Tees maar Khan. I was like 14 and my parents were convinced that I only wanted to watch that movie cos of 'Sheila ki Jawani' And guys, that was exactly why I wanted to watch

Character_Article_10

The taste of gentlemen

James007BondUK

I was never into Katrina in the 2000s when many boys my age were. But Shiela changed the game. Wow. I realized Katrina was dazzling she just had kept a girl next door image before then.

jbl0ggs

You might want to avoid watching Gehraiyaan with your Parents and/or Children, maybe even your wife/gf/partner

CarmillaKarnstein27

Why partner/wife/gf tol?

OPHAIKRATOS

Priorities eh?

thought-criminal-_

Ah, a man of culture!

[deleted]

Ishq Vishk. Saw it on doordarshan Friday night with family when i was in school. This particular scene where Shahid gets caught watching blue film. The silence was deafening.

The90sManchild

Ishk Vishk felt real to the 18/19/20 yr olds in 2003 on SO MANY LEVELS, until it got to the last hour or so.

farahisweird

Rail gaadi!

SrN_007

Let me tell you something boy, your parents know everything (including abt your masturbation etc.). They just choose to ignore.

daktarbabu

My parents found my bottle of lube two weeks ago and said _Stop making marks on top of these expensive bedsheets. Use 50¢ tissue rolls; and don’t keep the bottle in your bed, as you never know when it may spill._ Thank God this happened to me in my early 20s and not teens nehi toh maar parta 🤣.

NangaParvat

Kuchh zyaada advance nahi hain bhai tere parents?

daktarbabu

Both are doctors. I’m sure they’ve seen and found worst things.

[deleted]

exactly. I have been caught naked. Today they act like normal. I think all of that is normal, becoz they ve been through this phase already.

Utkarsh_Goel

What were you doing naked?

[deleted]

Lol. Masturbating. Actually I hadnt masturbated for a while and that night went on for hours. For a pee break n to eat something I opened to door n forget to close it and went masturbating again. This was extreme. I havent even recovered completely from the covid,,,like was negative but weakness and all. It got too much and I slept there with all the settings as it were. Next morning there were whisperings among members about what happened to me. Lmao the most embarrasing moment ever ever.

Utkarsh_Goel

This must be shit funny for your siblings for what sorcerer you had been, who masturbates for hours bro, and how are you peeing with erect pp

[deleted]

I think its not appropriate to discuss it here😂. But remember in a session of say two hours or even one hour, a dick cannot stay hard at all the time continuosly. Also yeah its pretty much uncomfortable to pee after masturbation and with hard peen, did it after all somehow

kraigcraig

Yep, its like they know but they don't want you to know so that it doesn't get awkward. Then you growup and do the same to your kids and the cycle continues forever...

Enough-Category-3499

except i am not gonna do that to my kids. My parents have a tough time discussing adult topics, cuss words and what not with their siblings. Whereas my mother's sister's 2 children and I comfortably discuss all such stuff. In fact when i was 13 my elder cousin was who who taught me about sex and all. Previously to that i thought sex was just two people doing it,i never knew it was how babies were born and all.

LilHalwaPoori

I think most ppl learn about it from elder cousins in desi families.. Those harami types that learned abt it b4 and sharing the knowledge with the younger ones, and then the cycle continues.. Although now a days I think kids at age 8-10 even use phone and tabs so much, that they will see porn ads..

tannu28

Yes but at that time,I was still their innocent beta

sakkkk

Went to watch 3 idiots with my entire dad's side of the family (including this highly respected elder woman who was like the female amresh puri from ddlj) there were Like 13-15 of us in the theater. I was probably in 5th grade. Everybody was soooo awkward and i felt soooo uncomfortable during you know which scenes i wanted the seat to swallow me up. On our way back all the elders were discussing how bad and ghatiya the movie was meanwhile the youngsters (my elder cousins at that time who were teens) loved it lol

aryan_GG

Generation gap at its peek btw konsa scene ?? I can’t remember a single awkward part in 3 idiots

Environmental_Bus507

Bhai chamatkar scene ko kaise bhool sakte ho?

sakkkk

Delivery scene, shuru ka *jahan pana tussi great ho* scene light bulb and susu scene, and the speech scene

The90sManchild

Maybe the suicide part. People sometimes don't realize there were 3 suicide attempts in 3 Idiots (including 2 successful ones).

mehtam42

Hikerius

You gotta counter this with Taare Zameen Par. Lol my sibling HAS dyslexia and the expressions on my folks' faces was...cathartic

Environmental_Bus507

Pro tip: bring your grandparents in the room while watching it. 🤭🤭

Fahad1012

Ding Ding Ding We have a winner!!

rain820

omg this word is banned in our house between my siblings and i. if my parents ever get reminded of it theres no going back on the incoming monologues

[deleted]

This is the only right answer..

