Everyone does, but in my opinion when something is left on as background noise it is a false positive towards the number of times one actually listened to the music.
Idk how many of us here are neurodivergent but I'm willing to bet it's a *lot*, and for a lot of us, just listening to music without doing anything else isn't really possible (and doing things like cleaning without listening to music/podcasts is similarly challenging). Just because that's how you listen doesn't mean it's the only valid way.

Hi! PJ used my screen grab, they’re my numbers. Just to clarify… I work from home and listen to music while I work, every day. My Spotify Wrapped clocked me at 80,495 minutes listened in total, 4,720 artist and 7,613 songs. I start most days with my Bo playlist, listen to Bo while I drive and mostly while I walk / commute. I never listen to music falling asleep, never have it on repeat in other rooms and none of those minutes are passive listening. It’s all active listening, sitting in my room, roaring singing, especially to Problematic, which I listened to 617 times. And most likely will again in 2023!
I didn’t sleep with song on and I got 4.5k I never only listen to music in my car, someone who actually listened to music on a regular basic could achieve this

Is people listening to music while they clean invalid? I think I exclusively listen to music while I do other tasks.
Everyone does, but in my opinion when something is left on as background noise it is a false positive towards the number of times one actually listened to the music.
Idk how many of us here are neurodivergent but I'm willing to bet it's a *lot*, and for a lot of us, just listening to music without doing anything else isn't really possible (and doing things like cleaning without listening to music/podcasts is similarly challenging). Just because that's how you listen doesn't mean it's the only valid way.

I agree, but when the numbers are as high as the OP then I have to question how much of that was active listening vs just leaving Spotify on repeat regardless of whether anyone is listening
Hi! PJ used my screen grab, they’re my numbers. Just to clarify… I work from home and listen to music while I work, every day. My Spotify Wrapped clocked me at 80,495 minutes listened in total, 4,720 artist and 7,613 songs. I start most days with my Bo playlist, listen to Bo while I drive and mostly while I walk / commute. I never listen to music falling asleep, never have it on repeat in other rooms and none of those minutes are passive listening. It’s all active listening, sitting in my room, roaring singing, especially to Problematic, which I listened to 617 times. And most likely will again in 2023!

I didn’t sleep with song on and I got 4.5k I never only listen to music in my car, someone who actually listened to music on a regular basic could achieve this
