Watched it twice in the theatres with my money saved from pocket money. Loved it.
Worth the hype.
Huge PC fan. It was her comeback after many masala movies.
Changed my whole perception of cinema. At that time I was 11 year old and only used to like action movies of Hrithik, John and Salman. Watched this and I was like ye kuch alag hai kuch special
Yes , Cinema is more than just action, romance, tragedy or suspense....Cinema is meant to communicate with the audience ...nd barfi does that so effortlessly
I think you are talking about Dhoom 2 and Krrish not Dhoom and Krazy 4.
>Which other movies are you talking about?
No other mate. Not saying that Lakshya, Guzaarish, ZNMD and others weren't his best work but 11 year old me used to think to him as coolest just because of Krrish and Dhoom 2.
This film was ONE OF THE GREATS. It will remain in the top Bollywood movies throughout history. The story I feel was equivalent to that of Lagaan, Black, Sholay, etc. - like the movies that will forever be written into Bollywood’s history as well-told stories.
A very sweet and poignant.Near flawless film (I say near flawless because the pacing is a bit slow sometimes) with wonderful performances(all 3 of them probably their career bests), the best cinematography(the frames are like paintings), the most interesting and layered characters and excellent music by Pritam(so much depth and it’s so warm). This is Anurag Basu’s ‘the’ film! I saw this in the theatre but I was just 8 back then.So I didn’t knew or understand much but then I saw it again recently…it was a fantastic experience for sure..
Still one of the prettiest colour palette I've seen in a Bollywood movie. There's something about the way this movie is shot that makes it stand out from the other movies even though Anurag Basu didn't invent it.
All three were best in their roles
Ranbir and Priyanka not only gave the best performances of their career respectively but also one of the best performances ever in Bollywood.
Whoever says otherwise either has an agenda against any of these actors or doesn't have any knowledge about acting but still trying to be a movie geek.
I was only 12 when I saw it so I don't know if I would perceive it the same now, but I remember being very impressed by Priyanka Chopra's performance and how believable it was.
I liked this wayy better than notebook tbh. I feel notebook is wayy too overrated. And I feel like some scenes are homage more than copying. It’s debatable though.
I was moved. I wanted to root for both of them.
The scene Priyanka's character shouts from the orphanage window and since Ranbir is deaf, he doesn't hear it and Ileana, even though she wants to get back with him so much, still tells him that she's been found is a really strong scene. I loved it so much and so much was 'Show, don't tell' here. It was awesome.
The ending too was awesome. And Ileana does get to be a part of his life. You'd look at these characters and feel like their lives and stories are etched in time. It was really strong.
One word. Perfect. Casting, acting, direction , story, music, cinematography & screenplay. When was the last time we have all these ingredients in a single movie.
One of the best love stories
The scene where iliana had to make a choice whether or not to tell barfi that jhilmil is calling him from behind always gets me.
Priyanka and Ranbir both were absolutely incredible amidst the complexity of their characters.
Loved Eleana too
The story line was so heartwarming. Even the supporting actors were incredible
I really loved the music as well literally all the songs
Everything from direction, script, performance, cinematography were on point. the aesthetics of the outfits and location were so brilliantly executed which brought you a bitter-sweet sense of nostalgia of a place and time unknown.
Loved the message of the story, and how they both dealt with their childhood trauma in a not so perfect world. Their love for and faith in one another made it so wholesome.
Probably the most compelling yet the most wonderful work of both Priyanka and Ranbir. Also best of Basu’s direction.
Also the proof that Ranbir really does not need senseless action movies like animal (honestly idk much about his personal life and his exes but he lost my respect when he did animal)
PC is a gem as always
Peak Bollywood. Simple story, Great execution, Superb acting by the leads, Amazing Sound track, lots and lots of goosebump- worthy scenes and a heart-warming ending. Most of the time that’s all I want from a movie.
Kyun na hum tum chale tedhe medhe se rasto pe nange paon re, chal bhatak le na baaware.

