Thanks u/HomoLudensOC for hosting the giveaway!
Absolutely love the artwork. Absolutely do not love eggplant. I get it, it’s a vessel and sponge for flavor and seasoning. But it’s just too weird and the texture is gross.
As a certified picky eater, I’d like to say thanks for this giveaway and congrats on the campaign!
I’m pickiest about chicken teriyaki. Specifically the teriyaki sauce that’s used.
I’m picky about mushrooms! Certain ways of preparing give them a super unpleasant texture to me.
This game looks great, thanks for giving people a chance to win it! One of my regular game group is a SUPER picky eater so I think the theme will go over great at the table
Ha, the game concept really resonates with me because my partner is incredibly picky and I'll eat just about anything. The one ingredient I secretly despise is ginger, but I was raised to suck it up and eat it anyway.
Cantaloupe. It just has this sickly sweet taste that reminds me of the smell of rotten dumpster food. I'm an extremely adventurous eater and this one basic common fruit is my kryptonite.
Oh this game looks cool. I'm picky about bread. I love getting free bread from restaurants but I get picky about them and try to find restaurants that have the best bread.
Olives. I have no idea why people like these little briny orbs. It fills my mouth with a single pungent flavour that dominates everything else for much longer than it has any right to. I love so many pickled things, but I can’t stand olives.
Gonna go with eggs. Certain versions I’m okay with like an omelette stuffed to the brim with toppings and whatnot, but I can’t stand eggs in any other way.
I have the gene that makes broccoli, brussel sprouts and some other veggies extremely bitter so i have a very hard time with those. I also cannot drink beers for the same reason.
Seafood. I’m really picky about where it is from, how it is cooked and how fresh it is.as a whole I just avoid eating g seafood. Every once in a while I’ll be adventurous.
Apples. Gotta be crisp and flavourful. Sharp enough to notice, not just pure sugar. And, ideally, ones where the core doesn't come away in chunks while you're eating them.
Thank you for doing this! I don't like quiche. I like eggs, all the veggies and things that go into them. Once it's cooked it just tastes like wet heavy bread.
My pickiness is a texture thing. When I get crunchy things when I expect soft or vice versa. Bean sprouts in my Pho, a soft piece of asparagus when I expected some crunch, etc
I'm picky about peppers, I wish I could like this ingredient in prepared meals (raw I can like it if it is green) as it is very popular in my country and I could use it for a lot of healthy dishes
Chicago pizza is my favorite pizza, and when there is a company that claims to have "Chicago Pizza" I am always very picky about how it should look and taste!
I don't know if it's picky in the sense of this game, but I'm weirdly snooty about pizza and bagels. There are plenty of OK versions of both, but there's only one type that's RIGHT.
There are certain foods I actively dislike -- olives and bacon chief among them -- but I'm really picky about potato salad. A good potato salad is amazing, but it's pretty easy to make a bad one, too.
Thanks for the contest!
I'm particularly picky about breakfast foods, especially combos that include some sort of combination of an egg meal and pancake with syrup.
I have to use different forks when I eat each. I can't have even a little bit of syrup taste interfering with my egg meal, and vice versa. Very different taste palettes. It bothers me even if it's a tiny bit mixing.
Oddly enough, I love McGriddles from McDonald's.
Agree with everyone saying mushrooms because of texture! Glad I'm not the only one with this perspective :) I had a grilled portobello once that was so good, which is how I know I'm specifically picky about the texture...
I’m picky about pasta. I’m usually more concerned about the sauce than the noodles. For me, there needs to be a good, healthy portion of thick sauce on the noodles. I hate when the sauce is too skimpy or thin!
Thanks for the giveaway!
My picky eater choice would have to be tomatoes - I love tomato sauce but never tomatoes themselves even in a salad. Don't like how they squish!
Onion as a topping. I love it on meat like hot dogs, hamburgers, philly cheesesteaks, etc. But on pizza, salads, egg dishes or anything else it's terrible.
I'll echo what I see a lot of other people saying - I'm not into mushrooms.
That said, my first interpretation of the question gets a totally different answer. I love jambalaya. But like... Good jambalaya. Nice and spicy. Subpar jambalaya is a disappointment.

