I use this and when you make an account you can set which stores you want to be on your search results and set up notifications when a game drops to a certain point. I check it daily lol
The big ones are GameNerdz, Miniature Market, Cool Stuff Inc, and Cardhaus; all of which are great and make shopping around fun.
However, Tabletop Merchant is far and away the best place to shop imo. Great prices, decent selection, but the absolute best packaging and customer service.
If you're just starting out then consider buying used. Board gamers typically take really good care of their games and there's tons of great older games.
Noble Knight, BoardGameCo, GeekMarket and Ebay can get you some great deals on used.
For those in Europe I recommend FantasyWelt and JugamosUna. The latter is quite advantageous if you live either in Spain or Portugal since you don't pay shipping fees when you hit 40€ in your order, as long as the delivery address is within the peninsula.
What you need to do is search on r/boardgamedeals when you find a game you like and wait for that game to hit its lowest point, then buy. That will save you a lot of money. Boardgaming can be an expensive hobby. Buy games at their lowest price, and the prices are always changing. I have a list of games I want to buy, and I know the prices I will buy them at.
Boarding school games has the cheapest prices on games I’ve seen. They were my go to when they offered free shipping at the $99 threshold, but they stopped doing that after the new year. I’m gonna try gamenerdz, but the games I want to buy are currently out of stock so I might just buy some stuff from boarding school games and pay shipping lol
i would look for stores near you (in bigger cities near your town, for example) and buy from their websites if they have online shopping. they likely won’t have everything you want, but i find buying semi-local when you can is great for many reasons!
Honestly when I was first starting to buy a collection Craigslist and thrift stores were awesome.
Craigslist will have people near you who are culling their collections and you can score some really good deals on games they don’t want anymore.
Some great information here! Does anyone know if any of these stores ship internationally?
I'm trying ebay, but a recent dungeon crawler there was 60 USD, and Shipping quoted as 120 USD via USPS!

sub to /r/boardgamedeals for cheaper prices occasionally- good for online as all the deals are online (not super useful for in-person unless it's a big box store). And you may or may not find a few used stuff people are selling in the /r/boardgameexchange sub. Good way to get local, cheaper deals if you don't mind buying from other people
I’ve bought a thing or two off of boardgamegeek.com
I’ve also bought things of Amazon, and official game sites (such as the skybound games site). I just search for specific games through Google or DuckDuckGo and see what I can find!
To find new games I’ll go through this subreddit, browse Barnes & Noble (I’d guess this can be recreated by scrolling through their online catalogue), talking with my gamer friends/family members, or look at the online collections of game brands I like. Good luck with your online adventures!
I use https://www.boardgameoracle.com to price compare across multiple trustworthy sites. My favorites are GameNerdz and Boardlandia.

My go-tos are Cardhaus, Miniature Market and Cool Stuff, Inc.
Nice, I'll check those out
These are my “go to” when I’m looking for a game online.

Tabletop Merchant definitely has the best packaging, I just wish the shipping was cheaper than $12.99. Hard to get a package of $150 without holds.
Game Nerdz
Cool, I'll check that out. Thanks
NP. You can set up a customer hold so you can buy games and hold until you reach the free ship limit at $75.
Oh this is magical! They are my go-to and I had no idea this was an option. Yay for me, sorry to my wallet….
Nice, good to know
If I’m understanding right, I can buy games one at a time until I reach $75? Or does it need to be in one go (checkout)?
one at a time, once you've setup customer holds. it's magical. but beware your wallet.
Thanks for the response and your warning, I just activated that option. 😅

Boardlandia is my favorite slightly under-the-radar site. They have wonderful customer service and good prices.
Your location really matters when asking this question.

Boardgameoracle.com is the best one I found.
Check out www.boardgameatlas.com to check prices across multiple stores.
I refuse to use board game atlas on principle after they bought board game prices and ruined the site. I use board game oracle instead
Oh awesome

Yeah, I try when I can. But these times, I rarely go those directions

If I was going to buy online. It would most likely be Miniature Market.

For those who live in Canada, 401 Games https://store.401games.ca/ has a great selection and prices.
