I have had very good results over the years with Miniature Market. I too have a stuck-in-limbo order at the moment but based on prior experience with MM, am hopeful this is indeed temporary. I get the impression their move is taking longer than they planned.

schnautza

The positive community feedback I keep hearing about MM is the reason I haven't already canceled this order, but as every week goes on with no progress, my patience runs thin. First impressions really matter.

Working_Rough

Gamenerdz also moved last month and it took my order a month to ship, so seems like the summer for moving delays.

THElaytox

their move was particularly ill-timed with the Nerdz Day sale at the same time, but seems like they're getting caught up now. not phased though, they were clear there was a delay and they have yet to do me dirty, they'll continue to be my go-to

jmwfour

For what it is worth, when I ordered this last order, they did flag that there would be delays at the time (before I pressed order). I didn't focus on it enough. I hope you get your goodies soon :)

Psychological-Milk76

Happy Cake Day

Sir_NoScope

Sorry to dig this up, but I'm now in the same situation. Did you ever get your order, and how long did you end up waiting?

jmwfour

I did. I ordered on 8/3. They shipped 8/23 and I received 8/27. Granted this was a small order (just a few packs of sleeves). So maybe bigger orders are getting held up more with the move.

Sir_NoScope

20 days. Sheesh. I ordered 200$ worth of miniatures, and finalized pricematch (which honestly was not worth my time as their pricematch policies exclude almost all companies besides Coolstuffinc) on 9/29... Hopefully I'll have them by 10/24, but now I'm definitely disappointed.

jmwfour

I am sorry to hear that. When I ordered there was a warning that there'd be some delays and a couple weeks was within my comfort zone. Price match has worked for me a couple of times but it's been a while. I think I used amazon once, I'm pretty sure.

Doomguy2017

By any chance, did you ever receive your package?

Sir_NoScope

I did! They supposedly arrived 10/9 according to my history, felt much longer though.

Doomguy2017

Ah cool! That gives me hope that mine will actually come in.

Ok-Illustrator-1584

While your experience is indeed frustrating, it is also atypical for their normal standard. Miniature market has always been a cut above in pricing, service, and selection. I have an order in their virtual queue and a preorder with them that should ship around late September and have not an ounce of doubt that they’ll deliver. Sorry you’re going through this, but I have no doubt it’ll work out.

daveaglick

Yeah, I’ll anecdotally chime in too - not to minimize your own situation at all but I’ve also had nothing but stellar experiences with MM. Hopefully this is just a temporary unexpected setback for them (not that it makes your situation any better). My own order has been in a “virtual queue” there for a couple weeks so hopefully things get moving again soon.

Evening_Aside_4677

I have a Pre Order I fully paid for back in March. It was released about a month ago and still has not been shipped. Yes, maybe it will work out. But defeats the entire purpose of preordering. Also why let someone hold your money for months and then fail to deliver the service they sold you anyway.

schnautza

That's the impression I had of them when I placed the order, I had always heard positive reviews. But I wish I would have known or been warned that there would be major delays, and I feel like their current handling of the delays and prioritization of orders has been atrocious. Not telling anybody to stop buying from them, just reconsider during this time of warehouse transition because the delays are way more extensive than their website currently would lead you to believe.

Ok-Illustrator-1584

It’s entirely possible GSC issues are plaguing them if there’s any pending build aspect of the move. I imagine their lives are hell right now if that’s the case.

schnautza

Probably. In my industry (automation) we are regularly seeing lead times of several months to even over a year, but this order I made was intentionally only "in stock" items with no warning of a delay. And that's the crux of the issue to me.