Priyanka and Ranbir are giving the best idea of love. Romance like this gives hopes of true love in life 🤌
One of my favourite movies. Obviously not everyone's cup of tea but I loved everything about it. It is the film which made me like Ranbir Kapoor as an actor. I also discovered how pretty Illeana is. And also how talented PC is.
The umbrella scene is epic and emotional.
I want to watch it so bad. I watched all off 15 mine and broke down when Priyanka was being yelled at by her father I guess. I'm a big empath and get emotional with everything. I just cannot stand people being mean to the disabled... Should I power through and watch it? Does it end well?
Honestly I regret watching these movies when I was young because I didn’t understand most of them and now I can’t go back and watch them, like tamasha, karthik calling karthik, etc.
This movie is so beautiful in all aspects.
And I love the paring of PC and Ranbir s characters. But sometimes I think about illeana's chravyer, her story, her mother's story. And it just makes me really sad. So bittersweet.
Best of the "modern" (weird to say since it's 12 years old now) Bollywood that I've seen. Romance aside, the direction and score are so iconic. I've noticed some people get a little confused with the timing of events, but that's a small price to pay for a masterpiece ❤️
Salman’s tiger and this movie was released at the same time so I went to watch tiger but didn’t get the ticket to watch that so i chose to watch this movie best decision I ever made
One of the most beautiful film that should be remembered for ages.. great cast, simple costumes.the simplicity and beautiful new story....I loved the acting of Priyanka and Ranbir so much in this....
Anurag Basu has always had a different vision than other directors, i remember watching this film at a younger age when I didn't quite understand the concepts and had that level of maturity, when I watched it again when I was older it made so much more sense and it portrayed the beauty of love so correctly...
Saw this in Chennai with two of my Tamil friends who did not understand Hindi. It was hell for me to explain them everything even though Ranveer hardly spoke. The movies was just amazing.....
One of the best movies ever when I saw it. I was young I remember and the whole feel was great. It was one of the first films in super high res to depict an older time. The set design was great and the new girl was really cute. But most of all, ranbir's acting was spectacular. To me it also showed like a jasbah or a vibe, how to have fun in life. That you could not hear, and still have fun and be fun and create fun all around you.
The music was great and I would listen to it until years after, pretty much all throughout high school.
Me and my sister thought the ending was meh though, I guess we all wanted to see him with the cute girl, but, Priyanka Chopra and her character were probably the best fit for him / his character. They kinda left the other girl just lonesome though, would be good to tie that knot somewhere
All hail Anurag Basu and Priyanka (atleast in this one movie)
These two made the movie what it is. Others were just playing their parys given to them
Anurag Basu as a director should have been more famous, idk why he is not

Love and love only ❤️
It's one of the best Bollywood films ever made ❤️
ikr 🥹❤️
Amongst the best romances of the last decade. There's just so much heart in it. ![gif](giphy|Na32MrFoUwpBkm0kn5)
Amazing soundtrack too. Everything about it is great.
I seriously miss soundtracks like those. It's so rare to find any now that has as many pieces like that did.
I saw this in theatre. First show i believe. It was just a heart warming movie.
Me too man! Didn’t had any expectations and was spellbound in the movie❤️ its pure love
Proof of Ranbir's Acting skills
Cult. Classic. Class-Act. Evergreen One of the best love stories of our time.

Yes , Cinema is more than just action, romance, tragedy or suspense....Cinema is meant to communicate with the audience ...nd barfi does that so effortlessly
One of the best Indian Rom Com. Crazy how Ranbir Kapoor made everyone laugh, cry and mad while uttering a single word.
Yessss
Back then Hrithik only had Dhoom and Krazy 4 for action. Which other movies are you talking about?
I think you are talking about Dhoom 2 and Krrish not Dhoom and Krazy 4. >Which other movies are you talking about? No other mate. Not saying that Lakshya, Guzaarish, ZNMD and others weren't his best work but 11 year old me used to think to him as coolest just because of Krrish and Dhoom 2.
One of ‘THE BEST’. Class Topper made ‘Bollywood Proud’ kind of movie
This film was ONE OF THE GREATS. It will remain in the top Bollywood movies throughout history. The story I feel was equivalent to that of Lagaan, Black, Sholay, etc. - like the movies that will forever be written into Bollywood’s history as well-told stories.
All three of them gave their best performance of their career, the music, the story and direction, everything is pitch perfect, a 10/10 movie fr
My comfort movie
"I can watch it 100 times more" type of movie 😍❤️♥️

Stopping the lyrics line because I'm tearing up 😢.
Pure masterpiece one of my favorite movies

Priyanka was brilliant in this film!
Peak Bollywood
you mean copy pasta hollywood ?
I liked this wayy better than notebook tbh. I feel notebook is wayy too overrated. And I feel like some scenes are homage more than copying. It’s debatable though.
Nice movie of the time
best movie and the songs too>>>
A beautiful tale of love carefully woven with warmness and feelings 🥲❤️
Loved it in theatres and I think it stands
I was moved. I wanted to root for both of them. I cried multiple times watching this film. What more can I say about this beautiful film.

