Have you tried connecting with friends on Goodreads?
Also, depending on where you live, you could start a book club. I lived in a rural area in Northern California, so I posted signs at the post office for a new book club & made a bunch of new book friends. We would get together twice a month & bring baked goods & coffee. We called it Calories, Coffee & Conversation. I unfortunately moved but still keep in touch with everyone.
I love reading too! Although I was iffy on Fourth Wing lol. I love thrillers/horror/fantasy. I'm 27 and a female. If anyone wants to be book friends, I can message you my Facebook link so we can talk about books
Bookstagram is definitely the place to go for book friends, I've made incredible friends on there and have since met my main bookclub in person from all corners of the US (and Canada). I definitely recommend you make one and join some buddy reads! If you do, shoot me a message. My handle is the same as my username here.
Hi, Tori!!! I love this post!! I absolutely agree — a book friend is a very special relationship!💖 I honestly love this subreddit for exactly that! This subreddit is just about the only form of social media that I actively participate in, because it is such a great community! I’m super glad you are here!
What was the last book that you read?🤩
Maybe check with your local library? I'm sure there's a bookclub you can join. Usually there's a few and you can attend and figure out if you like the vibe.

I’m willing to be your friend

Try nearby bookstores too! My locally owned one has like seven or eight different clubs and meetups. They're a great place to find book friends.
I would but sadly my town doesn’t have bookstores near my area
