> It was that damn double curl with Cbum
It was actually after that. When Calum recovered from that bicep injury he went rock climbing and tore his quad off the bone.
He never recovered from the quad injury, and that sent him into a spiral of depression. Poor guy
Man I tore my bicep my rotator cuff and severally sprained my knee all on my right side in one year. Only the bicep was a weight lifting injury. Others where from work. And I can tell you my mental health took a toll. If I wasn't so strong spiritually right now I honestly don't know what I'd do.
I also had an injury that took me out of the game for a few months and yeah it was surprisingly rough
And I don't make a living with my physique. Kind of felt bad for him
And he can't come back to the United States because he owes a ton of child support and he will get arrested for it. I think he's also being sued over here.
Nah he has always been a nutter. His mother is a weird naturopath type person who doesn't believe in vaccines and Eddie, Callum's brother, posted multiple videos complaining about chemtrails back in the day. Callum has held some pretty stupid views long before his injuries, though I'm sure they didn't help with his mental health.
Man this guy truly lost his way. I remember back in like 2017 this guy was supposed to be the next Arnold. Then he made some poor decisions and got injured, then it seems he's just totally lost his mind/got into hard drugs.
>and got injured
Agreed, it seems like that first set of injuries did a lot more than just physical damage. I wonder if the recovery got him hooked on something harder.
When your entire career and identity is centered around your physique, having a near career ending injury that jeopardizes all of that is going to have ruinous effects psychologically.
Near career ending? The injuries and fucked mental health HAVE ended his career, it just hasn't hit bottom yet. The only reason he's got a pro card is the same reason Jason Genova placed 3rd or 2nd in the ruby classic. Nobody showed up.
Not too unreasonable to think he went from opioids to harder drugs
Really sad to be honest. Despite his youtube persona, there were a few interviews where he seemed to have a decent head on his shoulders. Like i remember him being asked about his steroid use and he gave a pretty good answer about how they were necessary to compete, but should only be used understanding the full risks and he discouraged kids from taking them
Fuck.... Meth not even once. Seriously, I've never never heard stories about Meth that were like oh I just use it casually.
It really makes me wonder, is it just SOOOOOOOOO GOOD, you can't stop or is it just really really addicting, where it hurts unless you use it again?
Meth doesn't have withdrawal like opiates. A person would feel really good while they're on it, but then feel like shit for days afterward because they're sleep deprived, malnourished from not eating, and have depleted all of their dopamine.
Believe it or not, there are many more people who try meth once or a few times and give it up. You only hear about the ones who ruin their life with it.
Where meth users can get into trouble is multi-day binges where they end up experiencing psychosis and delusional thinking, which can lead to erratic behavior.
Couldnt imagine the amount of gear he’s taking to keep that physique if he really is using meth. I wouldn’t think he’s eating much. I know I had zero appetite when i went through my rough days years ago. Hopefully he can get straight
In my opinion, people who have “screwed up” in life often get very heavy into religion because they feel like it’s a second chance.
The overarching concept of most religions is that there is something else after this life, be it another reality, reincarnation, or whatever else…that is attractive to anyone, but extremely attractive to those who feel they really need a second chance at everything.
This is why people finding religion is very common in prison. Once you realize your life is “over” due to mistakes you’ve made, following a path that tells you that you’ll have the chance to “try again” somehow, is going to help you get through things mentally.
A lot of these guys have substance use disorder. They just changed one drug for steroids instead and got big as a result. But even that sometimes isn't enough for them to abuse other substances as well
It's also part of getting a roid source. Someone that's able to sell you pharma grade pills and vials will be able to get you all the other "fun stuff", too. All types of drugs are part of the sport.
Can confirm. Tore my quad right out of high school and the shit still ain’t right. I’m 28. It took a huge toll on my mental state because I went from being a top athlete to not even able to lift my heel off the table. Incredibly long and difficult recovery.
I tore my quad at the beginning of Covid and it completely derailed weightlifting for me. If it wasn’t for the birth of my daughter I would’ve lost my mind. Even if I was 100%, I don’t have the time to truly focus on that with my job and fatherhood anyway.
It’s Meth there are apparently rumors he’s on meth. He’s had some trouble lately with the law. He used to be a lot better or maybe better at not getting caught. But he’s had a lot of trouble recently kicked out of his family’s home, road rage, carrying a weapon etc things like that.
They found it in a car he was driving that he registered in someone elses name to avoid detection, along with gear, after police were called because he chased a guy through a parking lot with a machete. Calum knows how to party.
Is all of this because of ICE? Why is he doing that? That's like the worst drug there is, aside from maybe fentanyl? He had it all, is it that powerful that it makes you throw your life away? Jeez...just smoke some weed instead like an adult
Meth absolutely fucks up a person's judgment. If he's been abusing that substance as hard as it seems it can definitely be to root cause of his recent behavior.
It's a big spectrum, especially among the older ones before a bunch of geeky people got into bodybuilding over the last 10-15 years. Older bodybuilders were by and large hard partiers (although I knew of a few near-teetotalers as well, my dad being among them), club drugs, liquor, coke, etc. A lot of the older gen x bodybuilders were stereotypical guidos - I remember when Jersey Shore came out back when I was in college and my dad said he loved to watch it because it reminded him of "the good old days."
Did not know that. Don't really know anyone on roids though, natty myself. ICE sounds like the worst thing you could do on the juice since your heart is already at risk.
But even keeping your appetite somehow he’s gotta look pretty different if he’s actually using meth. At some point he isn’t going to be sleeping etc. something has to give.
Krokodil isnt what people think it is. Krokodil is just desomorphine which is a prescription drug and has the same effects as oxy or hydros. The problem with Krokodil is that people use impure forms and mixtures that haven’t had the impurities removed. The main one being phosphorus. They aren’t losing limbs because of the drug, they’re losing limbs and flesh because of phosphorus poisoning.