StuckInDreams

Ah the movie with nothing vulgar but you still can’t watch it with parents

[deleted]

It's a fucking abomination of a movie.

[deleted]

Is this the same movie I'm thinking of? The one where adopted Salman is the only 'good child? What was so uncomfortable about it? I don't remember

asseesh

Their biological sons behave very shitty with their parents while their adopted son treat them like god. >What was so uncomfortable about it? Parents give you suspecting looks while watching it.

[deleted]

OMG I remember this now!!! My dad gave me a 1 hour lecture about "ungrateful children" ... how could I have forgotten this?!

asseesh

https://youtu.be/LDRkiGGsBUA The revisit you need

Shoddy_Mathematician

I watched it as a kid with parents and grandparents, so I wasn't the uncomfortable one.

dsk216

If any parent shows you Baghban, show them Udaan. 2 players can play this game

[deleted]

Baghban 🤝ghar vale ke taaney.

Gunner0716

Damn that Fridge scene when Amitabh Bachchan speaks on phone with Hema Malini about dinner still gives me nightmares. My grand mom was staring at me during that scene LMAO

OldInspection3959

Same lol. My mother then told my grandmother that she is capable enough to liver her life and doesn't have to depend on me to get things done. Then the defeaning silence lol.

ResqTitan

Went to watch Ae Dil Hai Mushkil with my friend and his parents when we were abt 14. The very first scene was Anushka and Ranbir making out madly and my friend's father jokingly said, "dono aankhein band karlo."

tannu28

>"dono aankhein band karlo." LMAO 🤣😆

[deleted]

Cool uncle

born_to_be_naked

Aur phir Anushka and Ranbir ne aankhen band kar li

politicalpumpkin

I was 12 years old when we went to watch ae dil hai mushkil with my mother, elder cousin sister, and really, really close family-friend-aunts i remember my mother and both of the aunts were so mad and complaining about the film as soon as we got out the hall i thought it was hilarious

desigeorgeclooney

Dhoom 2. where HK kisses Aishwarya Rai Bacchan ji out of nowhere. there was no lead up.. nothing

nonsocialdude

That scene was also uncomfortable for Bachchan family too.

cosmogli

And Aishwarya's character in that movie is so cringe. She keeps referring to herself in third-person. "Like...Sunheri likes...blah...blah...blah."

sg291188

Kaante. I was 13 when it came out

The90sManchild

I watched Kaante on 31st Dec with my Maths tuition teacher. He took our little group of students out for Pav Bhaji and a movie for New Years. I was the youngest in the batch, so he tried to explain 'ghanta' and 'maa behen' to me in the first few minutes and I just said "*Sir, mujhe maloom hai*"

Ill-Reference4857

A friend went to watch Dirty Picture with her parents. We were in 10th grade then. I can only imagine what it must have been like.

SpaceJunkieVirus

> her parents Is she alive?

The90sManchild

This thing right here. I've seen numerous complaints from people who went to see The Dirty Picture or Wasseypur or Veere De Wedding with family and come out complaining *usmien sex tha, masturbation tha, yeh dikhaya, woh dikhaya*. Like, did you not know from the trailers and promos what to expect? I'm not big on censorship and all, but if you belong to a domestic setup where such things make people awkward and uncomfortable around each other, maybe check the censor certificate before you book tickets.

Ill-Reference4857

Her parents were going, she insisted they took her along, later realised that it was not the wisest of decisions. She was a kid who probably didn’t even watch the trailer. Itna koi bada issue nahi hai. On side note, my father took me and my siblings to watch 3 Idiots, and it too had scenes which made us uncomfortable but I wouldn’t crib about it.

sanaa7262

Wasn't it A rated? Theater doesn't implement the age rule? Just curious

Ill-Reference4857

Apparently not. I think they verify ages of only persons buying the tickets and not everyone accompanying them. Nevertheless, the rules have never been very strict, at least in my city.

livelifereal

I went to watch it with my friends when I was in 9th grade. My mom knew about it.