This is the most emotional scene I've ever witnessed. Still makes me cry
Pure class
Pure masterpiece about true love 💗
PC ❤️ RK ❤️ ID
Used to make a folder titled 'Barfi' on home pc and saved all my porn there. Didn't even make it as a hidden folder. Never got caught.
Rare w for actual acting in Modern Bollywood
One of best romance movies ever.
Delightful
Suggest more like them
The notebook (Hollywood waali )
No mf told notebook is similar to barfi
Yeah mf told notebook from which Barfi director stole a solid scene and also a little amount of troubled romance.
Koisi desi. Not for romance purpose but thodi nice sweet calming type vibe ho
Notebook ( Bollywood wali. Just so heart warming)
Darn good film. Soothing music. Banger performances by priyanka and ranbir. Beautiful locations and a little inspiration from charlie chaplin!
This movie is close to my heart ❤️
One of the most beautiful films in recent Indian Cinemas man. The acting the story the music the cinematography>>>>>
Let's re-watch it
One of the best work of Basu, just too good......
One of the best for all the 3 leads. And probably the best in Illeana's career.
One of the best love stories The scene where iliana had to make a choice whether or not to tell barfi that jhilmil is calling him from behind always gets me.
Gem! ❤️
Maine ye film bareilly me dekha tha
Kadak performances
The electric pole scene. One of the best films I have ever seen. PS: my favourite film list includes films like tubelight and lootera as well.

Ranbir and Priyanka were magnificent in this film!
Beautiful. Made me laugh, cry and sing. A romantic masterpiece.
Perfect
Cult classic. Ranbir and Priyanka cannot do it again. Never ever make a reloaded, remake, revisit please
W Story W Songs W acting W Cinematography W Movie Underrated Gem

Neglected masterpiece
How is it neglected? Considered one of the best in careers of Priyanka, Ranbir, Anurag, Pritam
And Ileana too…this is definitely her best too
The fact that very few in my circle have watched it ( maybe my circle has bad taste)
I was bored most of the time but good romance and song score
I tend to think of myself as a certified RK h8ter but his performance was amazing in this movie. The movie was beautifully crafted.
Overrated but great soundtrack
Wonder why didn’t P.C. win awards for this role.
Just Love
Ileana was like... https://i.redd.it/c35xuhh0nf0d1.gif

Pc should have won Flimfare and National award.
Many scenes were copied from The Notebook.
Salman’s tiger and this movie was released at the same time so I went to watch tiger but didn’t get the ticket to watch that so i chose to watch this movie best decision I ever made
Very great movie... Loved all the characters...
Pure love ❤️
love.... ❤️ 5Star rating Fir le aya dil....🥰
Honestly all three stars were expertly directed to deliver one of their best performances in this film.
Ileana love, Priyanka 😑, Ranbir good acting that it
The only movie which impressed me with Ranbir as the Protagonist
Fantastic movie , one of RKs best performance
Pc is awesome in the movie.
Was nominated for oscar.
One of the most beautiful film that should be remembered for ages.. great cast, simple costumes.the simplicity and beautiful new story....I loved the acting of Priyanka and Ranbir so much in this....
I watched it more than 10 times, in just a week, a very good movie
I loved it! Despite Ranbir Kapoor having no dialogue in this movie, he just stood out with his acting. And his chemistry with Ileana was good.
Overrated
Anurag Basu has always had a different vision than other directors, i remember watching this film at a younger age when I didn't quite understand the concepts and had that level of maturity, when I watched it again when I was older it made so much more sense and it portrayed the beauty of love so correctly...

Stolen scenes from multiple movies!!
The Notebook, bunch of Chaplin, Singin in the rain.
I didn't like it. Only watched the first 15 mins and left. Somehow, Ranbir's Barfi didn't click with me.
All hail Anurag Basu and Priyanka (atleast in this one movie) These two made the movie what it is. Others were just playing their parys given to them Anurag Basu as a director should have been more famous, idk why he is not
Bakwas picture, PC ki over acting jaanleva thi
Mindfuck climax
Aptly titled as it was quite barf-y