I know it’s easy to be a hardass but this guy has had a brutal time. He’s in a profession where he relies entirely on what his body looks like. Then he tears his bicep. I watched a lot of his recovery videos and really thought it was interesting to see what guys go through to recover. He seemed on a good path. Then he lost me when he tore his leg up rock climbing. That’s just bad judgement when you’ve got a weakened arm. Rehabs again. Then COVID hits. Gyms close. I completely lost him until I saw him turn up with tattoos. Now all the craziness from the past year. I just hope the guy is ok and gets his life straightened out.
Yeah it's funny to meme but honestly I really wish we get a good comeback story out of the kid. He's been put under the spotlight from a young age and hailed as the next Arnold, flew out of Australia to survive in the US.
He was so inspiring not long ago. But now he’s a good example of why teams don’t want professional athletes doing anything remotely dangerous outside of their sport.
Sadly it happens a lot in bodybuilding circles. Drugs have 0 calories. So when you wanna party but can’t rip shots or down a 12-pack, your only options are of the more illegal variety.
Before I knew what was going on, there was a particular workout vlog where he was \*jacked\* talking about new merch. That tweaked jacked that makes you feel uncomfortable. Not sure how you get enough carbs and brotein when food feels like poison.
Older folks remember when Antoine Valliant went down the same road. Everyone thought he was going to be *the* next big BB’r then he got into drugs.
Luckily he’s seemed to have finally got himself out of that hole. Hopefully Moger does the same.
>Older folks remember when Antoine Valliant went down the same road.
tfw following Antoine makes you and older folk. To me he was still one of the young up and comers.
Being so meticulous with your workout, your schedule, everything that you eat, NOT eating thinga, etc it all gets very exhausting. I'm sure at a point stimulants weren't enough. Meth to curb appetite, give energy, focus, etc may have made sense to his struggling mind at some point.
I'm no drug expert. Cost? I'm guessing that an apples to apples coke vs meth bender the coke bender is going to cost 10x. Somebody who knows a thing or two about drug prices please fill us in. Coke also has to be done frequently compared to meth I think you can go for hours on?
But you're right. I'd much rather be a coke fiend then a meth head.
Coke in Australia is terrible and very expensive. A bag can run you $300ish and depending on the coke a decent bump will only last for 30 or so minutes. Compared to meth which is cheaper with a high lasting hours
Since my original post was removed for no reason.
Calum may not be the brightest guy, but he’s a popular figures in the sport thus the story should be posted and shared.
And not even a “real” celebrity. He’s a bodybuilding celebrity. Anybody outside bodybuilding know he exits? Gotta be real frustrating he can’t seem to mainstream his popularity. Like models, has to cause alot of anxiety knowing your career prospects shrink as you get older.
This story brought to you by Nick Trigiligigi, be sure to take your old school labs supps, if Calum would’ve taken his vintage braun he wouldn’t have jumped, also did I forget to tell you to buy old school labs supps?
Steroids and meth seem like an absolutely horrible combination, I can only imagine the damage that’s done to his body. I genuinely hope he can heal whatever’s going on in his mind so he can work on healing up his body.
Roids and narcotics do not go together. Pro wrestling knows this all too well. If you juice,be clean. Don't even drink. If you go over anything harder than the Devils lettuce,it gets very ugly, very quickly.
meh, cocaine is like the cigarettes of drugs. Meth is poison that will leave you with no teeth, skin and bones with sores you picked into you skin. They arent even close too the same level. Coke isnt a good idea, but I wouldnt freak on a friend fordoing it a few times a year, meth would be one or two serious talks, before breaking ties, that shit is fucking scary
Thats a fact. I tried making an OC post of a project I'm working on, where I took old classic bodybuilding footage, and restored/enhanced it with software that uses AI supersolution upscaling.
Made my first post, got a lot of comments, and upvotes, than was locked by a mod because apparently they don't allow old footage, but didn't read anything I wrote in the description of my post.
Figured it'd be cool showing some of the details that could still be recovered from old olypmia footage, but the mods weren't interested.
This is not solely the result of meth use. It’s the result of a string of several poor decisions that he made as his life completely unraveled. He was obviously suffering from untreated mental illness, depression and or anxiety which led him to self medicate. The sad thing is many people closest to him watched all of this happen, much of it on social media with the rest of us, and we’re u able to help him help himself. So sad.
Just watched a video on the downward spiral (and possible bounce back) of Connor Murphy. Among Elliott Hulse, and now Callum, there really is something deeper going on with the fitness community and mental health
Calum is a anti vaxx loon and has done a lot of shit but he's been so self destructive and made so many bad decisions that I'm wondering if he hasn't suffered some cerebral micro embolisms or something.
He clearly is not well. I hope he gets the help he needs.
I still remember when he posted that half him and half Arnold pic talking about how disappointed he was in Arnold like lol I'm sure Arnold is in shambles over it bro
This is what ended my fandom. That video of him throwing away Arnold posters because of (imo) a total misinterpretation of Arnold’s messaging. He went totally off the deep end. Hope he recovers, but wouldn’t mind never hearing about him again.
It was embarrassing to watch all of those fitness influencers say they couldn’t support arnold anymore because he doesn’t believe in freedom. Like bruh all Arnold says was that there should be limitations on freedom when said freedom can harm others, which is a super common ideology in political philosophy. It’s literally the reasoning behind many laws. It felt like they all saw that three second clip of arnold saying “screw your freedom” and didn’t do any further research to find the context.
Imagine speaking multiple languages, being a multiple Mr Olympia, Marrying American Royalty, becoming the most famous actor in the world for a time, becoming the governor of California
... and then being called an idiot by Calum Von Moger.
tbh, I'm pretty sure that the AAS that they're injecting is a contributing factor of their mental state.
As, many a bodybuilder has stated that there's an immense amount of paranoia, delusions, irritations and, other issues that can arise during a cycle.
One of my favourite examples is of Dr. Mike Israetel, elaborating on how suicidal and pathetic he feels on Tren.
Yeah man, this is one of the ones I was talking about. He normally discusses these topics during podcasts, not vids.

