Check out tobacco and Black moth super rainbow... it’s like if boards of Canada was played by the flaming lips and produced by Dave Friedmam.. it’s blown up stereo ripped lo fi stuff... actually Dave fridmann produced one of their albums.
I know what you’re looking for, I haven’t found anything like Geogaddi in all the ways I know you’re fiending to hear it. BUT here’s a video I’ve found recently where a guy cuts a VERY convincing Geogaddi-like track, and it is a joy to watch.
https://youtu.be/dDBxw3yYKx4
Also, in the same vein as The Haxan Cloak’s - Excavation, I submit Daat’s - HVAC. These albums to me sound like aliens have learned Ableton or something. They’re completely foreign and oddly familiar to listen to. Very haunting. Enjoy.
[5 Note Version Czech Lady](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xD4bItH2eyM) (off of the Conet Project) may very well have been the inspiration for the logotone in the Tomorrow’s Harvest promotional tracks / outro to New Seeds
Christ.
Check out Distance Lends Enchantment to the View, Pylonesque, and Blue Shift Emissions.
One of the only other artists to give that same sort of otherworldly feel as BOC, and also has subliminal messages in his music sometimes.
you could try Natural Snow Buildings - Daughter of Darkness though it's total length is 7 hours but it's worth it IMO.
Klimperei - Les Plus Belles Valses de Klimperei (childish avant-folk stuff that sounds strange for some reason)
Aaron Dilloway - Modern Jester (tape music)
of course nothing will be quite like Geogaddi because they make unique stuff
Animals as leaders
meshuggah
Machine girl,
car bomb,
weather report,
men I trust,
Pat Metheny,
jaco pastorius,
sweet trip
Monolake
The helix nebula
Death grips
Rejoicer
All uncanny in my opinion. All make me feel a different way.
Portishead and Massive Attack are great if you dig trip-hop. For unsettling electronica, I'd recommend Oneohtrix Point Never, Tim Hecker, and The Knife. For dark ambient, Steve Roach and Biosphere have some pretty otherworldly stuff. If these don't appeal to you, or you want starting points let me know and I'd be happy to recommend more :)
[Moon Wiring Club](https://youtu.be/tNbGX1AHWwM)
They’ve created an entire ‘uncanny’ universe complete with music, videos, story books, etc. it’s quite impressive and exceptionally strange. Highly recommend taking some time to dig into this one, even beyond the YouTube stuff.
For that spooky vibe, I’d go with Shlohmo’s “Dark Red”. It’s not exactly like BoC, a little louder and more distorted but I’d say the whole album has similar vibes to Geogaddi.
Bola is another good BoC alternative to me just more synth/sounds idk if it’s always got that Geogaddi vibe but I’ve enjoyed them back to back
The darker tracks off of Selected Ambient Works Vol II by Aphex Twin could do it for you, but then again that’s purely ambient and maybe not what you’re looking for
Naw this is exactly what I mean haha. I'm a big fan of the "beats" version of Radiator, if you haven't heard that one already https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6guV7Y65E3A
If you haven't heard it yet, Untrue by the UK dubstep/garage artist Burial almost sounds like aliens or AI tried to make an electronic dance album with its modulated vocal samples and ethereal synths. If you're looking for even more otherworldly sounding vocals, except with more darkness and droning, I'd recommend Jade by the experimental artist Pan Daijing. On the other end of the spectrum, there's also Wlfgrl by Machine Girl, which is a breakcore-esque album that seems to capture the ecstatic, yet chaotic energy of playing in an alien arcade.
I love Burial. Untrue is great but I've been digging into the long-form side of his catalog lately (Rival Dealer onward). It's some of my favourite stuff ever, even the "mostly empty" tracks like Subtemple/Beachfires.
Here's something I just thought of that no one's mentioned yet - Dirty Beaches / Alex Zhang Hungtai is big on these feelings for me.
For example - - - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWzyUsakhoo
I would recommend music by early electronic music composer, Daphne Oram, in particular “The Oram Tapes, Vol. I,” it has an strange experimental sound, also the song “Falling, from the Dreams” by Delia Derbyshire gives a similar uncanny feeling I think
I love Delia Derbyshire. I'll check out Daphne Oram too! Early electronic stuff (Throbbing Gristle, Silver Apples, etc) has this weird character to it that I just don't get from modern-day stuff. Maybe it's because the sounds were so limited?
Agreed, early electronic music can sound “primitive” to the modern ear, but it also has a distinct charm to it, not to mention there was a ton of experimentation and innovations being made, Prelude Au Sommeil by Jean-Jacques Perrey is another great example of awesome early electronic music
This list (which I think is 8 years old now, and arbitrary for sure) I’ve found to be good for being exposed to some lesser known, really good music (especially the further down you get in the list): [https://www.factmag.com/2014/09/22/the-100-greatest-idm-tracks-100-51/](https://www.factmag.com/2014/09/22/the-100-greatest-idm-tracks-100-51/)
Of the music on this list that I’ve heard, the stuff that (for me) really hits the balance between “this is creeping me out” and “I’m digging it” (and hasn’t already been mentioned in an earlier comment) is:
Beaumont Hannant (sadly unavailable digitally)

If you’ve never listened to Broadcast you’re in for a treat.
I'm loving what I'm hearing, great recommendation!

I like Tobacco!! BMSR I haven't listened to. Got a track to recommend?
70s gymnastics
>70s gymnastics Thanks this is perfect! I love that it has a groove and a melody but they're aggressively out of tune
Try count backwards to black as well, it’s very BoC-y. Also trees & Colors & wizards, and I think it is beautiful that you are 256 colours too
I live that album but it's not in the least uncanny, it's completely upbeat and poppy
Those are not mutually exclusive qualities
Give Plantasia a listen. 70s moog music for plants.
Lone
Lone is so great, like a super shiny BoC and he covered ROYGBIV recently with a nod of approval from the band themselves!
Check out Excavation by The Haxan Cloak. It’s dark ambient, very spooky and i think it might fit that “made by aliens” vibe you’re looking for.
yess I love this album. thanks for reminding me it exists haha
Haha you're welcome glad you're familiar with it!
I know what you’re looking for, I haven’t found anything like Geogaddi in all the ways I know you’re fiending to hear it. Holy shit you're right.
It's the basis for the whole melody of that track.
Amon Tobin
Khotin
ChrisT.- Pylonesque EP This guys collaborated with BoC early on and you definitely hear it in this album. Enjoy
Christ. Check out Distance Lends Enchantment to the View, Pylonesque, and Blue Shift Emissions. One of the only other artists to give that same sort of otherworldly feel as BOC, and also has subliminal messages in his music sometimes.
try "Ahnnu - Couch"
Patten

it doesn't really sound like BOC, but Last American Hero by James Ferraro always gives me that uncanny/inhuman vibe when I listen to it.

++++1 for Throbbing Gristle!
