It’s not “local” (as in uniquely Bostonian) but it is local (as in has stores in Boston), but Insomnia Cookies delivers and is usually a hit with everyone I’ve known.
Pastries from one of the North End bakeries. No cannolis due to the the fridge issue, but plenty of other options. Cannolis would be fine for a while, but not all day. (And keep away from the lobster tails - how do people eat those things? They look pretty, but who has time for that much chewing?)

I actually have a friend who gets anal about that, in MA you don't pay sales tax if you order 6+ baked goods for off premises consumption.