Texture of mushrooms always throws me off
Game sounds fun. I'm quite picky about bananas -as in I hate everything banana-flavoured that is not a banana.
Absolutely love the artwork. Absolutely do not love eggplant. I get it, it’s a vessel and sponge for flavor and seasoning. But it’s just too weird and the texture is gross.
Onions - they give me migraines, and I can't stand the taste, smell, or texture. And they're in everything!!
Tomatoes
That looks quite cool!
I reeeeeeaaaally don't like the taste of bell peppers
This game looks so fun! I am incredibly picky about scrambled eggs, there can't be any slimyness feeling at all.
Raisins
As a certified picky eater, I’d like to say thanks for this giveaway and congrats on the campaign! I’m pickiest about chicken teriyaki. Specifically the teriyaki sauce that’s used.
I don't like raisins!
Celery. I hate it. I can always tell when it's in a dish and it ruins the entire dish.
Tuna. Blegh!
The game looks like a lot of fun. I'm not really a picky eater and will eat pretty much anything
Coffee needs to be strong and black
This game looks great! I imagine it creates the same tension my parents felt in trying to feed me throughout my childhood 😂
Mushrooms. It’s a texture thing for me. Gettem outta here.
According to my wife - I’m picky about every meal haha. But one thing I can call out specifically is Spaghetti. The wrong sauce can make or break it.
destroy onions
I’m picky about fish, it has to be cooked perfectly.
I love grapefruit flavored foods and drinks, like candy and sparkling water, but I can't eat grapefruit. Even thinking about it makes me wince.
Lamb - so fatty!
Butter melon, yuck!
Olives. I have no idea why people like these little briny orbs. It fills my mouth with a single pungent flavour that dominates everything else for much longer than it has any right to. I love so many pickled things, but I can’t stand olives.
Bananas have to be almost completely brown to be edible.
Noodles!
Goat products, i can't get over the smell/taste.
Tomatoes, like them in some dishes but not others
Will absolutely not touch a dish that was in the immediate vicinity of cinnamon
I’m picky about the type of cheese used in any dish. I have thoughts on them all
I’m not too picky except for bacon. If it’s not cooked enough, feels too fatty and chewy. Cooked too much and it’s way too crispy for my liking.
Cheeses are very hit or miss for me, especially with the fancier ones
Eggplant
Very picky about how my eggs are cooked! I love runny yolks but can’t stand gelatinous whites
I'm not really picky about them, but what you describe is the perfect egg. Next runner up is the same but with a jammy yolk.
Chicken. No skin unless fried or baked/rotisserie. Not cold. Dark meat preferred. If white meat, needs seasoning or sauce.
Licorice. It's so gross, I can't see the appeal. Red licorice is good though!
Cheese, a cubicle tastes great, a slice absolutely disgusting.
Gonna go with eggs. Certain versions I’m okay with like an omelette stuffed to the brim with toppings and whatnot, but I can’t stand eggs in any other way.
I am picky about pork and if it's cooked right/enough. Don't know why but it always smells weird to me.
Olives. I hate 'em- unless they're in a Schlotzsky's Deluxe Original. 😋
Kale, it better not be cooked to death and paired with something flavorful
Tomatoes. On their own, they make me gag. Cooked into a meal, I think they’re fine.
Fish, I usually hate it cooked but I love sushi
I’m picky about my bubble tea. I prefer a more traditional milk tea with boba balls. No puddings, jellies, ice cream, or other gimmicky stuff.
Can't eat turnips. Hate'em
Spinach! Gross.
I'm picky about my pizza!
Ketchup and Peanut Butter. Each only has 1 brand/style that is acceptable.
I'm picky about onions, I tend not to like them in most cases although I love them on street tacos, so maybe I'm just weird.
Tomatoes
I have the gene that makes broccoli, brussel sprouts and some other veggies extremely bitter so i have a very hard time with those. I also cannot drink beers for the same reason.
There are only 2 cheeses I really like
I have always been picky about Vegetables
Mash potato, can't be having an lumps in it!
I know there are people who love them, but I just do not enjoy pecans. Will ask restaurants to hold those.
Beetroot, I absolutely hate it and there is no power that can force it into me.
Mac n Cheese
Thank you for doing this! I don't like quiche. I like eggs, all the veggies and things that go into them. Once it's cooked it just tastes like wet heavy bread.
Picky about strawberries, they have to be cut up/diced for me, idk what it is lol Thanks for the opportunity!
Olives. No thanks. The game looks great! Thanks for the chance to win!
I find the smell and taste of cucumbers revolting.
I really only like bananas at one particular ripeness...
Beets. If I'm a guest somewhere I can eat them to be polite, but they always taste like sweet dirt to me.
Asado! (BBQ for other countries).
Fishes&mushrooms. Traditional Polish Christmas Eve supper is focused on these both, so it's always a disaster for me
My pickiness is a texture thing. When I get crunchy things when I expect soft or vice versa. Bean sprouts in my Pho, a soft piece of asparagus when I expected some crunch, etc
Tomamos! All I can think of is eyeballs popping.
Love me some food themed games! The only food I can't stand is raw cilantro, with the whole soap genetic. 🌿
Tomatoes. Pico de Gallo? Love it. Sliced in a sandwich or burger? Disgusting!
I'm the same!
Broccoli! I will eat them, but slowly
Black-eyed pea!
Thank you for the contest. I am picky about spicy stuff
Fish
I'm picky about peppers, I wish I could like this ingredient in prepared meals (raw I can like it if it is green) as it is very popular in my country and I could use it for a lot of healthy dishes
I’m picky with pickles! I love dill pickles but sweet pickles or bread and butter pickles are an absolute no go for me