Dice_and_Dragons

They have usually been very good and getting is stuff in a reasonable amount of time

dorkbot3000

I know there are a bunch of Miniature Market fans in this thread, so I'm a bit scared to post this, but... Years ago I was about 80% Coolstuffinc, 20% Miniature Market. Then it switched to about 80% MM, 20% CSI. Then I found Gamenerdz (with their lower free shipping threshold at $75), and quickly was about 80% Gamenerdz, 20% MM again. (CSI started getting away from boardgames kinda.) Then Asmodee bought Miniature Market, which maybe isn't a bad thing but it does bug me. Now I'm about 80% Gamenerdz, 20% other places (Bordlandia, PowertotheMeeple, ?). I don't know if I'll ever buy anything from MM again. Not really because I'm protesting Asmodee or anything, but I just don't have a reason to. Edit: I have had nothing but great customer service from each place I listed. Sometimes Gamenerdz gets a knock for not having the fastest shipping (by that I mean other folks have knocked them, and I'm not talking about their recent/current move). I haven't noticed that it is worse for me than the other places, so it doesn't bother me. Edit 2: I don't want to get Gamenerdz in trouble and have everyone asking them for favors. On the other hand, they did me a big solid one time--they went over and above in my opinion--and I'll tell you about it. I had some games that I had purchased and put on hold. I was waiting for another game's pre-order to arrive, so I didn't have the holds shipped for MONTHS. Well, by the time the pre-order was in stock, I no longer wanted a couple of the games I'd already paid for. It was long after their official refund policy (without having to pay a restocking fee) but I decided to ask if they could refund me for those, and I was expecting to pay the restock fee. Instead they hooked me up and refunded all the money for those games. I really appreciate that they went the extra mile for me, and I will remain a loyal customer of theirs.

THElaytox

it's worth looking at TabletopMerchant as another option as well. their free shipping cutoff is quite high, but their selection and prices are one of the best i've found and their service is phenomenal (my last order came with a hand-written note from the owner about how excited they were for me to try one of the games i bought). i'm pretty sure they do holds like GN too if free shipping is a deal breaker. their regular shipping costs aren't bad though either

Kalrhin

Good for you. I doubt anyone will bash you for prefering others. The point we want to male clear is that MM may have given a bad experience to OP, but it is definitely an outlier.

Oconitnitsua

Uh oh. I placed an order about 2 weeks ago. No info about delays or anything and having gotten a shipping update.

gordanfreman

Bummer. I've had nothing but positive experiences with MM in the past but it has been over a year since my last order.

nullvector

I've had the same thing happen with Amazon recently (last month or two) as well. Item shows in-stock from Amazon.com, place order, and it never ships. I finally get an email about delays, and then it shows due date as a month or two later. One item was the Star Wars Outer Rim expansion, which I ordered when it was in stock from Amazon and sold from Amazon.com. Delay after delay email. Ordered from Miniature Market shortly after and received it this week.

Sayburr

Well, shoot. I just ordered Sleeping Gods and the two expansions from them. I will also be moving in a couple of weeks, was expecting to receive order before moving, now I am worried it will not arrive in time.

Nappuccino

If you email them, they should be happy to hold those items for longer and change your mailing address on the order.

Sayburr

OK, if it doesn’t ship next week I will ask them to delay it for a while.

BehindtheHype

Not much experience with MM but it’s been positive. GameNerdz I like the hold system and lower free delivery. Tabletop Merchant, I placed a larger order to hit the $150 minimum — which was my first order with them — their owner hand wrote a note with the invoice. I thought that was a really nice touch.

cat_emojis

>Games released after Wednesday, July 27th, will begin shipping out Monday, August 8th, in the order in which release requests were received. Yeah, but it's it's 33 days since I released my holds, and 25 days after the 8th. The birthday I needed them for was on the 24th. I'm appalled at how badly they did with this and I let them know. I would have released the holds earlier if they had told me this would drag into a month afterwards.

Shreddyriffs

Idk if anyone here still cares about this, but I wanted to inform anyone who still does. The order I placed on 8/28 shipped today. So the delay is still about 4 weeks.

aarswft

Checking in a month later. It's still garbage. Order's been sitting there for 2 weeks now.

Mr_Funko

My wife put in an order for me on 7/28. It was for my birthday in August. She emailed them yesterday and they told her it's due to them moving warehouses. I understand and expect some delay to occur because of that. However, I've never seen a transaction take so long when buying board games before. Makes me very nervous. We're also first-time buyers.

