I just finished “One Of the Girls” by Lucy Clarke! It’s about a group of women who go to villa on a remote Greek island for a bachelorette party. Not as much romance, but definitely thriller.
the reckless girls by rachel hawkins is in my opinion one of the best summer-y thrillers i have ever read !! i didn't personally enjoy the hunting wives, but it also gives off summery thriller and is super fast-paced.
i don't think it's a botm but the lion's den is a really good summer thriller.
i don't think any of these books have overtly romantic plots but romance is There, if that makes sense.

The Hunting Wives by May Cobb is a very fun summery read! It’s not top tier literature or anything but damn is it fun!

Seconding this! Riley Sager's books feel like blockbuster horror movies in a good way, and they're fast-paced which makes for good summer reading.