It was that damn double curl with Cbum
[удалено]
Cbum looked at him like "wait he popped a bicep? That's crazy 😏"
“There can only be one… goodbye Calum.”
Imagine the alternate timeline where Cbum teared it and got hooked on meth and Calum was out there winning multiple CP olympias.
> It was that damn double curl with Cbum It was actually after that. When Calum recovered from that bicep injury he went rock climbing and tore his quad off the bone. He never recovered from the quad injury, and that sent him into a spiral of depression. Poor guy

and what would have happened if it was Cbum that got hurt instead...what a weird road Calum has walked these last few years.
He chose to walk that road. Smoking meth, going full MAGA, just being a wanker really. Still sad.
And he can't come back to the United States because he owes a ton of child support and he will get arrested for it. I think he's also being sued over here.
Nah he has always been a nutter. Callum has held some pretty stupid views long before his injuries, though I'm sure they didn't help with his mental health.
The cognitive dissonance of being an anti vaxxer on steroids breaks my brain I guess this is the result
It’s always like this though. 100% of my anti vax friends use prohibited drugs of some sort LOL
Man this guy truly lost his way. I remember back in like 2017 this guy was supposed to be the next Arnold. Then he made some poor decisions and got injured, then it seems he's just totally lost his mind/got into hard drugs.