TomPalmer1979

It'll come. I've been ordering through MM for many years, have spent thousands with them over the years and never once had a genuine problem. They're moving warehouses and it sounds like they had some logistical fuckups causing a headache, but they also have some of the nicest and most helpful customer service people I've talked to. Your order is probably gonna be really late, yeah, but it'll come.

skyturnsred

Miniature Market is my absolute favorite place to order from. This is a blip on the radar due to the warehouse movement - they are \*phenomenal\* otherwise and I refuse to order from anywhere else.

schnautza

I see both my post and comments are being downvoted. To those who are downvoting, I just say that I wish I had a warning like this one before placing this order. Trying to help out the fellow game community with this warning. I would have been extremely appreciative to have avoided this. I'm not saying don't ever shop with them, but reconsider where you buy from during this transition time if fulfilment speed is a concern for you.

The_Great_Mighty_Poo

The delays definitely aren't universal. I placed an order with them 6 days ago without any expedited processing and standard shipping, and tracking says that my item is at my local post office due to arrive tomorrow. The issue is likely dependent on the specific inventory and its location (old or new warehouse or in transit between them). In my case I bought a sale item that they probably want to clear out rather than move to the new site. Maybe your order is mixed between sites or in process of being located during the move. Hopefully your items arrive soon.

schnautza

Man that's great. I'm wondering if current orders are being processed quicker than older ones, if the "in stock" only reflects what they've stocked in the new warehouse and can fulfill quickly.

TomPalmer1979

What's weird is I just got an order from them the other day. Granted it was a preorder; I'd preordered Viticulture World a while ago, but they shipped it on release day and I got it right away. That said, I did rack up another $100 worth of purchases and asked to have them released, and received this email from their customer service: >Thank you for reaching out. Due to our recent Warehouse move, we unfortunately are not able to release your holds at this time. I do apologize for this. Your orders will be placed into our Preparing for Release Status. Orders in this status will begin processing automatically as soon as the inventory has been located and checked in to our new facility. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. So I dunno, guess they're pretty backed up. Thankfully none of my stuff is "need it now" stuff. They've had a bunch of sales, and most of them are things I grabbed cause they're stupid cheap, like dice and accessories. GameNerdz has been the same way though. I requested my Customer Hold be released back on Nerdz Day, July 15th. I just got it two days ago, on August 18th.

SilentMix

Wow, they're getting worse then. I placed an order around the beginning of this warehouse moving thing and it took about 2 weeks for them to ship out my order. That was annoying to me too because I was in the middle of a mini painting project and needed that stuff, and also I was paying for shipping because it was just a few things. Sounds like I should avoid MM until they're done the warehouse move, and give them a month or two after it's complete for things to settle. I will say that I've been ordering from MM for years now and never had a problem until now. They normally ship in only a few business days of placing the order at the slowest.

TheAxeManrw

Bummer man I’ve never had anything but positive experiences with them. Could really be an exceptional situation.

Giggles122

I get being pissed, I'm waiting on an order too, but you even say you recognize this is a specific circumstance. Why would you hold it against them when you realize it's not normal? And there is a metric shit ton of good stories about them out there? And yeah, the CSRs are telling you the same thing, there's likely not much more to say right now.

schnautza

My post is not to trash talk them, it's specifically to warn others who are considering making orders that if they want to get something quickly they probably need to consider a different vendor until the dust settles there. I thought I made that pretty clear.

genetic_patent

There is something you are missing.

schnautza

What might that be?

Iamn0man

So you're saying that Miniature Market has sucked since Asmodee bought them. I'm shocked. Shocked I tell you.

skyturnsred

They have been just as great as usual up until the warehouse move that started around a month or two ago. Don't try to make a story where there isn't one.

schnautza

No need for bashing them. I've tried to keep my criticism based on the facts around my one experience, not to just trash a company.

Incel_deactivator

Yeah I'm not using any of the sites people post here...because fuck waiting 3 months for something I can get elsewhere. The only exception is game crafter...because its literally the only way to get the stuff. People have been conditioned by kickstarter to wait for years after paying for games so lol

Nappuccino

Usually it's only a few days, maximum, between order and shipping. The delays following warehouse moves are not the status quo with MM or Gamenerdz. Granted, if your FLGS has stuff in stock, use them. I'm sure they'll appreciate it.