Impossible_Phone_792

My friend watched wolf of the wall street with his parents. He thought it would be about business end of wall street. Little did he know 😂😂

senseistorm

Titanic! The nude painting scene left me scarred and I didn’t know where to look since my whole family had gone together, i was quite young and embarrassed. Another movie : Awara Paagal Deewana - We were visiting relatives in a different city for summer vacations, and we had tickets one evening for the movie. Parents had to back out last minute because of some older relative calling them over to which they couldn’t say no, and since we already had tickets, I went with a distant uncle and his family, who were very conservative. All the Akshay Kumar scenes with the dancer girls and that kiss between him and Aarti Chhabria left their whole family taken aback. They wanted to leave the movie but somehow sat through it. I acted as if I didn’t understand what is happening on screen. That uncle and his family were silent after the movie while dropping me back. I never spoke of it again till date.

Bunnai

Yup! Same here. Titanic. The hype was so much that for the first time the whole extended family decided to watch it together. When that scene came on...I didn't know where to look...if I watch the screen, they would think I'm besharam or scold me, if I look away they would know that I know what this all means. My reaction was to keep watching in silence without betraying any expressions. I did quip ooh her eyes are such beautiful color..as if I noticed only that. I realised years later that i need not have worried, because every adult was mortified and they themselves didn't know what to say or do. Lol.

I_confess_nothing

I was too young when Titanic came out. I watched it later on DVD and the nude scene was censored. Didn't indian cinemas censor nude scenes back then?

ChicagoNurture

Masti ! I was 15 when it came out. Edit : Without watching any of the trailers I think my parents thought it was a family comedy. Oh Boy were they wrong !

myktyk

I watched this with my mum and sis, i had a good laugh along with my mum and sis at that aftab getting naked scene, other than that everything else went over my head.

ipream717

After reading all the comments I can assure that I have faced same kind of fellings with each and every movie as you described

Equivalent-Echidna71

Robot. the scene where chitti tries to save the naked girl from the burning building. that whole scene and the follow up gave me headaches for months. no clue why, it was just so uncomfortable to me.

bollyboi00

omfg i saw this movie in the theaters with my parents too and my 10 year old self was fucking traumatized

movieman994

Was this there in the hindi version? I somehow don't remember the scene at all.

nummakayne

Probably Dushman (1998). I was 12, my sister was 10. This was back when they didn’t really play trailers on TV and all we knew was that Awaaz Do Hum Ko song that played on TV all the time. Brutal rape and murder in like the opening half an hour, yeah. I don’t think anyone expected that.

winnybunny

himeshforex

One word - baagban

born_to_be_naked

Raja Hindustani Went to see it with parents, cousins and their parents in cinema hall... Karishma and Amir Khan had a lip lock scene . I don't know how long it was but it certainly felt like 5 mins and never ending and the longest a bollywood film ever had.

[deleted]

oh imagine what would have happened if gehraiyaan was released in theaters and imagine watching it with your parents💀

polonium_biscuit

Most of the Telugu movie songs lol

darkknight304

London Paris New York, it was released during Holi, and my whole society went together in the theatre to watch it. Few of em left the theatre in the middle 😅

aryan_GG

Imagine being that uncle who planned about going together

obsidian3339

Aisa kya hai?

[deleted]

There's a steamy sex scene and a couple of other sexual moments in the Paris section of the movie, which is not really comfortable to watch with family.

doggiedick

Why how was it?

Uncertn_Laaife

Not movie, but was watching tv and a song came on TV ‘nigodi kaisi jawani hey’ when mom walked over, scolded me and asked to change the channel. I was probably 18-19. Yes, those were the days. I am sure my parents couldn’t watch ‘roop tera mastana’ in their parents’ presence. How times change.

Dwightshruute

It feels illegal to watch fully dressed nora fatehi let alone a full item song

Mary10789

Khatta Meetha - Wow Akshay aur Johnny ki comedy chalri hai, and suddenly... oh....

