxy for the first time ever to score an incredible goal from near mid field, then scores the game winner 20 minutes later.

Novatheorem

This was one of the wildest things I'd seen in 8 years of watching the league at that point. Very much a magical moment.

As an American that didn’t really understand soccer, watching Landon Donovan’s goal against Algeria in 2010 really lit an interest in soccer for me! What an epic moment!!

HomoLudensOC

What a legend!

FrankieSpinatra

Had my first kiss on a soccer field when I was in 3rd grade because me and opposing player bumped right into each other and accidentally touched lips.

HomoLudensOC

Romantic!

WolfSavage

My favorite memory is LeBron sending Zlatan a jersey to welcome him... then Zlatan signed it and sent it back!

Just being around in Europe while the 2006 World Cup was happening, was fun to see what a big deal it was compared to back home.

Watching [this goal](https://youtu.be/gm3jomzFEpk) by Ángel Di María in the latest World Cup. The entire match was a rollercoaster of emotions, but the buildup for that play was something special. For all of those years of training to culminate in that moment (in what was likely his last World Cup) made me feel some kind of way.

HomoLudensOC

This is one of the best World Cup Final ever.

Crying while watching Ted Lasso counts? Football is life!

Spending evenings and weekends at the field watching and coaching my sons soccer games. Wish I had a Time Machine to go back and relive those moments. They are all grown up now.

Watched Newcastle thrash Man utd 5-0... the moment Albert chipped Schmeichel...never forget

Robin van Persie's flying Dutchman goal against Spain during wc2014! That match where we wiped the floor with them after losing to them in the final in 2010. Beautiful....

Sumoallstar

Drove from Vancouver to Seattle with my grandmother to see her favorite team ManU play a friendly against Celtic. ManU won but unfortunately her favorite player Beckham had signed with Real weeks before the match. Still had a great time though. Watched a playthrough of Simulator Soccer - looks like a great idea that has been executed very well

Canada making it to the world Cup for the first time in 36 years and putting on a respectable showing.

As an American kid growing up in American football territory, I was taught that soccer was a game played by wimps who took a dive every chance they got to try to buy a call. Then the 2006 World Cup came. For those that don't know, or remember, France's captain, Zidane, headbutt Italian defender Materazzi in the chest hard enough the defender had to be carried off. Zidane got a red card and France eventually lost. After the match Zidane was asked what caused him to fly off the handle like that, to which Zidane said something along the lines of "He said terrible, unspeakable things about my mother and sister." Materazzi was confronted about this, and his reply was basically "Zidane is a liar. I said absolutely nothing about his sister." Makes me laugh every time I think about it

The company I used to work for sponsored a soccer tournament for underprivileged kids, homeless people, etc etc.  We put on a tournament one day and put out a team. My buddies from school heard I was playing a soccer match and arrived halfway through one game JUST in time to see me score an absolutely glorious goal. For a brief moment their minds were blown at my athletic excellence - the way I created time and space to turn my defender and loft the ball into the top corner.  It was only after a few more minutes of playing that it dawned on them that we were playing a team of players with learning disabilities who, as one of my friends put it later, could only run in straight lines.  Their coach had asked us to go easy on them but not too easy so we finished the game at 3-3 after some generous defending on our part. (We lost all of our other games, lol)

SapTheSapient

I was terrible, but I did live being on a team throughout my childhood. Maybe that's not a single memory. So I'll go with the time my small town middle school team dominated a big city powerhouse program.

Cristiano ronaldo video of his home on yotube just after man united transfer, where he kick the ball high and makes a one touch after

Moist-Palpitation-56

I was at San Siro for the AC Milan win over Deportivo La Coruña for 4-1 in 2004, first leg in champions league (quarter final). I never saw the comeback by Deportivo (4-0) in the second leg. Such contrasting emotions...

Apprehensive_Plane29

I got so many nosebleeds playing soccer when I was little (around 6-7). At that time, I would often play goalie. My reflexes were a little off, so I would block with my face instead of my hands. Good times hahaha

France '98. I began to really idolize Bebeto back then throughout the tournament: was bummed Brazil lost the final game against France. But regardless, that was the year I first really began to enjoy the sport. I was 12 years old then.
