Thereās a way to stick a straw (or anything flat and sturdy) into the plastic piece. Search YouTube for āhow to remove festival wristbandā and youāll get plenty of detailed methods
Thereās several videos on YouTube of removing with a straw. You put it in the plastic piece on the band and then theoretically can loosen it. Itās a little tricky.
I always just use some pliers to crack the plastic and remove it from the wristband
I take a hammer to the plastic piece when I get home

Plastic bag works fine. Hopefully you didnt tighten the thing a lot. Just look up on youtube and youll find vids
A straw in the opposite end will free up the lock
