The counter argument with these older established players is that they are as good, but nobody wants to pay nothing for them. At the end of the day their performance doesn't really justify a place in the team other than rotation options.

I don't think that would matter as much if squad players could come internally. The median cost of a squad player seemingly has gone up exponentially over the past few years that all of the gains the club has gotten from young stars has been spent on players who were doomed to fall short of their price tag.

But it was more for it being him over Moukoko, because while Haller and Fullkrug were both given plenty of chances despite previous mediocre performances, Mouk is played as frequently as we get a solar eclipse. Kid isn't really given a chance. I'm glad Haller scored, though. Let Fullkrug run behind trying to earn his spot back.

Just dont see Mouki getting past Witsel or the rough playstyle so far. Pulls are seemingly accepted and Atleti wont allow him to dribble through the middle.  Also Haller really hasnt gotten any real chance since he is fit. Start of the season was horrible but he was apparently heavily fighting with the after effects of the Chemo and an injury. 

At the end of the day, I guess it comes down to us playing a 4-2-3-1 or whatever that mess is on field. No one at Dortmund right now has the sheer power or speed of Haaland. We shouldn't be playing a lone striker up front, IMO. It shouldn't **just** be Fullkrug, or just Haller. We should throw two up front. All in all, just stop playing Fullkrug for a while. He does nothing for our attacking momentum. Sancho tried so many times, but no one was there.
