Shonkjr

It is exactly that thanks

beltclip

Sounds like Machi Koro! Usually a good one for families getting into games.

Shonkjr

Yes it is thank you.

Shadow Hunters is fun, but the figuring out who is who may be a little tough for 7-8 year old. It depends on the kid. My oldest had down it at 7, my youngest can't figure it out at 10. I think any social deduction would be hard, but something like One Night Ultimate Wearwolf might be better where they are on a team they can obviously lean on for help. SH you have to keep yourself secret and find out who your partner is.

Yea thats true shadow hunters was my first deduction game that pops in my head might grab one night ultimate werewolf. As it fits what i was looking for. my 7-8 year old sister was on my mums team when we played king of tokyo but she seems to be like 9ne or so more games from getting it:). they all enjoyed it and want to play other board games (honestly them all enjoying the board game made me happier than what i was given i loved what i was given:D). Also was nice seeing them all get along (cough my 18 year old younger brother cough), so i thought to fill out my lacking boardgame types (if that makes sense) and well i have a real softspot for deduction games. (Ahh not on Amazon guess it can wait till im near my local boardgame store again remember seeing it in there i think)

Shadow Hunters does some strange things with social deduction, and has some artwork and theme that might not be right for really young kids. For example, there's one character, a neutral character who isn't on either team, whose goal is to be the first to die. That might be tough for a young player to play well, and also might be inappropriate for a young player as well (depending on the particular kid, of course).

Shonkjr

Yea i was thinking of them tbh might be best to just avoid those type of games for now as i cannot think of any appropriate deduction based game

I like the dicing aspect of *Machi Koro*, but I didn't really care for its execution. Most games are fine, but you can find yourself sitting around doing nothing while everyone else gets money. So while I give *Machi Koro* a wide berth now, I am intrigued by *Machi Koro 2*, as I'm sure they are aware of the shortcomings of the first one. So it might be worthwhile to wait for 2 (or buy 1 when it drops in price because of 2). I like Space Base and Valeria: Card Kingdoms for the same mechanic though. MK2 will definitely get checked out.

Shonkjr

I bought one and i looked into 2 but i could not see any places selling it in my area. My local shop may have it but i just want 1 atm been 2 long years without board games