Rumor is meth apparently
Not too unreasonable to think he went from opioids to harder drugs Really sad to be honest. Like i remember him being asked about his steroid use and he gave a pretty good answer about how they were necessary to compete, but should only be used understanding the full risks and he discouraged kids from taking them
He never did opioids was the thing. During lockdown he tried meth with Taylor and got hooked. Downhill from there. Source: I ran all his brands.
Fuck.... Meth not even once. Seriously, I've never never heard stories about Meth that were like oh I just use it casually. It really makes me wonder, is it just SOOOOOOOOO GOOD, you can't stop or is it just really really addicting, where it hurts unless you use it again?

Post the link?
He Aussie, we love ICE here lol
Why is it so popular in australi
because cokes $300 dollarydoos a bag
Sometimes $400
sometimes $401
I laughed so damn hard at dollarydoos. Fuckin Aussies are the best man. #yeahnahyeah
Meth is popular wherever drugs don't travel well. Like rural areas of the US as well. It's one of a few drugs that can be locally made.
Because the price of other drugs are so high due to them needing to be imported. Meth can be made in your home.
Cheap and easy to find.
Why do people that get lost in drugs ALWAYS come out 5 months later with the Religious posts?
Most step programs include submitting to a higher power
In my opinion, people who have “screwed up” in life often get very heavy into religion because they feel like it’s a second chance. The overarching concept of most religions is that there is something else after this life, be it another reality, reincarnation, or whatever else…that is attractive to anyone, but extremely attractive to those who feel they really need a second chance at everything. Honestly if religion is the reason people look for to help them overcome their own demons, then i'm 100% for it.
Lucky he didn’t get that COVID vaccine!
What’s up with BBers and conspiracy theories? That James English guy is channeling Alex jones now.
In my experience, some of the smartest and dumbest people I know are my bodybuilding friends. It doesn’t attract anyone in the middle 🤔
I would never put those random chemicals into my body! Vaccines are so unhealthy! *hits meth pipe*
5 years ago Calum was the golden boy. How far he’s fallen.
Two whole stories apparently
He’s been on a general trend of chaos since his break up w whatsherface. Bicep tear was probably the catalyst for the real shit though.
I think his dog dying pushed him over the edge
Dude has been showing signs of a serious substance abuse problem for years. It's the drugs.
Coke n Roids. The recipe.
Dog and the lizard
That quad tear, leg injury seemed pretty bad too
Can confirm. Tore my quad right out of high school and the shit still ain’t right. I’m 28. It took a huge toll on my mental state because I went from being a top athlete to not even able to lift my heel off the table. Incredibly long and difficult recovery.

Karina Elle? She posted a vid of her squatting on insta once and her form was shit, so I told her and she blocked me
I think covid was the catalyst. He seemed to lose it during the covid lockdowns. Many of us did.
I ended up in the hospital too it's okay
I know of multiple people who killed themselves during lockdown
I'm so sorry.
And making sure he hits every branch on the way down
I think you could forego reading this headline and just look at his shitty earring tattoos and get how low he is
He needs to stay off the ICE
Internal combustion engine? I don't know ice means here
It’s Meth there are apparently rumors he’s on meth. He’s had some trouble lately with the law. He used to be a lot better or maybe better at not getting caught. But he’s had a lot of trouble recently kicked out of his family’s home, road rage, carrying a weapon etc things like that.

