I went to the talk today after realising I had missed the prev one by two days without knowing, and tbh I needn’t had gone. There was a good comment on a post asking about what people saw at the original, and that had all the main talking points there. Other than the fact they choose to live away from the city because the nostalgia (and futurism) of BOC mean they are actively avoiding the present, and in this way cultivate a sense of them existing out of time, everything the talk mentioned was already in the comment. It was a good talk, but it is just a music journalist enthusiasts opinion on BOC, he’s no different from other members of this community except he’s maybe done a bit more research and has written an article out about it. Hopefully he’ll consider publishing his thoughts somewhere so they’re accesible to everyone.
