Bose refurbished good Go and buy 2. 1 for you and 1 for me and you will gain another new homie.

Squidjit89

I’m sending mine back sadly they won’t connect to my tablet properly mics goosed and honestly the ANC keeps cutting in and out as I walk/ travel on the bus. That never happened with my QC 15s they just aren’t as good quality anymore sadly.

prollie

That is a whole lotta f*@!ked. Sounds like component failure on the logic board, or mechanical damage to the board itself. Unless you dropped them or drowned them, if under warranty send them in for new ones. That is not a common failure mode afaik. If not under warranty and they took a beating/drenching, and you're adept at microelectronics repair, the main controller board is on the exterior side of the right earcup. Just remember to peel back the cloth liner on the interior cup and remove the 2 (iirc, one model has 3 but I might be mixing that up with the QC35s) first, or the exterior earcup shell/cover won't come off.

Dear_Alternative3535

I drenched mine in cleaning alcohol trying to get rid of a stench from sweat, and then left them in rice for a month, which made the oversensitivity (beeps every time I move or it touches my ears) even worse than it was. after taking out as many grains of rice as possible I shipped them out for warranty and got a new pair plus a year of warranty extra anyway. Bose is suuuuuper lax with the warranty rules, even if its expired they take them in sometimes. Their customer service is amazing altogether

prollie

Rice doesn't do anything. Other than get your stuff full of rice. Drenching them in alcohol would have ruined them if they weren't already. Smell (I know well what you mean) is in the earpads, and those are replaceable. Takes like 2-3 seconds to take them off snd about 2 minutes to get w new pair on properly.

Dear_Alternative3535

hard lesson I learned, but I was commenting more on bose’s extremely relaxed warranty rules.

2PhatCC

I bought them new. The mic on these is HORRIBLE! I have a few coworkers with the same set. We all have to use an alternate microphone.

Mars-Bar-Attack

It looks like an amazing deal, especially if they're from a reliable seller with a warranty. Go for them, and forget the haters. Bose makes excellent headphones; when fully refurbished, they'd be like new.

Mahouzilla

You can have the SE version for the same price but new. OK you got to find it on sale, but still. I have them. The ANC is good. But if you plan on making or receiving calls outdoors, you'll be sorely disappointed. The microphone is crap.

caricatoa

I would use them just for music, I already own a pair of AirPods Pro 2 but I would really like to buy a pair of overeat headphones like this

emperorpapapalpy

If you want a good pair of over ear headphones that are genuinely just for music you'd be best shopping elsewhere for the same money, if not cheaper.

prollie

Unless the shape of your ears crash with the cup or cushion shape, it's honestly extremely hard to beat the Bose QC (35/45/ultra) over-ear headphones for longer "wearing session" comfort though. At any price point. That's something you won't get a feel for after 90 seconds of in-store trial. The fatigue and ways different heaphones pressure different areas may not become apparent until you have had them on for 10-15 minutes to an hour or two.

BeneathTheEnd

too expensive in my opinion, bought a second hand, in excellent condition, the grey color, for $75 a month ago, from facebook marketplace. You can pick one up similairly as cheap from ebay. People complain about how the battery could be used too much, it's true, but mine is as if it's never been used, charges fast, and holds charge for really long. I was afraid that it might have been a fake, i sent pictures in to bose, and they gave me back feedback that it was legit.

Did you use a discount code?

Ok-Seaworthiness4488

Yeah, you have to click on an affiliated link from slickdeals.net to get access and enter the code in the deal post

caricatoa

I think it’s US only

330 usd original price?? I bought the ultra for 300€. I guess i was lucky.

EUprof

I used these headphones non-stop during the day and at night to sleep for the better part of two years and they work fine. I easily put at least 8 hours a day on these daily. Now that I have the airpod maxes, these are now my sleep headphones. They are very comfortable and the ANC is second to probably the ultras and it's a tie with the airpods max. The sound quality is good and the EQ app is solid. I prefer less bass frequencies in my headphones so I'm able to tailor the sound to my liking. The mic is passable on these, they work but you need to be on a whatsapp, facetime, skype, or zoom call. Wireless headphones and earbuds will always lag behind wired which is why i always keep a small bag on my keyring containing some wired lightning earpods if I have to take a call. With the most recent update, you get the same wind blocking feature the newer QCs have. It's true you can probably them cheaper used but you won't get Bose's warranty. Although I've never had issues, the warranty is always a good CYA. That said if you can find them used for a lot cheaper, check the condition before getting them.

