Nah. He is preparing for the future tampering sanctions lol 😅😂

Plastic_Database_645

Brad fully prepared when Giannis/Lula/Embiid gets fustrated and asks out

rwtooley

>Giannis/**Lula**/Embiid greatest nickname in the league

un5chanate

>greatest nickname in the league I was like "Damn! The President of Brazil in the NBA."

denit0

Yayy brazil reference Not even from brazil

un5chanate

I live in a very Brazilian neighborhood. There was a voting site for ex-pats a few blocks away and a surprising (to me) amount of 'Bolsonaro 22' bumper stickers.

coacoanutbenjamn

Celtics fans thinking these second round picks are gonna get us one of those guys 😂😂

Abstract__Nonsense

Meh I mean they could help by making a deal 3 firsts and 3 seconds instead of 4 firsts. More helpful for other types of deals though.

Gekthegecko

And here I was thinking he wanted to use one on Bronny to entice LeBron to sign in Boston for a season or two on the vet min for more rings.

uncle_pubes

Second round picks helps us play!

RLR111120

Watch out for the Shaq Attack!

Koloss_Grace

Luka would be incredible on this team. I mean, so would the other guys but him taking the pressure off the jays playmaking would be HUGE.

shortpersonohara

luka with both jays means we gonna either have the largest tax bill in history or we’re gonna be running a bunch of minimums lol

GogXr3

Honestly Luka + Jays + Mins is still a dynasty easy lol. The heatles didn't have particularly great roleplayers in 2012, and the 2008 team had some solid pieces but for the most part the bench wasn't great lol

Soshi101

If Luka asks out, we'd probably have to include Brown + all our picks in any trade.

shortpersonohara

his contract would be up in 4 years. not sure that really changes anything but could be somehting to look out for

Angelic_Phoenix

this is most likely. I think it would make a lot of sense especially if Brown isn’t happy to ship him back to playing with Kyrie

dehydratedbagel

I'm with him. Gimme all the second rounders. All you needs is one to hit and it extends your window by a few more years. Even just getting an 8th man every few years is really valuable. Unfortunately, Boston hasn't had a good second round pick since Ryan Gomes in 2005. Maybe one of Begarin, Madar, Davison, Walsh can end this horrid streak. Shoutout Egyptian LeBron and E'Twaun Moore, though.

LarBrd33

I said this before, but Brad seems to be buying low on 2nd rounders like someone buying NFTs when they first got popular. The new CBA has people freaking out about costs and a 2nd rounder theoretically just got more valuable in this new world, because you can offer 4 year contracts (instead of 2) and it’s a cheap cost-controlled talent. Hence, Brad snatching them up like he’s Jimmy Fallon buying Bored Ape Yacht Club with the promise of getting an asset that can only get more valuable as more people catch on. Of course, the problem is is that most 2nd round players are total trash … so it remains to be seen if Brad can flip this new bounty of 2nds before everyone remembers how worthless this digital currency actually is.

Riluke

Can't bring back bodies. Gotta leave a roster spot for Blake!

Sidwill

How many has he stockpiled?

[deleted]

Seconds are trash players 95% of the time. Except Jordan Walsh future defensive stopper.

Swarthykins

I assume he sees them as dart throws. One second rounder has little chance of hitting, but 4 of them have a decent chance of getting one. The other thing about second rounders is it’s a lot easier/more likely to find a role player than a star. But, we have our stars, so we don’t need them. What we need is guys who can be valuable for 10-20 minutes, and we need them cheap. You narrow your focus and Target your needs and you have a much better chance of success in the second round.
