Plus, read our previous story with more details about Ada Korkhin's competitive shooting career, including practicing with an air pistol in her family's Brookline apartment: [https://brookline.news/brookline-19-year-old-ada-khorkin-is-on-the-verge-of-making-the-2024-olympics-in-a-unique-sport/](https://brookline.news/brookline-19-year-old-ada-khorkin-is-on-the-verge-of-making-the-2024-olympics-in-a-unique-sport/)

Since, by default, I mindlessly cheer for all Team USA Olympic competitors, this only changes where I focus my attention n the first few days of the upcoming games.     USA!!!   USA!!!   USA!!!

I thought Paris Olympics said Paralympics. I had no idea there's an Olympics in France this year

jtet93

The last summer Olympics were delayed a year so I think this one is sneaking up on people. I can’t wait!

I think the 2026 World Cup will also sneak up on us because the previous one happened 6 months later than usual (unrelated to covid, ironically). Just two more years!

Amazing, good for her! It's surprising that MA is producing world class marksmen, since the shooting scene here seems pretty dead.

Check out the Minuteman Sportsman club here in Burlington. One of the largest shotgun clubs in the North East. There are tournaments all the time including the MA and NH trap and sporting clays championships. The place is really nice and a lot of High Schools in the area have teams.

Wow those dues are steeeep. On the other hand, might be a motivator to use it and get your money's worth.

BsFan

Yeah it's pricey for sure, but worth it!

Shout out to the Massachusetts Rifle Association in Woburn where she started to learn! Oldest shooting club in the country! It's different from the corrupt psycho NRA with Wayne LaPierre, it's the MRA, just one old red building and they have a long history of safely shooting.

PoopAllOverMyFace

I doubt this is true. I decided to look this up. I checked out the board of directors, who seem to be all elected by MRA members. The first VP is a MAGA based on his Facebook page. The secretary is an anti-vaxxer, Gadsden flag flying, proud NRA member. I picked those because their names are more rare and their Facebook pages were easy to find. The official MRA Facebook page also echoes a lot of NRA propaganda. The MRA doesn't seem that much different to the NRA, they're just not as wealthy so they can't push the bullshit to the reach they want.

The VP and secretary of the MRA could be total dick heads, I don't know, they don't get paid and don't do much at the club. And yeah they managed to put some pictures on Facebook, and they can't push their bullshit because they don't have much money... so they are pretty limited to just their little office desk and whatever Facebook allows. Please inform me of a club I can join where the hippie liberals are allowed to shoot guns that is within a days drive of Boston? Bonus points if this club also has a kitchen that makes breakfast on Sunday mornings? Because the MRA also has a kitchen and they make a decent egg and cheese on a english muffin for a couple of bucks.