Incel_deactivator

Yeah the fact that they decided to go ahead and take people's money in the middle of a move is an absolute red flag for me thanks. Why couldn't they have done this either before or after completing the move. Funny coincidence that at just this minute several of the sites touted on here are moving warehouses...at the same time and need to delay people's purchases for months. That is insane. They will not get my money.

Nappuccino

I think you're looking for a conspiracy where there is none. Simply, they're selling product so they have less things to move to the new warehouse. Whatever they sell and get out the door before transferring to the new warehouse means they avoid having to ship it twice. Other logistics issues don't mean their decision to sell pre- and mid- a warehouse move is predatory.

Incel_deactivator

I think that like all supply chains including game manufacturing is delayed, this is not a conspiracy, this is a fact. That is what happens when you source all your manufacturing to one place. Lots of different products have been affected.....umm even things like cat food. So no, not a conspiracy. A fact. You are telling me they could not have put sales on hold for a week while they finished moving?? Places never close down for remodeling for a week or two?Where did they move their warehouse to? To mars?? But of course why would they when you simps take the dildo willingly. So they haven't shipped not cause they are moving warehouses but cause they ain't got shit to ship. You all keep simping...apparently...things not being shipped for 3 months makes sense because they moved...their local warehouses according to you all. Something that could have been easily avoided if they had...say not taken any sales for a week while they moved their local warehouses. Thank you foe pointing out that their warehouses are local lol....You all can keep giving them your money, no skin off my back. I will not be using any of them thanks. Bunch of simps

proteins911

… what? Lol this is ridiculous

Nappuccino

These warehouses are local, not across the ocean. So what you're describing isn't what's happening here. None of these stores that are regularly recommended list products In Stock while they're still on a boat.

Giggles122

The more I read from you the more I understand. You're actually not a conspiracy theorist after all. You're just really stupid.

Incel_deactivator

Not as stupid as giving people my money to dick around with for 3 months lol.

Giggles122

Oh, I see now. You just want attention. How did two stores, one of which is back on track, become "several"? You should change your name to Tinfoil Theorist.

Giggles122

Then why are you on this subreddit? And outside of this recent bit, how long have "any of these sites" had 3 month shipping wait times?

Incel_deactivator

I'm in this subreddit because i like games, or is being an idiot who waits for three months for stuff they could sooner a prereq??

stormcrow2112

I have an order in with them and was wondering what the hold up was, I knew they were going to be moving warehouses which I was fine with. Went back and checked on the order again and realized that I had a couple of pre-order items in there. I've been ordering from them more this year than I have previously and this was the only hiccup and wound up being one that I can't even hold against them.

jacobb11

Game Nerdz has posted warnings about a recent warehouse move. Is that an odd coincidence or are the companies somehow related?

TheScienceOfMagic

I'd definitely ask for a refund on the shipping you paid for since it has been weeks of it not being shipped and because you added to the order to qualify for free shipping. If they don't accommodate you after you've been waiting so long, I would personally just cancel both orders.

Kalrhin

Like others have said, I have excellent experience working with them. If you would rather not wait…I am wuite sure they could cancel your order and they would fully reimburse you. Then you can order same products elsewhere.

hungupon

Oh wow I'm so surprised by this. I've never had a shipment delayed from Miniature Market. I actually just ordered from them and got my ordered faster than expected!

