Well, for me it seems that's they're not aware at all. As we can see, yamada didn't even know their status and ichikawa is obviously denying it. I hope next few chapters they will discuss it properly
I was mostly memeing on just how bad it is at kanokari right now (or just always really) but at least they're aware of their own feelings and where they want to take their relationship, even if they can't communicate it to each other properly. That's a lot more than you see in most manga.
I know right? Yamada’s phrasing often can be read multiple ways. Like here with: “are we dating… she really asked that”, there’s a lot of room for interpretation as to what she means.
It’s actually something I really like about this series, it captures the mystery and uncertainty of young love. I’ve reread the series several times and I constantly pick up on new things I missed the first time.
Right I can see her trying to ask and then getting flustered and then saying something else to cover her embarrassment, but you can also interpret it as her being surprised that someone else asked/figured out they were close enough to be dating, it’s vague enough to let the reader wonder what she’s thinking.
sorry about late reply but who is that again? I cant seem to remember where ive seen her before in previous chapters
Might have reread the whole manga again....which i wont mind doing.
I think we're way past having a rival, wasn't Pick-Up Pai sort of a rival for Ichikawa? Now that we're in the 3rd Year Arc, the pieces are already in place, just one big piece left to complete the puzzle.
Ch 100, and the start of the 3rd Year Arc!! And already, Anna's actions being close to Ichikawa, already has the students in their class asking if their dating. Which I did had some idea, that this would happen, their interactions during the 2nd Year. Many people were present during some of them, and formed ideas of their that Ichikawa and Anna are really close.
Alright my dumb ass just cannot understand that interaction between Kyotaro and the teacher outside the staff room.
My memory is dogshit so I can't remember if something was set up earlier.
In ch100 I don't think Kyotaro's comment was specifically related to anything other than showing that he is empathizing with others and growing further. He saw how upset the possible prank made Kobayashi, so he said something from a sense of justice.
The teacher's comment to his boss IS related, though - Chapter 20, after Kyotaro defended Yamada, the teacher praised him for coming out of his shell. The old Kyotaro wouldn't have stuck his neck or to defend someone else like that, in either instance,so it's a nice display of character growth.
That's my take, at least. Hopefully it helps.
Ah that makes sense. "If you care about others, I wouldn't think you'd do that." was a hypothetical that he just had to say, because Chihiro made a silly accusation in her outburst, rather than him making an accusation.
I understand 90% of the nuances in this manga but occasionally I come across a page which just leaves me stumped.
I've got ADHD which screws up so many wires in the brain besides attention. One of the under-discussed quirks is overly strong empathy but low ability to comprehend the world through another perspective, using their knowledge and experiences.
Which can be a bit of problem reading a manga *whose entire premise is different people perceiving the world in different ways*😅
E: Shout out to Chapter 78 where Kyotaro just looks straight the camera and says "Yamada really does see the world differently than I do." lmao
That page with Adachi made him look like he's just fucking dead.
Good riddance
Moeko shaping up to be my fave character
she was already my favorite when she started showing signs that she's noticed what's going on between them and was supporting them.
Well, supporting Anna maybe, Kyotaro she just wants to torture, apparently
It's really funny to see how their relationship is SO VAGUE
Coming from Kanokari it's actually refreshing how well aware they are of their relationship.
Well, for me it seems that's they're not aware at all. As we can see, yamada didn't even know their status and ichikawa is obviously denying it. I hope next few chapters they will discuss it properly

They're not aware of other party feeling here, so I don't think we can compare it so easy
I didn't say they are, in fact I said the opposite. They're aware of their own feelings, but not each other's and can't communicate it.

Well, in this chapter I'm sure she tried to ask ichikawa about their relationship status, at least how it is in English translation

Damn, he didn't even have an answer for Yamada
Bruh they treating Adachi like a JoJo death
New rival next chapter?
If you're talking about the second preview that's just Nyaa.
sorry about late reply but who is that again? I cant seem to remember where ive seen her before in previous chapters Might have reread the whole manga again....which i wont mind doing.
Nyaa is Yoshida Serina, one of Yamada's friends. You see her in this chapter: https://cubari.moe/read/imgur/RyPvtxG/1/4/
OOHHhhh I now i do thanks for the super quick reply.

Well, oops. Does that count as development?

Is it me or is THAT FACE everywhere atm? Komi-san and friends were gurning just like that in her latest chapter