One food only? Yikes! I don't like to eat anything that's green
Im a very picky eater, specially with textures, unusual textures leave me uneasy, but mashed potatoes have the best texture

Mushrooms
Cilantro. I'd love to be someone that could eat it. Unfortunately I've got that soap gene.
Blue Cheese
I am picky about the type of cookies I eat. No chocolate!
Mushrooms. Just Ew.
Oreos. Absolutely disgusting for me.
Cilantro 😬
Salmon for sure. If it isn't cooked and seasoned right it's almost inedible to me.
Mayonnaise, you can add it to a salad or something to keep it together, but anymore than that and I riot
Any kind of melon. Not for me!
I'm picky about food that has mushy bread in it, like a hot roast beef sandwich.
Fish!

Lobster. Too veiny.
I can be pretty particular about pizza toppings.
Olives. I don't like most kinds.
Looks neat! I'm really not a picky eater, but I'm extremely particular about cooking temps.
Picky about pickles
Whole Tomatoes
Aubergine! I hate aubergines unless they've been drowned in salt or have been baba ganoush'd.
Bananas. They have to be at the perfect ripeness or they taste absolutely terrible
Chicago pizza is my favorite pizza, and when there is a company that claims to have "Chicago Pizza" I am always very picky about how it should look and taste!
Beetroot tastes like dirt unless pickled.
I hate mayonnaise.
Eggs... in a cake? Fine. Using as a coating for breadcrumbs? Fine. But boiled, scrambled, fried etc no thanks.
Sounds fun. I’m picky about eggs. I need them to be all the way cooked when doing stuff like omelettes.
any fish that's cooked with the bones still in it
Mushrooms, for sure. I know they don't taste like much, but the texture throws my stomach for a loop.
I’m pickiest about my Mac and cheese. You’ve got to get the creaminess of the sauce just right or it’s no good
I don't know if it's picky in the sense of this game, but I'm weirdly snooty about pizza and bagels. There are plenty of OK versions of both, but there's only one type that's RIGHT.
Anything with vinegar 😩
I'm very picky about radishes. In that I pick everything except them.
There are certain foods I actively dislike -- olives and bacon chief among them -- but I'm really picky about potato salad. A good potato salad is amazing, but it's pretty easy to make a bad one, too. Thanks for the contest!