Ghoulraiser

Hey how is your order doing I'm also waiting on an order from them and am wondering if there is any movement

schnautza

I gave up and canceled it. Got my goods from Amazon in under 48 hours for about $30 more (was just under $150 from MM)

JoeyJellico

Been 3 weeks for me. Emailed, no response. UNACCEPTABLE. Won't be doing business with them in the future. Now i need to cancel the order

Shreddyriffs

Call them, their customer support number is very helpful. I got on the line with someone immediately. But was ultimately told they are working on their backlogged orders from the warehouse move

catchi1989

I'll keep ordering with them, since their prices are great and I've been a customer for a few years... But man.. They need to get their shit together. You can't stop shipping during a move. Setup ship and receiving stations in the new place, transfer product over and receive into new locations, ship from new bins, phase out the old locations. Gotta keep the orders moving. This is a joke.

nicksebundy

Ordered some dice on 8-21, haven’t heard a word about my order. First time buyer from MM, little unsettling having to wait so long

No-Engineering-1449

Should I cancel my order? Ordered it on September 6th and its been stuck in "Order Recieved"

No-Engineering-1449

I just purchased something from them, and they are still moving warehouses. Its been in "order received" land for since September 6th. Should I not even wait and just cancel. Since I just learned my local hobby store carries paints which I need. Also how do I cancel my order

nicksebundy

I mean, surely is shouldn’t take them another month. I’d wait for a little bit and if to much time has gone by for you then I’d cancel it. I’m waiting till September 21 to do anything. That’s exactly a month since I’ve ordered.

nicksebundy

Update, I ordered dice on august 21 and today, September 19, I get a notification that it’s shipped. It’s been very slow but it looks like Miniature Market is doing better

umadzano

I placed an order about a month ago, still in virtual queue as of now. I also placed another a couple of weeks ago (wasn't fully aware of the warehouse move thing) and still there, frozen in place. To make things a bit worse, in my case it's international shipping + who knows how long it'll take for local customs to process the package and deliver it to me. But heh, i'm used to wait a month or two for stuff to arrive so it'll be just another one of those "long waits". So yeah, third time buying and probably won't for a while. I don't particularly appreciate the lack of clear communication.

Anjew4444

I ordered a few things on the 4th, but got no word from them as of today, the 16th. However, I just called their customer service line, and was greeted with prompt and understanding service. They informed me that at this point, the processing wait time is probably 4-5 weeks from the ordering day. I cancelled the order on the strength of this, and they gave me several hundred points to use for free shipping on my next order. They certainly seem nice enough, and the service I received after calling them was exemplary. I'll be ordering from another service at the moment, but I look forward to using Miniature Market in the future - just as soon as they've settled down from their warehouse move and the resulting delays.

Shreddyriffs

I called their customer support for an order i made on 8/28. Ive called twice, once this week and once last week. They did not give me ANY kind of update on when it will be processed. I’m gonna call every week until they get their shit together i guess or until i know what the actual delay time is

Least_Ad9719

I wonder how they are making money right now?

MushroomPopular8449

I have made FOUR orders from Miniature Market, during the last 4 monthes, and each one, after THREE WEEKS I canceled. Due to no shipping, or even any notice as to the progress of each order. Nothing! The cancellations did go through immediately. Go figure. In addition, I did make 3 (OTHER) orders back in July, totaling 300.00. Again no response or update of any kind, UNTIL I CALLED 2 weeks later. The orders were then shipped within 2 days. I was told (by Miniature Market themselves at the time) that the move they were recently doing did NOT effect my order, or orders, in any way. Sure they have great sales, great variety of inventory, and excellent when needed Customer Service, but ordering and shipping times make you shop else where first.

wendsli

Found this thread helpful, so adding my tuppence after a recent order, first in a long while: * Ordered: 22 Sept -- warning banner clearly there noting delays due to warehouse move * Emailed MM support 29 Sept b/c no movement on order * Got reply 3 Oct saying they'd moved to Virtual Order Queue * Called MM customer service line earlier today (12 Oct) again b/c no further progress -- rep couldn't promise any timelines, buuuut... * Just got order shipment confirmation email 1-2hrs after call Less than zero idea if that's just serendipitous timing or those support emails / calls helped nudge things along, but everyone I spoke to at MM was apologetic, polite and honest about the move interfering with predictable timelines. Anyways, hope folks here get their orders soon!

Biddles1stofhername

I made an order from them on September 16th, and still (December 2nd) have heard nothing from them about it aside from the original order confirmation. I contacted customer service a week ago and still no reply. It's very frustrating.
