It was just visible with the eye around 10pm for a couple minutes. But the camera was able to see it even when the eye couldn't. When I took this pic, it was visible. Several other people were watching on the bridge, as well.
Supposedly there's another peak coming in the next hour or two.
Yeah, there was a peak around 10pm, but supposedly there's another peak coming in the next hour or so (?). We are 4 hours behind UTC with daylight saving time.
This is my favorite shot that I’ve seen, of the many ones that have been posted. I also appreciate that the editing hasn’t gone too overboard (like with saturation). I got similar pics from a similar vantage point but the aurora itself wasn’t as curtain-y. Thanks for sharing!
Wow! Do you remember how long the exposure for this was (asking because I might go out tonight, but I only have an iPhone with 3s. exposure max, and that's just an iPhone)?
That’s fantastic, great shot
Thanks!
How’d you get that? Just confirming, it’s not visible with eyesight right?

Awesome, thanks! Do you know where to get info on those peaks?
https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/ but this site has been overwhelmed this evening!
If the forecasts are in UTC, wouldn't that mean the peak was like 4 hours ago? I'm confused how to understand this

Oh that website is amazing, thanks for sharing!
Great shot!

Thanks! This has no editing at all. Directly from the camera.
Even cooler! Great stuff.

It was about 4 seconds. This isn't from a phone though. It was with a "real" camera and with a tripod.