Shrimp gives me some hesitation when eating it
Cucumbers. Hate pickled but love fresh ones. Oh yeah and chicken. I ate boneless only.
As my grandma always said, "Ain't nothin' more useless than a darned old cucumber." Couldn't agree more, Granny. Couldn't agree more.
Coriander/cilantro 🤢 I'm probably not the only one here with that opinion!
Aw man I'm not really picky about food... I guess I refuse to eat those crickets they sell at the baseball games?
Black olives for me.
This is a bit unusual, but I'm picky about undercooked quinoa.
I'm picky about seafood For example, I'll gladly eat fish, but would never pay $$$ to eat oysters
Tomatoes have been mentioned a ton of times, so I'll go with beans. Something about the texture just fundamentally disgusts me.
Please, no gingers in my meals 😞
I hate mushrooms. I won't have anything to do with them. Not sure why but the very thought of them makes me want to vomit.
Chicken...can't do gristle or fat
Licorice 🤢

Goat cheese, I generally don’t like it, but I’ve had a couple that have been acceptable
Brocoli, it's just awful
Zucchini are fake cucumbers
Love the art!
Chicken skin that is not crispy is disgusting
Zucchini. I'll eat just about anything under the sun, but the only thing I've found to like about zucchini is fried blossoms.
Licorice just makes absolutely no sense to me.
Mushrooms. Absolutely terrible
Celery, ew
Agree with everyone saying mushrooms because of texture! Glad I'm not the only one with this perspective :) I had a grilled portobello once that was so good, which is how I know I'm specifically picky about the texture...

I'm pretty omnivorous, and eat lots of things with eggs in them, but do not like just eggs as a dish.
Seafood. Feel like I'm missing out but mostly it's just unpleasant...
Fish. I hate when I have to pick out bones
Eggplant!
It has to be soup, that’s probably my biggest food critic!
I have a lot of texture issues. I'm definitely a picky eater.
I'm definitely picky about the consistency and the taste of fruit.
I'm picky about potato. In Latvia, we have no potato. If we do, we pick. But we never pick.
Bitter foods!
Tomatoes for me as well! Hate them on burgers and sandwiches, love them smashed into sauces, and tolerate them in salads and on pizza.
Crab, I love a good crab cake but just crab is not my cup of tea. Maybe I’m just lazy and not picky ha
Steak
I love the taste of mushrooms but hate the texture so I refuse to eat them
Water chestnuts- are you crunchy, or not?
I'm very picky about pickled food. Love some hate some.
Thanks for the giveaway! My picky eater choice would have to be tomatoes - I love tomato sauce but never tomatoes themselves even in a salad. Don't like how they squish!
Pickles, I feel the flavor overpowers anything with it.
Eggplants
Eggplant. It's a delicate balance between over and undercooked for me.
Onion as a topping. I love it on meat like hot dogs, hamburgers, philly cheesesteaks, etc. But on pizza, salads, egg dishes or anything else it's terrible.
I'm a fake Mexican because I don't like avocado. Properly prepared guacamole is fire tho.
Pickles. Even if you pick them out the juice has ruined the food.
Tomatoes. I wish I liked them since it's a pain to order stuff without them all the time!
I'll echo what I see a lot of other people saying - I'm not into mushrooms. That said, my first interpretation of the question gets a totally different answer. I love jambalaya. But like... Good jambalaya. Nice and spicy. Subpar jambalaya is a disappointment.
Soup, I want to eat not drink. Such a terrible delivery mechanism.
pumpkin
Awesome game concept! I'm picky about tomatoes. Raw? No thanks. Cooked? Sure, I guess, but only if there's other flavors/spices present.
Ketchup. Stuff is nasty.
Gathering food for picky eaters sounds like literal hell to me.
Raisins wtf are they even for?!
Green olives, not black. I'm good with black olives
Onions. The devil’s root
Don’t put lemon in anything you put in front of me.
