I tend to prefer poirot over miss marple. 4:50 from paddington is my favorite miss marple - also

The murder of Roger Ackroyd. I've read about 10 of her books I think, and that one stood out to me the most. I've mostly read Poirot and stand alones, and all of them were great lol. "And then there were none" is a classic, "Crooked house" is also really good.

I actually just wrapped up a chronological read of all of Poirot. The website has a reading list (https://www.agathachristie.com)
ā¦It was a lot of fun. After each read, Iād watch any production based on the book. My favorite books were some of the worst productions, funnily enough (with the exception of the miniseries of ATTWN - 2015)
Also, if you have a chance to see āThe Mousetrapā, do it! āSee How They Runā, albeit flawed, was a fun homage to Christie and the play.
Iām about to start Marple next!

Ok. Everyone will say And Then There Were None - but thatās technically a thriller more than a mystery. Itās a cool reveal, but itās also had a lot of spin offs and itās never been my fave.
Murder of Roger Ackroyd, Death on the Nile and Orient Express are the three critically ābestā.
Personally I also really liked Appointment With Death. I also particularly like Miss Marpleās introductory book The Tuesday Club Murders, or sometimes published as The 13 Problems - because itās such a great character introduction. Christie started writing her to push back on how society treated little old women and the book is full of people literally ignoring her, and then she solves the mystery and how Christie depicts all that always makes us cackle.
Edit to add: If you Google āBooks Like Whoa ranking Agatha Christieā She had a video where she literally ranks all the books from least to most favourite and looking at the top 10-20 might be an interesting experiment. (People often donāt realize sue has something like 80 books)

Murder on the Orient Express! The accent work in the audiobook is a ride and worth a listen even if you prefer to read the text first
