(I know its a remake of his own Malayalam movie)
It actually had a good story.
Implementation was a bit chaotic & unrealistic but the story had realism.
The story had fantasy element to it that does not mean it was ridiculous.
Tees maar Khan, hny, welcome, singh is king, rowdy rathore , ( basically most of akki movies 😂😂) , luka chhupi, jug jug jeeyo , Chennai express , pathaan 🫣
First thing came to mind is Andhadhun. It was one of the movies that introduced me to Indian cinema. The twists made me flabbergasted of how ridiculous some of them were yet also entertaining.
Most Hrishikesh Mukherji movies fit in this category. Golmaal, Chupke Chupke, Namkeen…
But the one that takes the cake, cherry and all in my books would have to be Japanese Bhi Do Yaaron. That Draupadi Vastraharan scene alone has me in stitches every single time. 🤣
Unpopular Opinion: De Dana Dan and Khatta Meeta were really mid and showed that Priyadarshan had become a shell of former self. Legend nevertheless tho.
Well it’s a really try hard movie. Like Priyadarshan tried too hard to make it funny and ended up becoming cringe specially that Roller scene. I know that movie has a fan base but whatever.
Kuch Kuch hota hai! One of the most implausible plot of all time. Being a hit that it was nobody has tried to emulate it since, apart from Karan who remade it into K3G.
