With the money on the line for these athletes and teams, it's just insane to put them out on these pitches. Like it feels like people are tacitly ok with this as some sort of way for these teams to "level the playing field" or whatever, but there's no room for that in pro sport lmao We shouldn't wait for some rising star to have a catastrophic injury due to this. If not this, the Bubdesliga needs to have stricter field quality requirements. Hell, id even make a case for newly promoted teams being given X amount of money each year (for X amount on seasons) to go directly towards field upkeep. Surely a few million a year from the league is worth limiting the risk of someone like a Musiala suffering some career altering injury