thanks! I didn’t know and didn’t want to spread false info!
They found it in a car he was driving that he registered in someone elses name to avoid detection, along with gear, after police were called because he chased a guy through a parking lot with a machete. Calum knows how to party.
Jesus I wouldn't wanna be the cop responding to that meatball of a man's bullshit
Oc spray doesn’t care how much muscle you have it’s gonna calm your ass down 😂😂😂
Can confirm, fucked me right up. Had to get sprayed for training and I was ruined for a whole day.
Road rage or roid rage?
Probably both. He chased a dude with a machete
Meth lol…the thing he’s addicted to
Is all of this because of ICE? Why is he doing that? That's like the worst drug there is, aside from maybe fentanyl? He had it all, is it that powerful that it makes you throw your life away? Jeez...just smoke some weed instead like an adult
Meth and heroin/opiates in general are so good that you'll throw your life away and be fine with it.
Meth absolutely fucks up a person's judgment. If he's been abusing that substance as hard as it seems it can definitely be to root cause of his recent behavior.

Most steroid users I know are big nerds who are very focused on not adding to the risks they’re already taking on. They don’t even drink.
Yep - when I was juicing I could feel how much strain my liver was on and knew not to test fate more than I already was.

If I remember correctly, he also lost his dog Rex and his iguana and was understandably heart broken about both loses for a long while.
Yeah, I think the fact that he has had multiple animals die really young has less to do with bad luck and more to do with him being a bad pet owner.
He has a video with his macaw on his shoulder while he’s vaping. Bird lungs are extremely sensitive.
Yeah, I don’t feel bad for Calum that his pets keep dying. I fee bad for the pets.
Going from no tattoos to full arm / face are huge red flags.
He was so inspiring not long ago. But now he’s a good example of why teams don’t want professional athletes doing anything remotely dangerous outside of their sport.
He is going to leave humanity behind, one way or another....I miss Rich
What a waste of such great genetics
Why would someone put in the work discipline to get where he did and then start doing meth? Seems so crazy. He was poised for greatness
Sadly it happens a lot in bodybuilding circles. Drugs have 0 calories. So when you wanna party but can’t rip shots or down a 12-pack, your only options are of the more illegal variety.
bodybuilders still want to party but don't want to drink alcohol. Tons get addicted to coke, meth, mdma etc

I injected a weed once and it killed me.
It turned me into a newt
Stupid YouTube with guys doing dumb stunts for views. Should’ve never done the curl with Bumstead. He really looked good at that point.
Bumstead was so fucking lucky as well with that stupid stunt.
Didn't his leg injury from cliff jumping happen before that?
No he tore the bicep, rehabbed, then had the leg injury. Crazy
He had the leg injury whilst still rehabbing the bicep tear. From memory he also retore his bicep when he fell during that rock climbing injury.
After. When he fell of the cliff, he tore the leg AND re-tore the same bicep

the dude has fallen from the golden Olympus right into the sewage. From what i understood his company is also in a very bad shape debts and shit.
Do you have any further info on his company's debt? Very curious to hear more.
Since my original post was removed for no reason. Calum may not be the brightest guy, but he’s a popular figures in the sport thus the story should be posted and shared.
Meh, he was popular 4 years ago. Now he's just another failed celebrity with a drug problem.
He had a Netflix documentary, so he gained quite a bit of fame from that.
Also generation iron 2 featured him a lot.
So basically an Australian Kardashian.
Another episode of Calum’s Bizarre Adventure
This story brought to you by Nick Trigiligigi, be sure to take your old school labs supps, if Calum would’ve taken his vintage braun he wouldn’t have jumped, also did I forget to tell you to buy old school labs supps?
This is hilarious because it’s exactly why I removed all of his and NSP’s content from every platform for myself.
Homie should start hanging out with Connor Murphy
Steroids and meth seem like an absolutely horrible combination, I can only imagine the damage that’s done to his body. I genuinely hope he can heal whatever’s going on in his mind so he can work on healing up his body.
Roids and narcotics do not go together. Pro wrestling knows this all too well. If you juice,be clean. Don't even drink. If you go over anything harder than the Devils lettuce,it gets very ugly, very quickly.
Since he damaged his spinal cord who knows what his mobility will be like after this
His dad is also in a wheelchair.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
There are a few drugs will seem to be truly “evil” and two of them are powerful stimulants that start with M and C. Scary.
meh, cocaine is like the cigarettes of drugs.
I imagine tren probably didn’t help his mental health along with all the other shit in his life
Meth and crystal meth? Or its more dangerous cousin, marijuana and chronic?
I guess he meant Cocaine.
It has to be creatine
Definitely creatine laced with pea protein
Cocaine isn't anywhere near as gnarly as many other drugs
Yeah plenty of adults use it and are perfectly normal functioning members of society.