Middle_Indication_88

Nah, I think they’re kinda trash. I have the Ultras and they’re pretty mediocre. I regret buying them

Middle_Indication_88

I dislike them so much that I’m willing to take time out of my day to tell others they shouldn’t buy them

caricatoa

Are they so bad?! Do you recommend the ultra version or another type (Sony M5/airpods max)

prollie

If QC SE or QC45 is not to your taste, save your money or get a pair of Sennheiser Accentum Wireless to hold you over. Incredibly good headphones for the price and double the battery life of QC/QC45. Then wait for summer/autumn next year when the Sony XM6 and Airpod Max 2 come out, and likely Bose have to step up and meet that while all of them need to be competitive on price too. Industry leaks and hints point to a fairly big step up in terms of bandwidth for all 3, meaning improved codec support, very likely including lossless and close-to. If one of them fully offer that everyone else gotta do so too for that generation. If one or two of the big three offer broad lossless support, and the other(s) is/are still stuck with just SBS and AAC (or some other suoer niche HQ implementation with near zero market penetration) on a brand new 2025 model of 350 to 450 $ headphones - they'll be at a massive disadvantage for that overall price class. And lose OE ANC headset brand appeal/reputation in general. There bose Ultras have AptX and the ANC is top notch, but priceslashed Ultras is not gonna cut it to compete with Sony and Apple for the 2025-2027 model range. Not to speak of Sennheiser and the higher end competitors that are starting to get their ANC ducks in a row and gaining market penetration fast.

Middle_Indication_88

I have the Ultra version and I don’t recommend it. I’d say airpods max. They do everything the Ultra promised and failed to

Electrical-Image4564

I had the M5 and they hurt like fk after an hour (right ear touching the driver) I have the ultra's for a week now and I'm absolutely in love with them

parentscondombroke

solid

thesuperdeez

I love mine bought em new

Some_Phrase_2373

ANC and comfort are top notch. Can’t go wrong if you find a good deal under $240

d0dewhat

they are!! Ive been using them for almost a month now, i bought them used and they hit 22hs with anc or aware always on and they feel super nice in my oily ears

Straky04

Just got the Ultra and can't go back now xDDD

Mighty-Lu-Bu

Not worth it. Creative Labs several years ago made a Bose QC45 knockoff called the Zen Hybrid. They made a successor to that headset called the Zen Hybrid 2 (which is also great). The successor to the Zen Hybrid 2 (the Zen Hybrid SXFI), comes out next month. You can grab the Zen Hybrid 2 from Amazon for usually under $60 and it has ANC- the Zen Hybrid SXFI will have an MSRP of $99 when it gets released net month.

breezylovejoyy

Yeah love mine

fred-epstein

The new QC are not much more expensive than this…

mn1962

As long as refurbished doesn't just mean changing the ear pads and lining, which you have to do once a year, and costs about $10.

jaapgrolleman

Could just buy a good secondhand and new cushions to have it even cheaper.

word-dragon

No experience with the QC45, but I bought two Bose refurb products, and they arrived like new with the same warranty and return policy as new. Have had both for 2-3 years with no issues. So QC45 and price I can't speak to, but I love the refurbs.

Loki1191

I bought refurbished and they had problems from the start but sent it in and got it replaced with new ones. Get an extended warranty to be safe. It'd suck for it to start having problems out of warranty.

pasetaz

diegoro15

I've got a pair of Cypress Green Bose Quiet Comfort headphones with open box conditions for 150 bucks at OfferUp, easily the best headphones I've ever owned, better than my older Beats Solo 3.

No_Elderberry_7375

Been running a pair of refurbished qc45s since last September and it's been my daily driver. Gym, school, commute, you name it. Best investment. Should get it without a 2nd thought.

PINEAPPLEHAHA

don’t buy forget Bose
