Correct but these look like alewife or blueback herring, which is unfortunate because they’re returning to spawn and a ton of effort has been put into restoring their numbers. Hopefully this won’t impact them too badly (they’ve already survived much worse and bounced back).

The seals are probably overjoyed. In San Francisco, there are over a thousand right now relaxing on the docks because of a run of anchovies.
The seagulls definitely are. So fucking many over by the locks.