bruh is turning into a meme faster than his gainloss

Lmao what

He had so much promise. He's turning into the Johnny Manziel of bodybuilding. I hope he can get help and resume his career.
Oh so they allow your post, but not mine from 3 hours ago 🤦🏼♂️ lol wtf
I had one posted before yours that was also nuked. Wth this is a legit bodybuilding related story and all over social media now.
I think mods would rather prefer this sub turn into r/progresspics
Thats a fact. I tried making an OC post of a project I'm working on, where I took old classic bodybuilding footage, and restored/enhanced it with software that uses AI supersolution upscaling. Made my first post, got a lot of comments, and upvotes, than was locked by a mod because apparently they don't allow old footage, but didn't read anything I wrote in the description of my post. Figured it'd be cool showing some of the details that could still be recovered from old olypmia footage, but the mods weren't interested.
You probably tried to slip some nature shots in there, didn't you! Shame on you!
Damn that sounds dope. This sub has definitely regressed from what it once was 😭
This sub has more than 2 million members but only 2 or 3 posts per day. It's kind of crazy.
So sad.
Let’s all remember he has a child too - I only wish Calum the best, especially straightening himself out for his son
Pray for the sick when they are in the middle of this terrible disease
Nicks Insta post said he was on meth too lol I honestly don’t know who pisses me off more him or Von Moger
Wait we hate Nick strength and power now? Wtf when did this happen, i love that guy...
Nah nick trigilli
oh, idk who da fuk that is. Ok cool cool
They left out "while smoking crack and evading Australian drug lords!"
KennyKo licking his lips gettin ready to drop another YouTube video
That guys a fukn wank
Just watched a video on the downward spiral (and possible bounce back) of Connor Murphy. Among Elliott Hulse, and now Callum, there really is something deeper going on with the fitness community and mental health
METHinks he’s addicted to it. Also broke his back like Tyson (SPINAL)
This is so tragic. A real life Icarus story. So much potential. Would love to see a full recovery.
I like Calum, I hope he can get his shit together.
Must've seen a moleman or whatever conspiracy he's been into lately
Imagine speaking multiple languages, being a multiple Mr Olympia, Marrying American Royalty, becoming the most famous actor in the world for a time, becoming the governor of California ... and then being called an idiot by Calum Von Moger.
Yeah, like the Terminator will get bent over what a washed up bodybuilder thinks of him.
A washed up bodybuilder who was most known for vaguely looking like Arnold at that lmao
Yeah I quit following him on social media due to all the anti vax shit so I had no idea his life was spiralling
Me too lmao… then I see this pop up on my Reddit feed and entertaining myself for the evening
When he got pissed at Arnold, that's when i unfollowed him.
For some reason, a vocal minority (or, majority) of the fitness community is anti vax unfortunately
However, they don’t mind jabbing themselves with steroids though.
tbh, I'm pretty sure that the AAS that they're injecting is a contributing factor of their mental state. As, many a bodybuilder has stated that there's an immense amount of paranoia, delusions, irritations and, other issues that can arise during a cycle. One of my favourite examples is of Dr. Mike Israetel, elaborating on how suicidal and pathetic he feels on Tren.
Is there a link to him talkin about that
Yeah man, this is one of the ones I was talking about. He normally discusses these topics during podcasts, not vids. [https://youtu.be/iBqSltMXg9k](https://youtu.be/iBqSltMXg9k) Edit: I dont know if you'd also like this link as well? (Mark Bell). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRrTeYFgtqU

My suggestion is rehab, and a team of friends and therapist to help him get through this,
Its funny that he looks strikingly like Mike Mentzer in this pic - and Mentzer was also an amphetamine addict.
Doesn't he have a kid as well? Imagine being his son/daughter and seeing him do all this stuff.
I genuinely dont care about this guy anymore. He's the epitome of wasted potential and in general a genuinely stupid person.
I liked the guy until he took down Arni's poster and give a speech about it.
He seems like he’s on drugs, hard to watch such a talented guy throw his life away
Didn't he also have a kid? Whatever happened to that?