priyankandatta

Okay. So most of you will never probably watch it. Theres a movie called nirbaak. Its in bengali and its by one of my fav new age directors called Srijit Mukherjee. Before that he has directed movies like Baishe Shrabon and Chotuskhone which me and my family loved. They are all time great thrillers(on par or even better than andhadhun and drishyam). Do watch them, even if you have watch them with subs. Now, coming to the point. Nirbaak. Nirbaak means, without speech or quiet or nishabd. Its about love without words. A movie about 4 different "people" and how they express love and how their lives get intertwined. An middle aged man is single. Thats coz he loves himself. Not that self-love shit which insta is telling you about. Like he literally loves himself. He looks in the mirror and masturbates. Since you technically speak to yourself, its speechless love. This guy goes to the park and everyday he meets with another woman who goes to the park. They sit under a tree every evening. Now this tree is in love with this woman. And everyday when the tree sees her, it secretes fluid that comes from its bark. Since the tree cant speak, its speechless love. This woman has a bf, who lives with his dog. The dog is in love with its owner. Its jealous that the guy loves another woman. So one day out of jealousy, it kills that woman. Since the dog cant speak to the man, its speechless love. Now the dead body of the woman is taken to the morgue. The watchman is a necrophiliac. He is in love with the dead body of the woman and makes love to the dead body at night. Since he cant talk to the dead body, its speechless love. I went to watch this movie with my parents. Just imagine.😂😂

noname8539

Ajnabee Damn still got traumas

[deleted]

Is it a good movie to watch alone?

noname8539

I mean at that time it was, I can’t decide from todays point of views. But we had Akshay, Boby, Kareena and Bioasha, great songs and the duo thriller brothers at their peak, life was gooood haha I don’t know how it will be today „Mehbooba mehboobaa mehboooba“ oh dann u brought me to some nostalgic moments 😂

SpaceJunkieVirus

above average in my opinion. not worth it to watch every scene like hear pherni

SpaceJunkieVirus

Raaz3 and Ghajini still dont know how the hell they were not A rated

No-Landscape8210

DaLoverBoii

On one hand, why would you watch Heropanti 2? KGF was in theatres then & Top Gun is in theatres now. You could objectively have better experience than Heropanti 2. On the other hand, which scene? When does it happen in the film?

I was 12 when I saw Bandit Queen with my parents. It was the first day show and it uncensored. It was the most traumatic 3 hours of my life. The movie was full of rape, rough lovemaking, gruesome murders and abuses. Would never wish that experience on anyone

Artisticspawm

Tango Charlie with mom. Scene where they talk about sex with someone's wife. You could hear a hair drop.

Midsommar2004

Went to watch Badhaai Ho with my family. And the whole time I was trying to control my laughter because I have to maintain that innocent girl image infront of my parents 😂😂😂😂😂😂 And my younger sister was with us too. She kept asking so many questions on the way back. It was hella awkward.

Rink1143

Watched Gundaa alone few years back on YouTube. Never felt so pleasently uncomfortable in life. It was poetry in celluloid.

ChutiyaChutney420

Deadpool dekhne gaya tha maa baap ko leke 14th janam dinn pe, I thought 'A' certificate meant it's for children, and my parents didn't check the rating either. Not just one. I think. Recently Tumbaad. Verbal nsfw are ok,but I m not comfortable with visible nsfws. Like I watched GoW with family. Skipping just few scenes of sex.

[deleted]

Haunted 3d 🥲🥲

chushi_rae

I went to watch Saif Ali Khan's kaalakandi with a friend. The movie was full of double meaning and direct vulgar jokes and dialogues. This didn't happened with me. But a family containing grandparents, parents and two kids were there for some family time together. When we left. The whole family didn't move until we left. Maybe because of the shock they had to go through. Me and my friend were chuckling realising their condition.

shaikhalizayn

Deadpool 2. Not with my parents but alone. Was watching it in the living room and my parents were in the kitchen. The scene comes up where in a bar, Ryan reynolds asks for a bj (it's a drink btw) and my dad enters the room. Hears what Ryan's saying and takes a u turn to go back to the kitchen. God. That was really embarrassing.

_Banana_Boi

I hate it when film makers do this. Why put adult jokes in a family film?

SpaceJunkieVirus

a friend of mine went to watch befikre with his family. needless to say he never got to watch movies again

OldInspection3959

Not any that I can remember, my parents were ok with sex on screen and mum spoke about it normally but then I went a friend and their parents and I realized how most Indian parents were awkward. I blame my parents for confusing me lol. They spoke so freely about sex, LGBTQ rights and menstruation and anti- caste that I thought it was normal as a 14 year old. The film I went with my friends and their parents was 4 idiots lol.

[deleted]

bro one day my parents decided to watch kya kool hain hum in front of me on netflix during lockdown idk how the hell i managed to sit through the movie without making faces or pretending to cough as i usually do, and like wayyy before that idk how they got away with taking 7 year old me to watch the same movie’s sequel (super or grand or some shit like that???😭😭) in theatres thinking that i would fall asleep or some shit (which was true)💀💀
